I like Mary and enjoyed seeing different aspects of her personality and how she thinks and handled grief. I have to agree with Sheldon that Mary is the perfect mother for him. When others are impatient and irritated with Sheldon, her instinct is to protect him. She does not always give in to his demands but Sheldon knows she loves him. Their conversation while sitting on the bench was sweet.
Their pastor is so patient and upbeat, sometimes I laugh and sometimes I shake my head. I cannot stop myself from laughing when the pastor’s assistant is hacking and coughing while still trying to smoke. That was ridiculously funny.
Most of the time, I do not think Meemaw’s antics are funny, and tonight was no exception.

I love where last night's show ended considering where it was taken to in the middle due to Sheldon's mom. What made her think that her answers would be found in a bar? Another character on the show who I think is in serious need of an attitude adjustment is MeMaw (I guess the fruit didn't go falling far from the tree.). Yeah, Sheldon's timing may have been off where asking about a trip to Radio Shack was concerned, but would she have rather him ask his mother after she had just gotten that bad new bomb dropped on her? I am rather surprised that he didn't considering the fact that all MeMaw was doing then was using Sheldon as a hot potato against his father who was also not being that much help.
God bless you always!!!

^^^I agree with what you said about both Mary and MeMaw. I was amazed that Mary went to a pub but I was not surprised MeMaw was okay with it.
I like the way Mary's crisis of faith was resolved. I also liked the pastor coming up with an explanation for Sheldon about God and the animals.
Another thing I liked was George Sr. had the wisdom to let Mary work it out for herself. In my experience, men usually try to solve their wives' problems and that would have backfired.
As usual, George Jr. was a delight.
The funniest scene was when Mary assured Sheldon she prayed for Missy first, and the camera panned to Missy. I don't know how Missy managed to contort her body that way, but I laughed for a long time.

^^^ I love George Jr.'s voice. God bless you and him always!!! Holly P.S. The scene that Mrs. Cooper has with the preacher I think was one of the best. To me, he gave her good advice on how to handle grief: Just keep yourself busy with what is still in your picture.

^^^ I've seen the commercial. Mr. C. is just like his old lady. Every time that I hear them say "Be cool!" I am like, "Don't go preaching if you can't practice!"
God bless you always!!!

Tonight's show was so good. I love what Sheldon had to say to his dad at the end.
God bless you always!!!
Holly
P.S. If MeMaw ever did pay back the $300 dollars that Mr. Cooper was nice enough to give her, I don't know why such a big deal was made. Of course the whole mess got started with MeMaw getting drunk while out with George Jr. I most definitely do not blame Mrs. Cooper for getting all worked up over that.

I haven't watched most of them but I did see the little girl who was as smart as Sheldon. That couldn't have been easy for him. But she was cute and I liked her. Some of you may have seen her as Emma on "OUAT" and others may have seen her as Penny on "Designated Survivor". I didn't know her name until the credits.

^^^ That girl in my opinion gloated too much which is something that we have never seen Sheldon do. I've seen every episode after buying the first season on DVD and Sheldon has never once done a song and dance like that girl doesn't hesitate to put out there.
God bless you always!!!

The "Big Bang" episode showed older Sheldon held a 20-year grudge against Tam. Immediately following that episode, Sheldon's friendship with Tam was highlighted during the sleepover. It would have flowed perfectly if "Young Sheldon" came on first and then that episode of "Big Bang".
I knew MeMaw was going to snitch on George Sr. It would have served her right if Mary made the guys stay with her for a week. MeMaw would have been miserable.
Sheldon loves to work on income taxes. That is so funny to me especially when he was enthusiastic about researching all of those rules.

God bless you always!!!

Last night's show was good. I will admit that I felt bad for Missy when she said that she is pretty much on her own. To me, both the parents need to do better on making sure that all three kids are getting the same amount of attention.
God bless you always!!!

^^^ I agree that Missy should feel included, even though she is mean sometimes. She is intelligent in a different way than Sheldon. It seemed to me that Mary wanted Sheldon to shine in every way and was upset that Missy outshone him in creative thinking.

Last night's episode, Seven Deadly Sins and a Small Carl Sagan, was good. Mary let the drama coach take over her project even though she did not agree with what he was doing. I was sure she would rip him apart, but she went home and made a salty tuna casserole instead. That did surprise me.
The haunted heck house looked impressive and I wonder if anyone actually creates Halloween displays about sin. I laughed at the lustful man's reaction when he heard the word "syphilis ".
Poor Georgie almost got what he wanted and I think it was so funny the way things turned out. Not the part about him becoming a devout athiest, of course.
Sheldon's "Carl Sagan" recognition moment was a nice ending to the episode.

P.S. Any respect that I had for the preacher went right out the window when I saw how he was dressed up for the night.

jamesottosweethart Holly, I really do not understand why the preacher was dressed that way. Isn't he married? That made no sense at all. I did not think it was funny.

^^^ He is supposed to be married to a girl from another country. She was shown during a season one episode. It may be the one when he asks Mrs. Cooper to work at the church. Anyway, yeah I didn't think the preacher was someone to laugh at either. He of all people should know that it is against the Lord's word to go dressing to look like the opposite gender.
God bless you always!!!

"Carbon Dating and a Stuffed Raccoon" was fun to watch. My favorite parts were in the museum. Paige encouraged Sheldon to leave the lecture and wander around the museum with her. It was very funny later when Sheldon imagined his family members looked like the people in the exhibit.
George Sr. was trying to enjoy a football game, but Paige's parents kept interrupting him to cry about the troubles in their marriage.
I do not enjoy flea markets or yard sales because you are expected to haggle, so that part was not funny to me.

That is a perfect role for Sheldon. Tam's family is too uptight. Okay, the girls were laughing at Sheldon's misery. The references to what Sheldon couldn't do were so funny. Like on "The Good Doctor". In the other episode I saw, George Sr. didn't think George jr. was responsible enough to drive, but apparently he was. Now being with Meemaw at that place was a problem ...

I wouldn't be surprised if she had reformed, but she's still the same way, so I'm not sure what good it does her. I feel so sorry for the pastor but Octopus Jesus sounds right. A big story on the news just now was a teen dying in an accident. They don't know yet if he was speeding. The conversation between Sheldon and his mom was great. Imagine Sheldon being the one to convince her.

I saw last night's show and my most favorite part was seeing that wink come from George Jr. when him and Mr. Cooper were at the body shop. God bless you and Montana (George Jr.) always!!! Holly P.S. I don't blame him for picking his new job over football practice by the way. If he isn't going to be given a fair share of playing time, what's the point in remaining in such a picture?

It seemed to me that Mary wanted Sheldon to shine in every way and was upset that Missy outshone him in creative thinking. And I'm sure Sheldon was too. I never suspected Missy would be intelligent in any way, but what I remember about her on the other show was Sheldon's impression, which naturally would assume she was an airhead. And she was quite good when the test showed what she could do. And of course George only cared about the money.
