Even though you told me about it just before August 8th, the actual date, I finally chewed through the restraining straps to get this message out. Happy 739th birthday. You don't look a day over thirteen.

You made me laugh from the very beginning at the WB. I wanted to be as funny and outrageous as you were, but that was impossible. No one but you could be AerynRocks1, and through some miracle of alchemy, you are still with us. And that's worth celebrating every day.

I love you my friend, and I thank heavily tattooed pierced men singing angry songs for happy people for giving you strength and keeping you sharp, not flat.

We've had a chance to talk together a few times on the phone and I treasure that. I hope we get to again. And now I open this up to not only you but anyone who has stories to tell about the legendary AerynRocks1.

Hi Aeryn,

Happy belated birthday to you.

Where to begin my memories of Aeryn? I guess it's best I start back at the beginning. I was a newbie on the WB message boards and even though she didn't exactly give me a warm fuzzy feeling I learned to tolerate her then we eventually we slowly developed into friends. She always brings me a smile and a chuckle as she shares her love of death metal and guys with long flowing hair. She and I actually have spoken on the phone as well and it was a very enjoyable chat.

She and I may not always see eye-to-eye but she knows that I can just as tough as her in not letting anyone walk all over me or my emotions. She is wild as she is quirky and unique. I have never once regretted getting to know her and learning more about her and her life.

We actually have mutual love of science fiction together including Stargate SG-1. She may older than me but that has never stopped me from making her feel young at heart.

I am truly blessed to wish her a belated birthday and hope she has many wild adventures that I get to read about.

AerynRocks1 is a legend, and since we no longer have CWModGramps's truss to revere, we should treat our own Dorothy Parker, AerynRocks1, with as much deference as we did that vital piece of stained leather that enabled him to singlehandedly tow Mod Island to safety so many times. AerynRocks1 is our spiritual underwear in so many ways.
