I am going to have to stop reading other sites about episodes, they tend to make me not like the ones I liked as much as I thought I did.
The MOTW was a little lame but I did like a lot of aspects of this one. First things first, did anyone else notice that Mark P. name was in the credits with J2M2 before the guest starring credits came on, is he a series regular now? Is it just for this season?
I loved Crowley and Dean in the woods when Crowley was mocking Dean, I know it was childish but it was funny. I know Crowley has done bad, awful, horrible things but I like him, he has shown a fondness (softness?) for the Winchesters and Cas, though it almost makes me wonder if he doesn't have a big plan down the road to do bad things to everyone. And it was GREAT to see that he did have a plan to control Lucifer, and wasn't as stupid as I thought he was for keeping Lucifer with him. I thought it was hilarious when Gwen hugged him, but I can't hear what Crowley says to her right after that, I have watched about 4 times and still can't make it out.
I liked Sam being honest with Dean, I am glad he came clean, but I don't know if working with BMOL is smart or not, every time they have teamed up with others, (Campbells) it always turns out bad. I get that Sam's talk with Gwen was the reason he told Dean the truth, but I would like to think he would have come clean on his own. His fight with Ramsey was odd, he seemed to get knocked over way too fast, but I liked Gwen helping him out at the end.
I think the new writers need to go back and watch some of the past seasons of SPN, Dean has always been shown to be a neat freak, and yet he is perfectly ok to walk around with gross stuff all over him and not care? I don't know for sure but it seems as if Dean didn't have much to do, but I am not sure if Jensen was still having time off for the twins.
Cas seems lost, and depressed, and I don't mean lost as in directional, lost without a purpose. even though he is looking for Kelly he seems to go thru the motions as if he doesn't care about the end game. I still worry about Cas this year, I have read where some think he is safe but I am not so sure. I did like Kelvin and Cas, Kelvin seemed nicer than some of the other angels to Cas, but I worry that it is a trap to get Cas back to Heaven, however it would be interesting to see Joshua back.
Now we have a 2 week hiatus till the next episode.

I enjoy the humor as much as the drama and monsters so this episode was made for me. I rated it a 5 because I enjoyed the humor so much. November, I did not notice, but after reading your observation, I looked and his name was listed before Misha's. I have not seen any information on Mark P. being cast as a series regular though. Gwen Hernandez handled the Hellhound situation very well. She kept her wits enough to hit it with an ax and later exited the car to help Sam. It’s too bad she has to live with the guilt of inviting her friend on a camping trip even though she was going to dump him when she left for college. I think the special effects with the Hellhound was done nicely. I liked being able to see the hound and when we could not see it, we could follow the prints it left in the soil. Crowley and Lucifer scenes were great. I am happy too that Crowley had a good plan to control Lucifer. When his two trusted minions said they let the dog out as a distraction and then released Lucifer, I was sure Crowley was going to be captured again. Then I was baffled when Crowley saw the collar lying on the floor and casually entered the room with Lucifer. I really enjoyed that. I hope Kelvin can be trusted, but he seemed a little too slick. Cas needs some positivity in his life and I hope it is true that Joshua is willing to negotiate returning Cas to Heaven. I think Dean’s role in this episode was for comic relief. When Dean warned Sam to be careful with Baby, I knew the car was going to be damaged. The entire scene in the bunker was hilarious. When I saw Dean’s weapon, I yelled “Lucille!” Dean was covered in gunk from the battle with the siren and that was really yukky. When Sam said Dean had worn the same boxers for four days, Dean said he turns his underwear inside out so instead of four days, it was two and two. When Sam told him to clean up, he said there were some wipes in the car. Then he said he was going to use the special shampoo Sam always hides from him. More humor: Mary was still working with the Douche busters. Cas was working a job in Idaho because “someone is killing angels… again”. I am sure the “Queen of England – reptilian” comment is a Misha reference, but goodness gracious! Manager of restaurant: “That’s why you are here…men in black, well, you know… beige.” “The only thing I care about is making hell great again.” In response to "Maybe I have rubbed off on you", Crowley to Dean: "Maybe I have rubbed all over you." Crowley to Dean “It could get weirder.” Crowley just said “Yeah.” Then he said, “Ah, dog dead. Must be going.” That has been my experience also.

The "Lucille/JDM" reference. So why did a hell hound go after that young couple? Why is is just watching Gwen? Castiel happens upon a nutcase that has film of the new yellow-eyes in town. The back and forth with Mark Pelligrino is always great, but the other stuff with Crowley' henchmen in Hell is just silly. Lucifer's hellhound is out loose? Is the demon who met Castiel the same one who meets with Crowley in Hell? They look too much alike. Oh wait, one has a beard and once has a goatee. Minions demanding things of Lucifer? That won't end well. Why doesn't Crowley sense the hellhound when it's following Dean and Crowley? Why tempt Castiel? What's the other guy up to? Pelligrino is the best Lucifer ever!!!! Loved when he "lit up" and his eyes turned red. Hellhounds are one of the best monsters SPN has ever come up with. Glad Dean is giving Sam's play with the BMOL a chance.

SoCal, Your post made me think about something, Lucifer did spread his wings and glow the way angels do, but then all Crowley had to do was snap his fingers and poof, it was gone. So is it just Lucifer that Crowley has this control over, OR could he do this with any angel? It make me wonder, could he do this with Cas, or any other angel, then what was the point of saving Cas?
I agree with you about the demon minions, they are pretty stupid, and they should all know by know that Lucifer will never honor any deal if it isn't in his best interest.
Anti, thanks for letting me know what Crowley said, it was driving me crazy. Dean's little shudder when Crowley says rubbing off on you. lol

Pellegrino is definitely my favorite Lucifer. SoCal I love the image of Lucifer in his glory. Crowley's finger snap shutting Lucifer down was really shocking. That Hellhound was Lucifer's pet so he will be angry about that too. I agree Crowley should have known the hound was in his vicinity. Maybe Crowley did not say anything because he wanted a longer stroll with his buddy. novemberschild You are welcome. Closed captioning stays on my screen and I am always happy to check the dialogue. Crowley's smug monologue explained that in addition to Rowena's spell, Crowley cast a spell that altered every molecule in Lucifer’s meat suit. The spell gives Crowley total control over Lucifer as long as he is trapped in that body. I wonder if Dagon will have to destroy the body to undo the spell and free Lucifer.
