Is this the John Forsythe/Linda Evans/Joan Collins series? It is a reboot of that series. Some of the character names are the same, but are played by new actors.

Okay. "Dallas" used the same actors to play the same characters and added new ones.
I saw Linda Evans yesterday in a PBS program about Westerns. Now that I have time, I can watch it.

And I have seen it. When will I see another one? The question is why will I see another one. I'll keep recording but this gets saved until I delete.
John Forsythe, Linda Evans and Joan Collins were so much better. I seem to recall Sammi Jo (who is now Sammy Joe) was Heather Locklear but I don't remember her as a character. I didn't watch all that much.

This is actually turning out to be better than I expected. I now have time to watch and I ended up watching two.
I didn't think Blake's son had anything to do with the explosion so it was surprising that he got arrested.
If Fallon doesn't get to use her last name, she can always use her first. It's a good name if you like "The Tonight Show".
I suspected the robbery was related in some way to Cristal's secret identity. When she was trying on fake jewelry with dresses, I thought that was how she was going to solve her problem.
Blake is so much nicer than I expected. Which means you need to be suspicious. It is true. He was lying and just trying to make his son and daughter feel better.

Things just got a whole lot worse. Cristal's sex tape is all over the Internet and in the tabloid newspapers.
At least everyone tries to be nice to each other.
Fallon went to school with the Atlanta official who can help advance her career. But back then she didn't treat her right. And in the present day she doesn't either. And her business partner can't seem to fix things. Actually, he can ...
And now we know how much worse things can get if that phone isn't recovered. It had nothing to do with a sex tape.
Somehow Steve Harvey can fix things if given enough of an incentive. He will get in as much trouble as everyone else.

I can't remember. Have I seen an episode since I posted here?
Sammy had to get a job and Cristal threw some kind of liquid on Fallon and she couldn't continue to wear that dress.
And Fallon was by herself on the cover of the magazine.
Security threw out the murder victim's widow and they'll be keeping a lookout for her.
Yes, these things have happened since I posted here.

I had time for an hour-long episode. Two half-hour sitcoms generally take a lot longer than an hour to watch.
This was the only choice I had. Actually, "Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates" would work but there are no commercials so it would take longer to watch.
So Claudia is going to be all right. I'm sure Blake hitting her was an accident. She sure recovered fast, but her problems seem to be mental. AND she's pregnant.
Cristal's bright idea is to let her stay at the mansion. Anders hopes she's gone before he has to change diapers again. And of course Cristal is making sure she has the best of everything.
I suspected she was in the tub when Blake walked in. It's hard to tell whether he mental problems are responsible or she is scheming.
Fallon is trying harder with her business partner. And she was persuaded to be nice to anyone who could help them. Looks like that's working.
Meanwhile, Culhane is not getting back together with her, but I liked how she got even with her nemesis.
I like how Steven is working to make sure all is going well with the charities but I suspect something is up. Blake and Steven were nice to that little girl, and Blake is right to support a charity that gives people confidence instead of just a handout.

I saw another one. Once again, I had no other choice.
Claudia was faking! She was just scheming, not brain-damaged, and Thanksgiving was really exciting.
She even locked Anders and Sam in the basement.
I like how Fallon kept Culhane's secret. His parents are so proud of their executive son. So Fallon and Culhane both worked at a soup kitchen, but of course Fallon managed to be insensitive.

I had another opportunity.
The first of two Christmas episodes.
Steven seems to have made it possible for Stansfield or whatever the man who looks like Steve Harvey is called to get out of town and live well rather than be in Blake's pocket.
Fallon locked Culhane and her rival out on the roof naked.
The choir was really good at the tree-lighting ceremony.
Sammy tried to be helpful. He thought it was time to give a different gift to clients the same old thing. Steven got in the way and got the credit.
Cristal's other secret was revealed. Blake thought she was trying to get pregnant but now we know why she didn't. I can't believe she couldn't get medical attention without stealing money.

Some good music and some terrible music. I liked Dean Martin at the beginning.
If Krystle and Alexis fought in the pool, I guess this show's equivalent is Cristal and her sister knocking over the Christmas tree. And the poor staff had to come in and start cleaning up the mess.
Now that he needs Stansfield, Steven is starting to regret getting rid of him.
I didn't think Cristal could do anything to make Blake so upset that a divorce seemed likely.
Blake's father was Corky's father on "Life Goes On". That show is sort of like "The Good Doctor" except on that show the person with a problem is a genius. Corky tried really hard but had his limitations.

I saw Joan Collins on the "Roseanne" special. The other show was so much better.
Still, I saw one episode last week and forgot to comment here, and three more over the weekend, so I have caught up.
Fallon is so funny. She tortured the candidates interviewing to be her new assistant, and ended up hiring Sam. That may be a mistake, but he can do great stuff for her even if he lacks most of the skills an assistant needs.
Then after being kidnapped by her stepmom's family, she was more upset by what they did to her bangs than anything else. They almost killed her and Blake wouldn't give in to their demands!
That was amazing what they did to get rid of Cristal's sister's ex. I don't want to say what they did because it's so much better if you discover it on your own and someone who hasn't watched but wants to might be reading this.
I'm glad the Colbys got their dad out of prison.
Blake claims he did things because he had to, but what he did wasn't just something he did once. He's committed so many felonies he should be under the jail.
Steven is running for office and he's managing to do it without help from his family, though his family name should certainly help. He seems happy on his own.
The new police chief is no help.
I've seen so much I have no idea what I've left out.
I thought of one thing. Anders is such a good man. How can he participate in the evil deeds?

I forgot to post here last time.
So apparently Jeff has proposed to Fallon, but he's just trying to get into the family to get revenge. The meeting with his father did not go well. While there is some disagreement on the facts, we know he hates the Carringtons.
Steven handled himself really well with Ted's very religious father. I couldn't believe Ted didn't die in that fall, but Steven is keeping Sam out of trouble.
Blake continues to lie. He seems like such a good man, though, when he's not scheming.

What a wedding. And what a scheme.
I do feel bad about Blake's father.
Now how is Steven going to get out of his situation? If he doesn't, Sam gets deported.
How in the world did that episode get a plain vanilla TV-PG? At the very least, it need an L for language. Even if there wasn't much bad language, there was plenty of adult content. And the P-word was used twice.

Oh, yeah! Alexis has arrived at last. And we have been promised The CW's version of the cat fight in the pool.
So Blake's father is really dead. That was a nice church where they had the funeral. Still, why use a church if he was so bad his own grandson says he belongs with Diablo?
At least Blake found evidence his father loves him.
Fallon seems to be having trouble annulling her marriage. I wonder if she'll stay with him?
Steven is taking a risk by proposing to Sam. Anyone remember he's supposed to be with the man recovering in the hospital? That man's father is not going to be happy. Meanwhile, Steven went against what he stands for to prevent Sam from being deported.

I couldn't record this. I thought I did but I ended up with "Once Upon a Time" instead. I was told if I recorded one I couldn't record the other, but I thought I chose this show.
I thought about watching at the library but I remembered how much trouble I have with network shows. I do have fast enough Internet at home and I got to keep it without paying more. So I took advantage.
Meow!
It was the funniest episode all season! Alexis is great. And all that scheming that took place. She actually owns the house! Unless the will can be overturned. Fallon took care of that. The date of Blake's father's surgery was changed by a bribe. It happened when they said it did, but the claim is being made that it was done at another time.
And who would have believed where Alexis lived?
I liked how she called the dog Crystal.
And of course the obligatory cat fight in the pool. And the reactions from the family.

I felt bad for Culhane. His parents learned he was a chauffeur because Cristal didn't know. And his father is in the hospital.
Anders got fired! But of course Blake can't along without him so he was rehired, and he promised to be loyal. But Thomas hired him and he raised Blake. He had no reason not to be nice to Alexis.
It was so funny when Sam was the one who got drugged at the disaster of a party (because Anders wasn't there to run it, and the head of the kitchen had been fired too), but the plan worked anyway.
Maybe, just maybe, Alexis won't cause so much trouble. But Steven doesn't have a problem with her.

Things just keep getting worse.
At least Steven has met his brother. But Sam is suspicious since Steven is not in Washington.
I feel so bad for Culhane. And now Cristal can go public without being blackmailed, though she didn't get to keep her job. Blake was right about one thing, but the company should take responsibility.
Fallon got a promotion!
So now we know Anders has a daughter and an ex.
How sad that Fallon and Jeff couldn't go to prom together.
And Cristal took off her robe!

So funny, with so many things going on and no chance it would all be resolved without another season. On another site, it says there will be one.
But the ending was terrifying. Will Cristal even survive? Alexis was concerned enough to make sure she would be all right.
I don't want to see them sell the company. I'm still confused as to who "Adam" is.

And now Sam knows the bad news. I hope it doesn't affect their relationship. Did I say that?
Anders was really good in the episode. This family really needs him to hold things together. Unfortunately, his own family has problems he can't solve.
