Josh, a bright-eyed, young New York defense lawyer, relocates to the small town of East Peck, S.C., where he and the local oddballs that make up his team of investigators take on delightfully absurd murder cases from their makeshift law office in the back of the town's taxidermy shop. As each eccentric case takes unexpected twists and turns, Josh's optimism never falters. In fact, even though life in this small town can be a little... unique (and more than a little strange), he's beginning to find the people of East Peck downright lovable -- and he just might feel like he's starting to fit in.
First episode date: March 14, 2017
I watched "Trial & Error", a comedy starring John Lithgow. The show is described in KyleEl 's link above. I also watched "Grimm" and "Sleepy Hollow".

It's interesting that I watched the episode of "The Real O'Neals" where Pat tried to build himself a tiny house on the same day I watched the episode of "The Great Indoors" where Jack moved in with Clark. How small was the apartment? Jack handed Clark a coffee mug that he said was bigger than the apartment. I was tempted to put some of the jokes on the Short Jokes thread but it wouldn't really work. Besides, I don't remember them now.
"Trial & Error" is hilarious. Dwayne is such an idiot.

"Trial & Error" is hilarious. Dwayne is such an idiot. I agree. I laugh at every episode. Dwayne certainly is an idiot and Larry is a close second. The last episode with the dog psychic had me in stitches. I keep thinking Ann (multiple issues) should be funny, but it never makes me laugh.

I am watching Trial & Error and it is hilarious. I keep forgetting to mention that Larry's sister-in-law makes me keel over with laughter. She does not say much, but seeing her drinking booze, which is contradictory to what her husband says about her, is too funny.

I have some trouble recognizing people I don't know. But it's not quite as bad as her problem, since she can't remember what a person looks like five minutes later.

We don't have a "Trial & Error" thread but I thought the woman in charge of courthouse records looked familiar. I looked at the credits at the end and she replaced Mrs. Garrett on "Diff'rent Strokes" when Mrs. Garrett went to the private school.

The latest two episodes continue to be hilarious and I truly enjoy the humor. Have you watched them yet - "The Case Gets Bigger" and "A Change in Defense"? There are only four more episodes after those two. Some funny stuff included: T-shirts printed with Larry Henderson's picture and the word "Murderer" Broken window Roger Bentman on the roof Josh's boss showing up Forehead graffiti

Also the man who can't speak clearly. I can't remember where else that joke was used.

When I first saw advertising for Freeform TV shows, I had to research it because I did not know what it was. I did watch something on the network, but I do not remember what it was.
I watched two more episodes of "Trial & Error". Funny stuff included Alfonso and a glass door; bleeped testimony during the trial; a Simpson football jersey; and a cell phone. A special edition of the show airs tomorrow (Thursday).
I watched the three NCIS series and Blackish.

Repeating the bleeped testimony once was funny; after that, it was redundant. I have been meaning to ask you if we are to assume the media is following them everywhere with the cameras always recording.

As I said on the Big Bang Theory thread, I missed the start of the Thursday episode. I may just go ahead and find it when I go to the library Thursday. Or I could try at home. I can do that now! Oh well, I thought we could chat about the finale episodes, but you will not be caught up. I will watch them tonight. No, I went ahead and watched what I could. I can watch tonight. decoy.tvpassport.com/news/whats-verdict-trial-error-wraps-hilarious-first-season-0?subid=national-00001It was easier just to post than to save these links for Friday, but this is all I'm doing here today, in order to save time.

I watched Trial & Error when it aired. The courtroom scenes were funny, particularly when they read the verdict. The foreperson could not read the verdict because she forgot her eyeglasses, but the statement was brief enough to memorize. Larry's reaction was unexpected but very funny. I like the way the case was finally resolved and I like the ending too.

I like the way the case was finally resolved and I like the ending too. I saw both episodes Tuesday, and I saw the rest of the Thursday episode yesterday, in two installments. I have to get to the nursing home in time for Bingo, and although the woman didn't go to Bingo, her daughter was there anyway. It's her granddaughter who comes for Bingo. But if no one else is there, there's not really anyone to visit. I ran out of time on the computer as a result, since I knew if I extended my time I'd be late. Larry was getting ready to explain why he still had his wife's phone. The phone was significant in solving the murder, as we found out later, and I wouldn't have known this if I had seen the entire episode last week. I find it quite disturbing that Dwayne is a cop again but what he did as a cop was really funny. I should remember there is another case for next season, provided this gets renewed. I liked the outcome. I wanted Larry to be innocent but it was fine that they got him out eventually. The man who coached Larry before his testimony was John Lithgow's co-star on "3rd Rock from the Sun". He was a Dwayne-type character. But he was the only one with the ability to communicate with the home planet.

The woman on "Trial & Error" who couldn't remember faces is now the annoying neighbor on "Man with a Plan" as well as the building inspector who makes Adam's life miserable because she follows the rules. Her husband who is afraid to disobey her but secretly lets Adam know he would like to is the guidance counselor from "The Goldbergs".

Season 2"Kristin Chenoweth is joining the sophomore season of “Trial & Error” at NBC. Chenoweth will play suspected killer Lavinia Peck-Foster, who is described as the first lady of East Peck who is a larger-than-life grand dame — at least in her own mind. She is an eccentric heiress known for her flamboyant outfits, large hats and hairless cat, Fluffy, who has not left the confines of Peck Gardens in ages. Lavinia calls on Josh Segal and Associates — the team that got off Owl Murderer Larry Henderson (John Lithgow) — to defend her after she was found with her husband, Edgar, stuffed into a suitcase in the back of her car." The Suitcase was very funny and reminded me of why I enjoy this show so much. My first big laugh was when they showed the cover jacket of Larry's book had the same idiotic title that O. J. used for his book.
Lady drivers have someone walking ahead of their cars while waving a red flag to warn other drivers and I saw that as hilarious.
Judge Kamiltow speaks a language only Peckers understand.

To add to all the problems I have had, this show didn't record!
What moron decided to give the second season a different title? All you need is to call it "Trial & Error"!!!!

What did they do to the title that caused it to not record? I noticed on the title card, it added "Lady, Killer" but it is not listed that way in my DVR.

The Timeline - Josh tried diligently to poke holes in the timeline of the murder to show Lavinia could not have done it.
The courtroom scenes made me laugh a lot. When Lavinia entered the courtroom, she said "All rise!" and everyone including the judge rose. Then she told them to be seated and the judge sat down. She gave everyone a scarf as a souvenir gift.
Bail was set at $10 and when Lavinia said she did not have any money, the judge smiled at her and pulled the $10 from his wallet.
Carol Ann used fake symptons of her pregnancy to disrupt all of Josh's objections and the judge just smiled indulgently.
The funniest scene for me was Lavinia's reaction to the request to talk with Chet's murderer. She threw a tantrum.

Josh frequently makes me laugh, but Dwayne is downright hilarious. Every time I think about Dwayne approaching the misfit's shack to get the murder clock, I start to laugh. He was so confident because he was wearing his officer uniform, but when shots were fired, he raced to the patrol car. He did not even try to help the camera person.
The business cards were funny, especially when Josh agreed the "Ass's" designation was appropriate for his staff.
I liked the quips about Ebay and PayPal.*
Carol Anne is funnier than I remember in the prior season.
Last season, Defendant Larry Henderson was excellent, and I think Lavinia is also.
I am enjoying the series very much.
*Recently, PayPal wrote a letter to a woman and stated she was in default because she was dead.

It recorded, and the title of what recorded is actually the basic title. I don't know why they would show it as different in the listings and also mess up the season pass.
Anyway, I have two weeks to watch online since there is football next week (the networks all seem to give us five free ones, and Thursday the 9th will be the date that episode five airs, I assume). All my online TV watching has to be devoted to "Gotham" and of course the "Nashville" finale.
