I gave this one a four because I think it was good even though I do not like scary movies. This monster-of-the-week episode reminded me of the ones that scared me during the first season. (True confession: half way through the episode, when Dean started up the steps holding The Colt, I turned the TV off and said I would watch it in the morning.) I was glad Dean had gotten over his mommy blues and was back to flirting with pretty waitresses and having a big appetite. He did not enjoy Sam’s breakfast selection. At first, I thought Ketch sent them on a job so that he could trap them and kill them. I kept waiting for him to show up, but he just wanted to make sure they were away from the bunker. Ketch does have a soft spot for Mary. Moloch is a yukky god. Pete used the Winchesters tag line and Dean’s expression said it all. Thank goodness, they carried The Colt with them. I admire how steady Sam’s aim was when he saw the god trying to kill his brother. I enjoyed the brother moment when they carved their initials into the table.

I am glad you liked it Anti, this was just ok for me. I did like Dean when he was flirting, though it seemed as if he was a little desperate when he was flirting, he can do better. I mean look at him, who wouldn't want that?
I liked that he was more in the episode, and I liked the brother moment at the end. I don't have anything bad to say about Sam, he was there too supporting and hunting with his brother. but overall I thought this was a dull boring episode, nothing going on the first half and it got slightly better in the second half.
I didn't like that Ketch and crew got into the Bunker, I can only hope that Sam and Dean have security we don't know about in place and will find out about Ketch being in the Bunker. I am still not over them killing Mick off, and I don' t care about the BMOL anymore, other than to see Dean kick Ketch's ass just because. There was one puzzling moment for me at the end, when Ketch was staring at Mary's photo, why was he looking like that?, is it because he put it all together and realized Mary was older than she looked?
Thank goodness Cas will be back next episode

I thought Ketch was looking at the picture like that because he was smitten with Mary. But she does look the same as she did in the photo, so he might be wondering about that.
Cas is back next episode. I hope you enjoy that one.

Anti, I think both of us could be correct, Ketch is clearly smitten with Mary, but maybe he didn't realize she was that old. The BMOL have files on the Winchesters, surely the files would have shown up that Mary was dead? Maybe it could lead to an interesting conversation between the 2 of them.
Yes, I will be happy to see Cas back, I have missed him, I just hope he seems a little happier when we see him, he has been so down and depressed this season, and I saw Kelvin in the promo, I can only hope he is not a bad guy.

Finally, a monster hunt. Although the goat man wasn't scary to me. It just looked silly.
At least the sheriff turned out to be the good brother. The other guy, who ran the plant where he sent his victims to the god, was a jerk.
Ketch seemed very confused by that picture of Mary with young Dean, although how would Ketch assume it's young Dean and Mary seems not to have aged a bit? The kid doesn't look anything like Dean. And I hate that the BMOL has invaded their space and planted bugs everywhere. I hope there's a way to find them out and remove all the bugs. I must say, that big one Ketch put under the main table the boys sit at seemed a bit amateurish. Wouldn't it be easy to find?
So no Mary this week and no angel.
I'm just glad the boys kept hold of the Colt.

What kind of God can be trapped in a meat packing facility?

The BMOL claim to know everything about the Winchesters' history, but they accepted Mary's presence as if it was normal. I think they would consider her a supernatural aberration. I hope they find the bugs quickly and they should change the locks.

Aeryn, That is a good question about the God in the meat packing place.
Maybe he has to stay in the cold? Maybe because there was so much meat there he was able to keep the Goat God there. As someone who worked at a place where there was a cold room and a room kept at -20, I can say it was creepy to be in those rooms for any length of time.

Also, those scenes with Dean creeping around pieces of meat, as he was being stalked by flashes of a furry head just KILLED me. The boys are starting to look old. Especially Jared. All those worry lines on his face distracted me.
