7.01 The Day Will Come When You Won't Be (10-23-16)
Having been brutally overpowered by Negan and his gang of Saviors, Rick and the group kneel helplessly as they suffer a heavy loss.

To anyone who hasn't watched yet, if I may ... there are parts of this episode that you don't need to witness. I'm sure you will hear about it, and the knowledge of what happened will be enough.
Be well.

Intense episode. Will take the whole week to recover. Abraham -- defiant to the end. Will Daryl feel guilty?

I have to admit that the Negan killing scenes were needlessly graphic and horrific. Showing Glenn's battered skull and brains on the ground were a little overboard. It's one thing to see people killing zombies and vice versa, but seeing human beings slaughter other human beings and laugh and smile while they're doing it is a bit beyond the pale.
I won't stop watching......yet.

... and when he told Rick to cut off Carl's hand!! TOO MUCH!! I could not believe how far they were taking it. I thought Rick would end up cutting his own hand off... like in the comics. well he doesn't cut his own hand off but the gov cuts it off.

I love Ezekiel! And that story he told about how he got Shiva ughh He reminds me a lot of Glenn. Seems like he genuinely cares and is a nice person.

You are welcome.
I watched the second episode and I really liked it. King Ezekiel is nice and he has a sense of humor. I was as surprised as Carol when he and Shiva showed up at her door and he said she really had to try that fruit.
The Kingdom people had to kill a lot of walkers and there were some unique kills, especially seeing the face sliced off vertically. I was wondering how they could live peacefully without Negan bothering them and then Negan's men showed up. That resolved the mystery of why the pigs were fed "mystery fodder".
Carol was hilarious when she was trying to con Ezekiel with the "Your Majesty" bit. Later, she smiled at some people and when they turned their heads, she swiped weapons and clothes. She has come a long way from the abused wife days.
I am glad Morgan is still here. When he told Daniel people change their minds, I inferred that as he realizes sometimes killing a man is necessary. Did Morgan have intuition that one day they would need/use the house that he marked on his way to The Kingdom?

I liked his guy, Jerry, who kept cracking jokes too. We have not seen much humor lately.
