This might be my favorite episode so far this season. It grabbed my attention when the Archbishop strolled across the room and the crosses on the wall turned upside down. I knew the death toll was going to rise. I enjoyed the scene where Dean snatched something off of Agent Zeppa’s jacket and Crowley snapped “Armani”, then made a comment about the Winchesters flannel. Lucifer has sunk to the level of lying to devout people to get them to say “yes”. I do not think of Lucifer as a demon so I am puzzled about his eyes turning red instead of white. If red eyes indicate major corruption, then the mornings I had a hangover are a bad sign. When LOTUS Jeff’s aides were kneeling and waiting for spiritual guidance from him, Lucifer’s eyeroll was as funny as Dean’s famous eyerolls. I did enjoy that. Secret Service Agent Sanchez seems dedicated to performing his duties and I did not want anything bad to happen to him. He looked too young to be head of security, but he is a young looking 43 years of age. The “soap opera” scene with Rowena, her fiancé and Crowley was very funny and, as usual, Crowley had to overdo the dramatic punishment. Big cheers for the outstanding entrance of Arthur Ketch, agent and assassin for the BMOL. He has some really nice toys. That makes sense because Agent 007 also had great gadgets. He is neither good nor evil; he is a watchdog who only comes when called. Sammy is keeping secrets again. I laughed when he referred to Castiel as “Halo”. Of course, the most powerful scene was when the team exorcised Lucifer from POTUS Jeff. We could see the strength required and that Sam did not waver. Rowena kept her promise to send Lucifer back to hell, and the president survived. Alas, it did not all end well. Castiel was able to leave with Kelly, but she ducked out on him because she wants to keep the abomination that is growing inside of her. The SS arrested Sam and Dean and they will spend 6 weeks, 2 days and 10 hours in a black ops prison until the series returns on January 26.

I am glad you really liked this one Anti, I was not as happy with this one.
I thought the first half was boring, I was better with the second half, I did enjoy meeting Mr. Ketch and his toys. It does make you wonder who is worse Lady Bevill or Mr. Ketch?
I really enjoyed the Lucifer exorcism, I thought that was great, but was a little confused why Cas or Crowley weren't affected by the golden "egg" Cas wasn't that far away, how come it didn't affect him?
Kind of wondering why Dean didn't let Cas go up against the SS? He wasn't going to get hurt, and I don't think he would have hurt the humans. Honestly I am not sure what to think about the Spawn of Satan, it could go either way and I am not quite sold on the newer writers to do well with that storyline. I will say the bad team of writers wrote this one an that always make me nervous about an episode. I am wondering how they will get Sam and Dean back?

Dean asked if the egg would affect an angel and they left it unanswered. They really did not explain why Cas was not affected and I did wonder about that. Maybe, if I watch the scene again, I will see something that I missed.
Letting Sam and Dean rot at a black ops site might be tongue-in-cheek for winter break, but what reason can they give on the show? There is a witch who can put the whammy on Lucifer, the defrocked king of hell who can teleport, and an angel who can zap mere mortals, but they let our boys remain in jail. Curious.

Loved this episode. this could take the show in a whole new direction. Crowley splatters her fiance all over Rowena and she loves it! The BMOL finally show up and does some good. Looks like they do have some good toys. I wonder if Lucifer is exorcised for good from the president? Will Luci's baby be born? What dungeon will the feds throw Dean and Sam into? It's gonna be a long time until January.

I just watched some episodes of The Exorcist and a priest explained that the angels who sided with Lucifer were known as rogue angels. They were also known as "demons". I did not know that. I guess that is why Lucifer's eyes turn red and why the demon exorciser worked on him.

Hello, I was reading back some of the comments and you have good questions.
Why can't the team of Crowley, Rowena and Cas get the boys out of jail and wipe some minds?
Are they really going to let a Nephilim (sp) be born, that just seems odd if they do, I thought this season was smaller stories and yet we POTUS in it.
Again, why didn't the egg affect Cas?
