I hope Beharie is happy with her choice to leave the show. She is cast in a reboot of a 1990 film titled "Jacob's Ladder". Perhaps she prefers movies over TV. Ichabod mentioned her several times during the episode and lamented her absence. Jenny also talked about her.
Ichabod's hair looks a little different, but it is beautifully styled. His personality is the same and I love that about him. There was a funny moment when some guys in "Hamilton" style clothes mocked his outfit as old-fashioned and Ichabod said he is not a fan of musicals.
I already like Jake and Alex. Jake is very enthusiastic about learning the significance of the books and items in their library and Alex has "MacGyver" skills which she used to make copper bullets.
Jenny is still very much involved in the fight against evil. I like the way Ichabod puts emphasis on the "v" in "evil".

I didn't like that there wasn't as much comedy and it's not the same without Abbie, but there was still comedy and plenty of references to how outdated Crane is. Introducing him to new people is always entertaining.
I liked how Crane included reality shows about housewives in the definition of evil.
I'm not sure what year it is but you know "Hamilton" has to be mentioned. I would have thought Crane would like musicals but rap is not music.
Crane's new "partner" doesn't think much of new music and I agree. I go back further than she does in defining good music.
I like Jake and Alex too.

I am glad you mentioned the quip about "housewives" and I thought that was very funny.
When I saw the daughter's drawings, I was shocked. I was also a little alarmed because it seemed she might be the witness. I do not think I would enjoy a child witness because the witnesses are constantly in peril. Anyway, I am sure I read that Diana is the other witness, but maybe I should add her daughter to the cast list.

4.02 In Plain Sight 1-13-17
Crane and Jenny must find a way to break difficult news to Diana; the team discovers a new case may involve witchcraft.

Excellent episode. Both Diana and Jenny teamed up with Ichabod to hunt for a team of witches that punished people for lying. The witches were dangerous, but they worked with either Franklin or Jefferson to guard an artifact. Ichabod has not learned what the artifact is, but the team does have some clues.
Malcolm Dreyfuss has a devious plan and luring the Headless Horseman to D.C. seems to be a part of it.
The new Witness has been revealed.

I enjoyed Heads of State. The horseman was able to use the body of a policeman. I do not recall him doing that in other seasons. It was a treat to see the white horse with the red eyes and he always looks so fierce.
I like the way Alex and Jake accept Ichabod’s explanations and Jake looks thrilled to learn that the “myths” are real. His knowledge of runes and history has been very helpful. Jenny is a very pretty lady and Jake does stare at her, and I cannot blame him for that.
They did an excellent job of trapping the Horseman, but Dreyfuss is setting him free. I thought Jobe would be subservient to Dreyfuss, but he speaks his opinion, without apology. I do not know enough about Jobe to evaluate their relationship, but I think it will be an interesting story.
I am not convinced that taking someone's head gives anyone power, but it was an interesting reason for the Horseman to come to D.C.

By the time I finished this episode, I only had a half hour before bedtime. So I waited until the next day. I've lost track of what happened in each episode but I'm guessing Jenny rescued Molly from bullies in this one. Though her mother wasn't pleased at Jenny being around Molly. That's weird that phones can see the witches as they are.

Alex did the research and knows Crane must be some kind of time traveler. There was plenty of humor as everyone learned the truth. And now they know why Crane is such an expert on history. But Molly's mother is not willing to let Molly be a part of all this and I guess she's right. Crane is a regular Forrest Gump. He seems to have been around for everything. That was fascinating how they captured the horseman, at least temporarily.

I really enjoyed the episode and I enjoyed seeing Henry again even though his visage was being used by a monster.
The team worked well together to help Ichabod and I like Jake and Alex's enthusiasm.
Molly saved the day without being put in harm's way.

I want to start by mentioning something that happened last week. They showed deeds by the Headless Horseman, and in one case, I recognized a building I will probably walk past tomorrow, which had an ironic "Welcome" sign outside. If I can remember I'll post a photo and information about it.
That was one weird episode and I'm glad they had some humor from Alex and Jake.
Molly's mom's attitude is understandable but Molly's contribution will be so valuable.
One of her drawings of Crane looked like Mick Fleetwood. Scary!
They got to Crane just in time.

Interesting that the Philosopher's Stone also showed up on "The Flash".
I'm still happy with the humor on this show.
Now we know the story of Dreyfuss and his partner. And Dreyfuss shouldn't have cheated his partner. It was amazing our heroes got out of that situation.

The evil thing Dreyfuss did to his partner makes him seem petty. He would have lost all of his equipment, but the deal was horrible.
The stuff Dreyfuss' former partner was using to destroy the building sounds like the stuff they used in the season finale of "Game of Thrones" and it caused a spectacular fire.
I wonder if Jobe is really gone.

I enjoyed the episode and I am glad they have not eliminated the town of Sleepy Hollow from the show. The sphinx has been there all along and they did not know it. Did Ichabod ever return to the spot of his death during current time? If he did, he did not make the connection to the Philosopher’s Stone. Again, Banneker played a key role in Ichabod’s past. Jenny, Alex and Jake were brave. I like the way they battled the sphinx and the demon. The explosion provided an escape route, but I could not tell if it totally destroyed the Philosopher’s Stone. Dreyfuss gained some healing power, but I do not think he got enough to be immortal. The explosion knocked the demon lamp out of Miss Jenny’s hand and I am sure we will see Jobe again. It was a shock to learn that Gen. Washington sacrificed Ichabod "for the greater good". Ichabod assured Diana that Polly's introduction as a Witness would not be horrifying the way his and Abby's was, but he spoke too soon. The scene where Ichabod was talking to Abby’s grave was touching, but to be honest, it made me resentful that she left the show. I loved Ichabod's bow. I like the headless horseman souvenir and I would like to have one of those even though I do not collect stuff like that.

I was so glad to see Sleepy Hollow again myself. They showed the sign twice, so it looks like the "village" has increased in population. I live in a village myself, but it has less than a thousand people, and that's mostly college students.
There's still plenty of humor, and introducing Alex and Jake to Sleepy Hollow provided lots of opportunities for that. But even that first scene at the gas station would have been enough to keep me happy.
Alex and Jake get to contribute, even in this unfamiliar world.

This was a good episode in which Polly played an active role. During a conversation with Crane, Polly was told to trust her instincts, and that helped her when she was in danger. Polly has quickly bonded with Crane and there is warmth between them.
When I learned the Witness was going to be a child, I was concerned about the violence, but I feel better about it now.
That was a horrible creature that I had never heard of and I am glad it was not Dreyfuss. Speaking of Dreyfuss, he really acted like he was born-again. His back-stabbing Board of Directors looked as if they thought he was crazy. I wonder how he plans to make the world a better place.
I was shocked Jenny trusted Jobe to keep his word, but he did what he said he would do. My guess is that as long as Dreyfuss is living, Jobe gets to remain topside rather than return to hell. That is a good reason to help Dreyfuss.

I never suspected Diana's ex wouldn't really be him. He seemed nice enough and I saw no reason not to trust him. When Molly realized he wasn't taking her to where she thought, she figured it out.
As usual, the first scene gave us some humor.
Crane is really good with the children.

The scene in the bar when Alex was talking to her date was funny until her date started glowing. It became very serious quickly. Other shows I watch talk about Djinn but this was a Djinn unlike any I have heard about. People would burst into flames if they were restrained and prevented from following the voice calling to them.
Poor Alex. That was a terrible date and the guy had insisted she watch the infected viral video. When Jake learned Alex was infected, he would do anything to save her. I was surprised he infected himself so that he could follow her. I knew they were friendly co-workers but I did not realize he felt that strongly about her.
I really liked the telling of the history behind the Djinn. I also enjoyed watching them save people and defeat the monster.
We saw only a little of Dreyfuss and Jobe, but we learned they raised the monster. The actor who played Peter Pan in “Once Upon a Time” is a teenage idol and he is in league with them.
I wonder why we were shown Molly's vision of a much older Ichabod imprisoned and alone.
