I hoped that during the final season, the show would bring back our favorite characters plus tie up some loose ends. They are already doing that. I thought Gavin was a sweet character and I liked seeing him again. Our favorite devil is back in his original form and the explanation was pretty good compared to some of the weird explanations we have gotten from Supernatural.
They put the scary back into ghost stories. I kept anticipating something happening to the lady who was preparing to go to bed. She approached the closet and stopped. When she opened the door, I thought something would grab her. But nothing happened. When something did grab her, it was awful. I did not realize it was a ghost.
It seems strange to watch a man casually observing Mary while she takes on the monsters. She has fancy new toys but it still seems odd. The BMOL want her to put distance between herself and her sons. If you ask me, she had already done that. I was surprised Mary told Dean and Sam the truth about what she has been doing. I did enjoy Mary telling Dean to not give her that face. I love that expression of his. He does not need to say a word because his face says it for him. I wonder how that conversation ended.
Poor unloved Crowley. Can Rowena ever do something out of the kindness of her heart? I felt sorry for Crowley after Gavin left, but Gavin really wanted to be with Fiona.
I should save my pity for when Lucifer breaks free. Crowley and the Winchesters will be in trouble.

Somewhere between "so-so and I liked it."
For me, the best parts of the episode were the ones with Mark Pelligrino. He is the best Lucifer.
As for Rowena and Crowley, the writers keep tempting us with their softening attitudes, but we all know that at their cores they're monsters. And when did Crowley and his son become so fond of each other? I seem to remember when Bobby first raised Gavin, Crowley made it quite clear that he and the boy loathed each other. As for Rowena, her payback was typical for her.
The Mary they're showing with incredible fighting and killing skills (even with the BMOL toys) seems to be a little bit of an overreach to me. Mary stopped hunting when she was still very young. She was probably 20 when she and John married and it was 10 years before Azazel showed up to fulfill his bargin with her. By that time she had had 2 children and been away from fighting for a long time. Shouldn't she be taking longer to get back those skills?
But I do love the interactions between her and Dean and Sam. And when she tells them she's working with the BMOL, I thought they would both completely lose it. "Don't give me the face!" Dean is having the roughest time because he remembers the "mom" while Sam just knows this version.
As for "Baby Mama," I can't figure her out. Why would she want to carry the baby of the Devil? But it is cool how they're bringing in the other fallen angels to the story.
Loved the ending with the Stones singing "Playing With Fire." But I couldn't figure out what Lucifer said at the end. Couldn't be good, though.

I guess she will show up with the baby mama at some point.

I liked it, it had some cute moments and some sad ones, and then as always with these writers some weird ones.
Both of you have already summed up most of the episode, so I don't have a lot to add. I think when Crowley saw Gavin in S6 he didn't like Gavin, I think it was after he had the human blood deal at the end of S8 beginning of S9, that his attitudes softened a little and when Abbadon brought him back he had some feeling for Gavin, that may be why Crowley didn't want Gavin to leave. However we have never seen anyone talk or mention Gavin till now, so who knows? I would have liked to have known what Gavin had done for the last 2 years, that would have been more interesting to me then some of the other scenes we had.
I do think Rowena meant what she said to Crowley about Gavin not being like them, I found that sweet, I also think Crowley might have had tears in his eyes, I think or hope he liked the idea of having Gavin around (long distance around). the relationship between Rowena and Crowley is very odd and when I think it could be closer then she says or does something that just blows it up.
I won't trust Mr. Ketch and I think Mary is a fool, he is feeding her ego, and while I think she doesn't trust him 100% she is still playing with Fire (get it, LOL) I hope Sam and Dean make her realize her mistake before anyone else dies.
Crowley will pay for his mistake with Lucifer, his need for revenge will not work, he is smarter than most people or beings, he should know that you can't let Lucifer out of the cage. When Lucifer called for Dagon, it is only a matter of time before Lucifer is freed and then all Hell breaks loose for not only Crowley, but everyone else.

I was baffled when Rowena indicated the man she killed was like a son because I thought they were lovers. But, either way, she held a grudge. I remember the Winchesters were sending Gavin back to his grave, but Crowley whisked him away. I felt at that time that Crowley and Gavin had bonded. Although Crowley still kills his enemies, he has let people into his life that he cares about and will protect, namely the Winchesters. He would probably still defend Rowena if she was in danger. Rowena and Crowley have a relationship that is more dysfunctional than the Winchester clan, and that is extreme.

Here is a theory that is way out, Is the other Prince of Hell Asmo how ever it is spelled, is that actually Mr. Ketch?
I find Ketch without feeling, and he has always been weird with Cas, It would kind of make sense, that he is looking to either recruit the Winchesters or split them up?
Thought? I know it is out there but it is something I was thinking about.

Wow, you're right, that is out there. Ketch does appear to be superhuman when it comes to dispatching people. I have marveled at his skill in that area. If Ketch was the King of Hell, would he be able to get past the BMOL's wards and sigils?

I know it is out there but it is something I was thinking about. I have given this further thought. The Winchesters work with both angels and demons so it is possible that the BMOL would strike a similar relationship. Perhaps a Prince of Hell could disguise his true nature from Cas. That would explain why Mr. Ketch is so powerful and soulless.

I don't know if the BMOL would know for sure if Ketch was something else, but he has been described by them as a psychopath, it might make a little sense. I would think he could kill as much as he wanted and no one in the BMOL would know, because everyone thought the Princes of Hell were dead.
IDK, just a thought, Ramiel said Asmodeus(sp) had his hobbies, so I was wondering what he would be doing to keep himself busy all these years.
