Fallout
That was a satisfying opener for the second season. All of the main characters were accounted for including the ousted “president”.
The only thing I did not enjoy was Grace suffering from a guilty conscience and hallucinating Claire.
Selecting Darius to the position of Vice President was a bold move and one I expect to enjoy.
Harris Edwards is now Secretary of Defense and he has a lot of secrets to keep. I do trust him to make good decisions. He also has the onerous task of keeping Grace from messing up.
I expect there to be a lot of drama in Liam’s life. He will probably not see much of Jillian as she acts as assistant to Darius. The note she left on his pillow sounded almost like a break-up. Also, Liam has to work with his former mentor, Dr. Malcolm Croft.
There is a mystery to solve the reason someone tampered with the air supply of the shelter.
Lesson: Do not allow random people to enter a planned life-sustaining shelter. They will create problems.

One thing I didn't like about the opener. I didn't wait to watch it until the next week's episode. Or the next. I may start waiting to watch so I can see what happens next sooner.
Another thing I didn't like was because of all the time that had passed there were a lot of details I forgot. I wasn't sure whether Claire was really dead.
The comments made about making Darius Vice President reminded me of the reality of what this country did in the 2016 election.
The problems with the people in the shelter reminded me of "The 100", though that show is more like the Middle Ages.
As usual, we can rely on Grace to help make things happen or at least stop people from being angry with each other.

Two reasons I didn't watch last night.
If I'm already wearing my bifocals because I drove somewhere, I read newspapers when I get home. Of course, I could easily switch over to my bifocals if I was at home all day. But if I have a lot to watch on TV, and I still do, I don't usually do that. I thought I'd get a break during the summer.
The other reason I didn't watch is that I'm waiting so I can watch several at once and not have to deal with waiting for the next episode.

Détente - This reminded me of "Designated Survivor" because of the negotiations and hi-jacking of major government systems.
Liam is not in a trusting frame of mind and I do not blame him for staying away from Dr. Croft.
The man who died in the bunker was impersonating someone, but he could not have known he would wind up being herded to the bunker. They need to determine what his original goal was.
Grace was very helpful during Harris' negotiations with the foreign representatives. Her emotional response to Harris being shot showed clearly there was more than a working relationship between the two of them.
Dr. Rosetta Stendahl agreed to work with Darius to build the magnet.
I do not remember the name of the young woman who approached Liam. Of course I do not trust her or anyone we do not know.

Still haven't watched, but I needed to say a few things.
I forgot to post that last night's rerun of "The Simpsons", which I saw when it was first on, would have been of interest to fans of this show.
Also, I clicked on an ad for "Fox Now" that I was hoping would lead to a way to watch episodes of "Gotham" that I missed. So far, I've only found the ones that are free on the regular Fox web site. But I did make a discovery that Trump was going to announce his choice for Supreme Court tonight. I did hear something about this show coming on at a special time when I was watching TV, and I guess that's what that's about.

Crimes and Punishment - Although I am not a fan of the political action, I enjoyed the episode. Liam and the female scientist worked together to find a solution. I never trusted her and she is reporting directly to the hacker group.
Darius found a way to communicate with Liam, but Liam was interrupted before he could follow Darius' directions. Of course, Darius has no way of knowing what is happening within the group.
Grace handled her situation much better than I thought she would.
If they spend half of each episode on a civil war, I will fast forward through some of it.

Indivisible - I think the episode was extremely dramatic and everyone had serious issues. The wannabe President is murderous and put the hit on the Judge. Then he sent his hitman to finish the job. Who would have thought the persistent cop would be the hero? He recognized the hitman from a picture he had seen and followed him at the hospital.
Liam's relationships took a nosedive. His fiance dumped him and Darius gave him an ultimatum.
So...the Pentagon has protocols to shut down the internet. The timing was unfortunate though.
I hope Liam reunites with his friends. I do believe Re-Syst is trying to save the planet, but I do not like their methods.

I wondered what it would be like to finish the marathon and then have to wait however many more weeks for the next one. Well, it wasn't a problem. The ending of episode two was so unpleasant I didn't want to see another one. I watched "Penn & Teller" instead.
Liam didn't want to tell the truth but he finally had to in order to get anything done.
I'm glad they finally agreed on building the magnet. I was surprised Darius said it "will" work. Nothing is that certain.
Grace couldn't tell the truth. It would put the country in even more danger.

I did the right thing. Had I watched all three last week, it would have ended with a cliffhanger that really made me want to watch the rest right away. And that was possible this week.
"Scandal" also had tunnels but I'm pretty sure they were different tunnels.
Wow, that was close. They got the Internet back on just in time to prevent nuclear war.
I didn't think there was such a thing as "The Internet" but in this world it actually can be turned off. I wonder how much of the Internet was actually down.
Interesting that the Dark Web can still be accessed.
I had one thought about the video of the ruling. How can we be sure that wasn't fake? And would the other president even listen? Fortunately, his soldiers did. It sure was risky carrying it around on a phone.
I know there was more I wanted to say but I'm tired and can't remember details. I've been on the computer way too long and I have shows to watch tonight.

I agree with everything you said.
I watched the episode promptly, but got sidetracked and forgot to comment. Sometimes Grace was running while holding the phone in her hand and I kept thinking she was going to drop it.
I think the wannabe President will still be a problem unless they have a B-613 team like on "Scandal".

I'm going to do what I did two weeks ago. I got lucky not having a cliffhanger. But if there's one tonight, better to wait and watch both at once.
Forgot a couple of details. The judge said he was of sound body. Obviously not!
I know there's more, but I'm tired.

That was exciting and so much happened.
Bennett was imprisoned and Harris interrogated him. Later, Monroe Bennett inexplicably died in a locked room. When Darius used one of his inventions to detect anything unusual in Bennett’s demeanor prior to his death, the software revealed Darius was lying about his involvement in Rayburn’s death. That led to the truth being revealed. Although Grace said she could not live with the lies anymore and would reveal the truth, we saw her father turning himself in as the one who killed Rayburn.
Alonzo Carter gave Grace a decryption key he found at Claire’s apartment and asked her to have it decoded. Alonzo now accepts his sister was doing something illegal. The key revealed payments were made from Claire’s account for assassinations and that one was currently planned. Even though they were alerted to an assassination attempt, they were unable to stop anyone from being killed.
Elsewhere, the Re/Syst team ran into a problem with their proposal. They had half of the materials they needed and Liam proposed combining their sail with Darius’ rail. I anticipated that would not go well, and it did not. I was a wee bit surprised when Liam revolted against Re/Syst and faced a firing squad. Professor Croft was the first scientist to stand with Liam. I am happy to say they are still breathing.
Liam shared his Re/Syst code name with Alycia and it would be possible for her to retaliate against him by using his code name.

Darius has his office in the attic. It looks so rundown, but I have to wonder how old it really is. I saw a photo some years ago that showed The White House during the Truman administration when everything was removed, even the walls and floors. Now that would be old enough to be rundown if they didn't keep it looking good.
I had to be careful not to read the above. I watch that episode tonight.

Do not read until you watch.
I enjoyed this exciting episode. There were some things I never anticipated happening: Darius Tanz is POTUS. Fueled by his anger at Alycia, Re/Syst and Liam, Darius schemed to use a test run of the collider to destroy the nukes. Liam detected the plan and told Re/Syst. Liam’s attempts to negotiate peace between Re/Syst and POTUS did not go the way he planned.
Liam was arrested for treason.
Alonso and Grace shared a passionate encounter. Their alliance has been volatile and exciting, but the suddenness of the encounter was baffling. Later, Alonso recognized the photo of the confessed killer as Grace’s father. He confronted her with a threat to kill the man and she admitted she killed Claire. Alonso’s reaction with the gun was exciting.
Fiona, Harris’ lover, is a spy and betrayed everyone. When Harris had Fiona interrogated, I smirked when he told the man to not give her an anesthetic.
Grace declined to be Darius’ Chief of Staff. Grace tried to reason with Darius regarding his plan for the nukes and the discussion became volatile.
Harris threated to quit as Secretary of Defense. Darius and Harris argued about the plan to hit the nukes and POTUS Tanz was not receptive.
Liam’s ex, Jillian, also quit. She has a new friend and he introduced her to what I call the “Acceptance” society. She has embraced them, but I have no idea what role they will play.
I know Tanz was right about Alycia being a liar. She agrees about using the nukes as leverage. I am surprised Liam continues to be her friend as well as her ally.
POTUS has sneaked out of the White House. What is he planning now?

I couldn't believe Liam got arrested. That's going to set back the project.
Darius as president? Couldn't be any worse than what we have in real life. Except they're in a real crisis.
I don't like Jillian joining up with those weirdos.
I didn't care for Alonzo being with Grace in that way. Too many shows do that. But now he'll kill her if he ever finds out the truth.
Interesting that the dispute over nuclear weapons was on the anniversary of one of only two times they have been used.
