I really enjoyed the episode.
I am glad that they made progress in the hunt for the Nephilim and was concerned that Cas is not around to help. I think this is the first time we met Eileen (banshee girl). She was an excellent tracker and quite fearless. We saw her run toward the demon and then tell the boys the demon gave her a phone number before she stabbed him in the heart. They completely ignored any explanation of how she was able to overpower the demon.
Graduated-head-of-my-class Renny Rawlings was smug, but he died too soon. I was getting much enjoyment from people telling him they don’t care that he was head of his class.
The BMOL organization is more violent than I thought. They consider American hunters to be animals, but their organization’s code lacks humanity. They brainwashed a vulnerable child into doing whatever he was told. Mick had a horrible burden to bear and when he realized there was a better way to live, it ended too soon. I now know the BMOL is a group the Winchesters should have always avoided. (Dean was right and Mary and Sam were wrong.)
Usually, I would have confidence in the Winchesters against any foe, but Mr. Ketch is a formidable adversary. Perhaps Mary’s disgusting relationship with him will cause Ketch to make a mistake and give the boys a chance to defeat him. When Mary was in the room with Ketch, my TV froze. I am sure the freeze was caused by the shock of that scene. The Head Mistress must die!
Crowley is overconfident and Lucifer outsmarted him. The demons are more terrified of Lucifer than they are of Crowley. Their scene was amusing but I could not stop thinking about what Lucifer will do to Crowley when he gets free.
Cas’ voicemail was a hoot. “This is my voicemail. Make your voice a mail". (Misha is very silly, and I bet he enjoyed saying that.)
p.s. I fell asleep at 5 PM and watched the episode at 3 AM.

I was actually a little irritated when this one was over, and I will speak more to that later, but it is what really made me mad. Anti- We saw Eileen last year, in -Into the Mystic, she helped with a Banshee.
I did like the Sam/Eileen interactions, it was nice seeing them interact with another hunter and for that hunter not to die at the end, let's hope she doesn't die at all. I thought it was sweet the way she and Sam were acting and that he gave her some comfort when she made that mistake.
I thought Dean's reaction to Mick wanting vodka was hilarious, it is fun to see someone who can outdrink the Winchesters. That doesn't happen very much. I also like Mick in this one his realization that there was more to hunting other than following orders was interesting to see. Sometimes you need to look at a problem more than one way to see that there can be multiple ways to deal with it. However I was totally pissed when he was gone at the end, Not happy.
Dagon and Kelly was a little interesting, I did like the special effect when the demon appeared and disappeared, we don't typically see that, normally they just move the camera over and there they are. I do think Kelly realizes that she is not long for the world and she may be more open to having some help. I do think her not realizing that Dagon is a DEMON and therefore does bad things, is a little naïve, I mean she met a full gamut of otherworldly characters earlier.
I am done with Mary, I don't care what happens to her, but I think Ketch is a little smitten with her. I like Crowley, but can we be done with the whole Lucifer-Crowley power fight, it is dragging on too long. One week Crowley is smart, then he is stupid the next.
2 things really bothered me, Dean really needs to be involved with some of what is going on, he just fades into the woodwork these days, he is a main part of the show, how about giving him something to do? A couple of seasons ago, I felt the same way about Sam, he barely had anything to do and now he seems to be more out front.
I think I have said this before but I am over with the show's never ending cycle of killing off good characters, Kevin, Charlie, and now Mick, I hate that he was their one ally with the BMOL, and poof he is gone, I am tired of the BMOL storyline, and need to especially see Hess gone. I know SPN kills off people, but it is getting hard to care about what happens when they kill off people. I also believe they will kill off either Cas or Crowley at the end of the season. At least they realize Cas is missing now.

This episode was a train wreck of stories. What was the point of Mary and Ketch? Eileen made a short appearance, shot a BMOL and left. Cas is nowhere to be found. The BMOL is a nasty, awful, deeply disturbed organization. Crowley doesn't know Lucifer is making faces and faking subordination. Dagon and Kelly disagree over how to take care of Lucifer's offspring. See'ya, Mick Oh, and Dean and Sam got the Colt returned to them. Geez next week had better be better.....................

LOL, I was worried I was the only one that was that negative about the show, good to know I am not the only one. However I will try and back off a little on the negativity because I know it can affect one's viewing pleasure and I don't want to do that to anyone.

November and SoCal, your critiques/criticisms do not disturb me because you give valid appraisals. I do not like everything either. I have been watching so many shows that I have trouble keeping up with the posting.
November, I read your review right away and enjoyed it. Thanks for reminding me about Eileen. I am pretty sure she is on Ketch's hit list.
Hi SoCal. Made me laugh.

Don't worry about other people. You gave your opinion. And it DID suck. The show needs to end. Its been on too long and the quality has taken a nose dive. Plus, the boys are starting to look haggard.

Your opinion of the episode didn't affect my feelings toward it at all. We can always disagree about whether or not an individual episode appealed to us or not. I still love the show. I'm just disappointed that Dean and Sam are becoming "guest stars" in their own show and that some of the writers seem to have no idea how to write for this show. I still love 'ya! And Anti, too!

Aeryn- I liked Dark Willow, love that avatar. I haven't really liked most of S12, a few episodes here and there but not many. Anti/SoCal- Thanks for letting me know. , I just don't know what to make of this season, I want to like it, but either there is too little of J2 in it, or they do dumb stuff and I can't believe they did it. Crowley and Lucifer is a waste of time and talent for Mark S. Mark P. was terrifying as Lucifer in S5 and S7, but now is just a stereotypical villain. I go to other sites and read comments and sometimes I wonder if people hate the show that much why are they watching it, but as Aeryn said, it is their opinion as to how they feel about the show and it is their right to give it. I get that now, I didn't used to but I do now. This show was so different for me and had such potential and now I feel like the writers either don't care or they actually think they are doing a good job. J2 need time off, not just to be with the family but to have time to relax, but they don't get that, I think there are too many cons and other things, I think they need to scale back on what all they have, it is too much. They do look tired and sometimes I don't think they look interested in what they are doing, maybe they wish for better writing?

November, I agree with you. J2 are really nice guys and I think they do not want to disappoint the fans who have supported them for so many years. But they do need to take a break from doing so much. I have lost count of the number of annual cons there are and people keep requesting additional ones in their local areas.
It is awkward for the actors to complain about the writing or directing, but I bet it frustrates them. Thomas Gibson lost his job as star of Criminal Minds a year ago because of complaining and then getting in a confrontation because the writer made a gross error in the story line.
I am probably overly complacent about what is happening in the show. Biding my time until Cas returns.
