'Green Arrow' pilot in development at The CW

The CW is developing a pilot based on DC Comics character Green Arrow.

First introduced in 1941, Green Arrow is a Robin Hood-like superhero who uses trick arrows to fight crime, while maintaining the civilian identity of billionaire Oliver Queen.

The CW adaptation will feature an "original story" and will not be based on a specific storyline from the comics, according to Deadline.

Original story? Kinda like what they did with Smallville, Right? I wonder if they're gonna start out with how Smallville's Green Arrow started out. If this is true, I hope they have Justin Hartly as Green Arrow.

According to the article Mr. Hartly is not attacted to the new show.

It looks like the CW wants to go into a new direction, away from the teenage soaps and try to get a larger viewing audience.

It is about time that they faced it whatever they were trying was/is failing miserably.

The CW can kiss my ass. EVERYTHING on that network sucks. Including Supernatural's season 7.
