After Michael erases their memories, Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani and Jason find themselves in the Good Place again, but Eleanor finds a clue she left for herself and tries to put everything together.

Remind me again why their memories were erase for? Michael (Ted Danson) tricked them because they were actually in the bad place the whole season. He thought it was a great idea to tell them they were in the good place and let them torture each other. When Eleanor guessed the truth, he erased their memories. |

I thought they were going to spend this season focused on Eleanor trying to learn the truth about the note, but she figured it out in the first episode. Why did Jianyu give Eleanor a gear?
Early in the episode, Michael said one of their mistakes was they were made soulmates. But, this time, they were given soulmates who are part of the ruse.
I am surprised Chidi and the others belonged in the bad place, but they do not really think they are bad.
Now that they have no clue that they are in the bad place, it should be fun to see what happens.

True, Michael's plan is an abject failure but his boss, Shawn, threatened to do something horrible to him if he fails.
I do not think it was necessary to spend so much time describing the 100+ failures. That took almost the entire episode.
When Eleanor and Chidi showed up at Mindy's cabin, I started to see some humor and a scene I never thought we would see.
My guess is that Michael and the four victims will team up against Vicky.
I think a flaw in Eleanor's logic is that she should know that what is happening to her in the Bad Place is better than what will happen to her in the traditional Bad Place. Therefore, they should pretend they know nothing.

I thought they spent entirely too much time on the failures. What concerned me the most is that it seemed like they were never going to decide what they were going to do. They just kept starting over. Looking back, it was interesting to see all the different versions of what happened. When Eleanor and Chidi visited that house, the woman there remembered everything and that made things interesting.

Last week, most of the episode was devoted to showing the 800 times Michael failed. This week, most of the episode focused on the four struggling with the decision to go along with Michael’s plan.
The episode was okay, but I did not get any laughs. I know the main reason I do not enjoy the show as much as I thought I would is because I do not enjoy Eleanor, and she gets more screen time than Michael.
I enjoy seeing Chidi, Jianyu and Michael. At last, I understand why Tahani is in the Bad Place. I had always wondered about that. But, her sister was as selfish as Tahani. I guess she will go to the Bad Place also.

I'm just glad the numerous attempts to start over have stopped. I want some stability.
I like Eleanor and wished she would just trust Michael. But I get why she can't. I would like to see the team finally go along with whatever Michael plans and for Eleanor to be able to improve herself and go to the Good Place. Jianyu is so funny because he's so dumb. Janet is also funny. I do notice she's getting more "human" and has admitted she is evolving.
I meant to say this last week. Why does Michael have a picture of Axl from "The Middle" on his wall? Or if it's not him it sure looks like him.
