The Oscars ran over. I would have been close to midnight if I watched it all. So all I know is Lea went to sleep during her massage and the one couple in the hospital finished what they did and have to wait for ... this was embarrassing.
The other couple is back together and the woman is still having serious problems. On "Good Sam" a woman threw up blood and the cause was a fungus infection there too. Actually, on that show she was drunk. It took the doctors a while to figure out the cause.
The Jewish doctor was accused of not being compassionate. But then he explained his situation and I suppose that helped.
The Black doctor didn't object to premarital sex, which surprised me.
Glassman keeps getting complaints because Andrews isn't making himself available.
With the corporation that woman would have never gotten treatment and would have been sent to a worse hospital. I had a similar situation but no one bothered to make sure I wasn't paying, even though I was told in the emergency room that without insurance I wouldn't have to. My cousin did make arrangement but I still got contacted by a collection agency. Had I known all this would happen I would have made sure of everything myself while I was still in the hospital. I went back to the hospital and made the necessary arrangements.

Shaun was funny this week when Lea and the Black doctor worked together at his apartment. He really is trying.
Glassman is still called on to be a surgeon at times.
I forgot to come here after seeing the rest of last week's episode and don't even remember what I missed.
Reznick was like this once but I find it disturbing that on "Good Sam" the residents are competitive and get excited about certain surgeries. These are people and they are sick or hurting or might die!

Actually, it was like a funny episode of "This Is Us", but there was a lot to laugh at this week.
Shaun had to change his attitude but he's learning. Glassman wasn't going to move fast but there were only a few doctors and lots of patients, including the doctors and nurses who ate you-know-what.
See the Weird Dream Thread.

Once again, the "Good Sam" cast get competitive. Shaun said talking about irrelevant topics in surgery annoys him. Well, what about residents getting in an argument because one sabotaged his chances at getting to do a surgery? Sam told them either beha0e or get out. Also, the hospital on that show nearly got sold and the new owner just wanted to give some important person's son the big job, the one Sam and her father have been competing for. And cost-cutting would include dropping residents.
Andrews redeemed himself. I thought he'd end up being foster father to the kid. But everything he did was so nice.
I find it hard to believe Glassman would be a jerk to women. But then he is a cranky old man. Also, it made perfect sense to me for him to suggest making the product even better.
I forgot Lea was so good with cars. It's hard to believe anyone today would still be in an iron lung. But once again, Shaun saves the day.
The whole world doesn't need to know about Lea and Shaun in bed. But now apparently the world WILL know other details of their life.

Another episode of "Good Sam" was quite shocking. The cast of this show has never been this bad. One resident had already started looking for another job when he thought the hospital would be sold. Oh, wait, that happened here too. But after the sale was stopped, the resident is still moving forward with applying in Boston (the show is set in Detroit). Another resident got mad and didn't show up for work. Another is still mad at his boyfriend the paramedic who cheated and when he spent time in the E.R., he caused trouble when he confronted the E.R. doctor who the boyfriend cheated with and was told to get out of the E.R., and Sam was almost left without anyone to assist with a fascinating experimental surgery. Her father came up with the technique and isn't getting credit in the medical journal. What a mess.

I wasn't aware this was a five-year residency program. I was thinking that on "Saving Hope" they had three years.
Shaun being followed by cameras bothered him, but at least that helped him find where he made a mistake. What if he had made the mistake and didn't have footage?
They finally agreed the surgery itself wasn't essential to the story. And Shaun got over the idea that his mistakes made him look bad in the documentary.
Lea was cute, but when did she do any work?
Dr. Park tried but it came down to either saving the man's life or letting him continue his career. He brought in Lim because it was the only way, but even that didn't work.
And both fifth-year residents were tested on doing a surgery all on their own.

Shaun did his best. But he didn't have to wear that suit, because both he and Lea decided not to go through with it.
I liked Lea's dress but not the veil. Actually, I didn't like the dress. I like what the dress showed.
Lim did a great thing for Villanueva. And they made sure we noticed that domestic violence was a topic of the episode.
That was a complicated surgery and Claire almost had to face the fact she couldn't help the boy. Claire was back!

What a finale! But they ended it terribly. I know we were warned, but we want Lim to come back. There are also doubts about Reznick as she was accepted at a hospital across the country. Being in San Jose just reminds her she wanted to be a surgeon and can't. And I don't want her to go.
Such a beautiful photo of Lea! She should just keep that one in the frame.
Amazing how they put that wedding together but it really bothers me the way they showed all the fun still going on while two people were dying below.
How nice of everyone to participate in that Jewish ceremony.

That was a difficult episode. I thought Lim might not make it. They still have to figure out how to deal with her latest challenge and hopefully that will be temporary.
It was great that Lea could help.
I was glad Shaun made the decision he did but Glassman wasn't happy about it. Lim should have gotten the priority over the shooter but things worked out.
It looks like next week things go back to normal and we have new residents.

Well, not quite normal. Lim is paralyzed and I'm hoping that's just temporary. But it was entertaining watching her overcome her difficulties and everyone supporting her efforts. But she's not doing as well as she gave us the impression she was. Her frustration is bad enough but what if it is permanent?
Lea was wrong. Shaun didn't need to fire the resident who wouldn't participate in the killing of an animal. The resident is lucky he asked Lim.
But bringing in a live pig was a bad thing. No one wants to actually kill the pig and they got lucky at the end.
The new female resident has a good bedside manner which Shaun does not. I liked the other new resident eventually.

Lim is angry with Shaun and letting him know it. I shouldn't have watched a commercial.
Freddie Highmore is interrogating Leonardo da Vinci in a murder case on a CW series (he thinks Leonardo did it). I didn't know that. I can't imagine such a thing.

One of the patients was missing and someone was told to search the west wing. I assume Glassman is there.
I forgot to come here last week but it's hard to comment without anyone else commenting.

Shaun has his own office. He can't do his work sharing with Park but Andrews says it's not in the budget. So Shaun finds a supply closet.
Lim doesn't seem to be as bitter and she has a new man. Still, Shaun won't go to her with any problems. And when Glassman tries to help Shun says he has to leave his office. Shaun still acts like a child at times but he can still come up with the miracle solution.
And he bangs on Glassman's door in the middle of the night. I just know his solution to Lim's problem won't be a simple one to accomplish and I'll bet Lim will be worried it'll make things worse.

I like most of the characters. The issue I have is the show strayed far away from what fascinated me. Also, I am not interested in people’s intimate relationships.
I enjoy reading your reviews. If they move away from the love angle, I would tune in again.

I don't care for the characters having relationships with each other, but Shaun and Lea are committed so we have that as an integral part of the show.
The new male resident admitted to being an addict.
I didn't notice the new female resident having a limp but now we know she has an artificial leg.
Lim managed to get talked out of surgery that would reverse her paralysis. She hates being in that chair so much, and now someone suggests she doesn't really want to cure it? The other doctors were shooting down Shaun's ideas and it was frustrating. But that was a nice scene when Glassman finally acted like a father again. Someone said to him he WAS Shaun's father, which given Shaun's history is probably as true as it can be.

Shaun was getting bossy with that new resident but then his patient insists on her. The patient wants her to question his decisions, which will guarantee he gets the best care. So Shaun must learn how to get along with her, which means finding things they have in common.
It's hard to believe Lea had so many problems making the computers work but she found a solution to the hospital's problem getting enough electricity.
When is Lim finally going to have the surgery?
I was relieved the lawyer was just grateful they found his relative.

I was amazed they saved all the babies. That one had no hope and somehow they did it.
I feel bad for Lea but I don't think they should have kids.

I knew it wouldn't end well when Shaun started evaluating his residents. It's always what's best for the patient.
I thought it was good that Lea was pregnant but they're making it sound like it's bad. This is why Dobbs was a bad decision.

So where was the Afghanistan vet with an artificial leg? Everyone was so supportive of Shaun and Lea. Glassman smiled when he said Shaun saved her life. Even Lim!
If they were going to drop a cast member I wish it had been the man who was passed out. And they have a good reason because he was using again. They didn't do much with that and he came up with plenty of ideas. I'm just sick of all the romantic stuff.
At least Lim isn't in a romance with another doctor and I'm somewhat happy with her man.
I was relieved they came up with a way to save the other patient's life.

Groundhog Day on "Quantum Leap" so that was not to be missed. Only he would die if he ran out of people so it wasn't an infinite number of returns. Fortunately, he got out of his jam with the last one.
Leaving me just enough time to see Lea and Shaun rescue the dog, come up with a plan to keep it from having to be euthanized because it would not be adoptable except by the most patient person, and call Dr. Glassman for help--including financial. Also, the teen was asked to decide whether his father's arm should be amputated. Dr. Park said no, he would try to save it. And Lim came to the Afghanistan vet's apartment to find her trying to get a bullet out of the leg of another vet who was on parole and couldn't risk going to the hospital, which would cause him to go back to prison. At this point, that's the only option.

I was glad they got rid of the vet. Shaun wanted to earlier. So now there is only one first year resident and he's on thin ice. And two third years. Well, that's the plan, I guess.
It was so disappointing when they found the dog's owner, but I think a dog would be too much for Shaun and Lea. A kid is too much for them.
I was so glad they saved the man's arm but the boy was upset that he nearly made the wrong decision.
Glassman made some really nice comments.
Lea and Glassman seeing each other naked next week looks interesting.

Not as funny as I was hoping but there were further comments.
I wish the other first-year resident would go as well. And they came close to having him leave this week.
Lim wouldn't listen to advice but she finally admitted the other resident was right. What they needed was for Shaun to be on that case.
It's terrible what happened to Glassman's house. Don't know what difference smoke detectors would have made since no one was there.

Those were nice scenes at Glassman's house despite what he was going through.
Reznick is finding being a charge to be a challenge. At least they figured out the man wasn't cheating to be in a study.
I'm glad Lim's determination worked. You never know with this show. My cousin had a double lung transplant but something went wrong and she didn't make it. I had met her once many years earlier and her father and I met for me to give him some papers and he told me about her plans and about the web site with her progress reports. I met with her father last week because he had been wanting to spend time with me. It's easier now that he's retired.

Cable went out. I'll wait for the rerun.
The TiVo should have saved 30 minutes, and certainly that should be true of the station that is on every single time I turn on the TV. But I found out what happened too late and lost approximately 20 minutes from the time the cable went out until I started recording with the antenna. I used to record all the ABC shows just in case. Maybe I should do that again.

I had forgotten Shaun and the resident who was fired got along so well. I thought he was kind of a jerk. I'm glad to see he's coming back, but why does he have to be a first-year resident? What was his residency when he left? I get that they have an opening for a first-year resident but he shouldn't have to go that far back.
I knew the problem with a minivan was that Lea loved that Gran Torino. But they found a good solution.
Reznick is having such a hard time. She can't get pregnant and yet one of her patients keeps having miscarriages or other problems. And this episode was yet another case of a woman sacrificing herself for a baby. The pro-life people shouldn't listen to them. The mother's life should always be the priority.

Sued for malpractice!
I am going back to recording ABC shows with an antenna after what happened two weeks ago. And now that I have a TiVo that's not full that works, I can do that.
