I enjoyed this real life Supernatural episode. Dean was playful and even looked young again. He seemed optimistic about the way the plan was proceeding. When they were going through the stack of books, Dean zoned out after a while. I had to laugh because that would happen to me too when I had to read stuff that did not hold my focus.
I thought the guys were a little hasty in releasing someone who was 100 years old. After all, something had kept her alive all of that time. But, I guess cute blondes get a pass. That monster was awful and it killed that nice young man who had a crush on the server.
Ketch took quite a beating from Asmodeus, but he is a tough man. I like his idea of payback and it gave the Winchesters the final ingredient for the spell to open the riff. Gabriel was terrified and pitiful. I did not hear him say anything after Sam removed the stitches. I was glad he did not snatch the angel blade and kill himself.
Sam looked quite adorable when he pouted about being left behind. I hope he can nurse Gabriel back to health.

It was ok, I thought the fight scenes were done well, I know they switched fight coordinators and I have noticed the action is better.
I thought the monster was a little lame, and I know it won't be a popular thought, but I actually liked the stuff with Ketch better than the monster stuff. I do wonder if Ketch will come back from the AU, not sure how that will be for Dean. I am happy that Ketch took Gabriel from Asmodeus.
I don't care for Asmo and he needs to go already, but I would like to see more about Gabriel, he must have been really worked over to be that scared and terrified all the time. I did like seeing Sam take care of him, and am looking forward to next week's episode, it looks like we could get some answers to much needed questions.

Pretty good episode, but I agree with Nov that the monster was a little lame. Never did get why the MOL in 1920 wanted it released and them captured since it was safe in another realm.
Glad to see Gabriel safe in the bunker. How did Ketch get in?
I'm a little nervous that Dean took Ketch with him. what will Sam do with Gabriel?

Glad to see Gabriel safe in the bunker. How did Ketch get in? I'm a little nervous that Dean took Ketch with him. what will Sam do with Gabriel? You summed it up pretty good; I just have a few comments to add. I thought the explanation given was that one of the MoL lost his mind and thought the world needed to be cleansed. He released "the thing" because it was supposed to get rid of the bad and create a paradise here on earth. By the time they realized that was not the case, all they could do was trap it. They hoped they could starve it to death. Obviously, that was taking a long time. Didn't the MoL get inside the bunker previously and booby trap it? Ketch broke Gabriel out of his prison and escaped. He could probably break into Fort Knox if he wanted to. Am I the only one who trusts Ketch? I do not expect him to betray Dean and I am sure he wants to rescue Mary. I hope Sam prays to Castiel and Castiel instantly heals Gabriel. I did not expect the monster to look like much because it was based on that old movie "The Thing".
