Not authorized; File not found

I've had the worst time getting here. First I was asked for a username and password (this was related to the Internet in general), and entering that information did nothing but cause the box to appear again.

Then I got a pink screen and messages that told be I wasn't authorized or the file wasn't found.

People have been getting similar messages on another site I go to, but it was announced that site was going through maintenance.
