I follow Lethal Weapon on Twitter and they have been sending out tweets all day. The fan responses are probably not what they were hoping for. Most of the responses at this time are backlash for the firing of Clayne. I see a couple of tweets defending the firing, but an overwhelming number of tweets say they are not going to watch. I will watch even though I tuned in because I wanted to see Clayne. I am not a fan of Wayans but I thought they did a good job on the show together.
Clayne found out through social media that he had been fired and that is just wrong.

I'm not happy about Clayne either but if he was going to leave the show, they did the best thing they could. This new man is good. I thought he was going to be boring but he gets fed up and takes risks. I did not realize he was the man in Syria until I saw the flashbacks, because I don't remember faces. And he lost someone important to him. I thought it was a shame about the boy. Whatever happened to him, it seemed to make him more willing to take risks, which was the case with Riggs.
I did not like how they handled Riggs' departure one bit. They should have just had him leave. Instead, they apparently used his stuntman so Riggs could arrive at the hospital. And they had Roger grieve for six months? No, that won't work. It looked like this was going to be a miserable episode. And Roger has no right to grieve: Wayans wanted him gone! Or at least didn't get along with him.
But it was great the way Roger and Cole met. And that was a great car chase. When Roger suggested jumping, I just knew Cole was going to do it and that Roger would discover no one was driving. And once again, Roger and his partner cost the city a great deal of money. I do enjoy watching them destroy cars but it seems a waste.
I noticed Cole's wife is Nat. That was great! I really like Nat Cole's music. His daughter Natalie not so much unless she is "singing" with her father. Though she has done some music similar to her father's in recent years. And I like how Nat and Cole don't really get along. Plus Nat is pretty.
Cole reminds me of the older doctor on "The Good Doctor". Too experienced to be a rookie.
I was afraid the shrink wouldn't be back but it looks like Roger is in need of treatment. I was so happy to see her.

^^^ I read about that last night at another forum. Is there any way that Clayne can be brought back to play Riggs or was the character written out of the show in a way to where a return is not possible?
God bless you and him always!!!

Holly They killed Riggs plus had Murtaugh grieve for six months. (That grieving received backlash from fans because of how phony it was.) The only way they could bring Riggs back is to do something similar to what Criminal Minds did. They could pretend they faked his death for his protection and that the threat is gone. They treated Clayne and the crew so shabbily, I do not know how he could trust them again.

I was happy enough with Cole that I was excited to tune in this week. At one point I was regretting that, but they seem to have done as good a job as they possibly could.
If they don't replace Damon Wayans with another actor I can't see this show continuing. I cannot deal with another death. I cannot see Trish and the kids going through that. It was hard enough to see Trish after what happened last week when I went to the beach. She was on another show where the main characters were a family named Kingston. Where I like to walk in one town there is a church called Kingston because that was the town's name back then. And the walking trail was flooded. I was surprised seeing Trish made me think of that.
I didn't know Avery was back at his old job. And his first name is Brooks? There was an actor Avery Brooks who got his own series after being the sidekick on "Spenser: For Hire". I don't recall ever watching the first series but I might have seen the spinoff.
I could have easily seen Riggs going up the side of the building and sneaking the man out.
The man Cole tortured with the popsicle looked like one of Charlie's "Anger Management" prisoners, but that man's name wasn't in the credits.
I didn't know Nat was Maggie Lawson. She played a doctor on another series. I really like her. I like her quirky relationship with Cole.
I liked how Cole messed up when Trish was naked.

Another good episode. I didn't know Richard Roundtree was still alive. He was good. And he made Roger miserable.
Cole's daughter was cute. I knew when she hit her head that I had seen "no diving" signs on motel pools and realized she shouldn't have.
We still have Roger for one more season but things seem to be working out with the new guy.

I miss seeing anything that makes me laugh, but the episode was good.
They picked up two more episodes so I guess Wayans will remain past 13 episodes.

His son has a show called "Happy Together" but if that gets cancelled moving there isn't an option.
I forgot to mention a couple of things. The coach's hot lawyer wife on "All American" reminded me that the comment was made that Roger and Trish moved into the house when they got married. That house? how is that possible? They can only afford it because Trish is a big-shot lawyer and there's no way she was one back then.
Also, I liked the music at the beginning of last week's episode.

Leo Getz Justice
SEASON 3, EPISODE 4 • NEW 10/16/18, 9:00 PM ON WBFFDT 45 • TV-14 • STEREO • CC • DVS
Cole reflects upon his time working for the CIA; Murtaugh struggles with his own mistakes after a murder raises questions about a suspect he put away years prior; Leo Getz tries to convince Trish to join his team.

Leo is always funny. I have trouble seeing him in dirty, disgusting places because his "Odd Couple" character would never have been able to handle it.
If RJ had really wanted to impress his parents he wouldn't have had that so-called music on. Costa Rica isn't known for coffee but Colombia, as any viewer of "Modern Family" knows, is a dangerous place. Costa Rica is the one Central American country considered safe.
I forget. Does Trish have a job? I know she felt she had to help Leo because Roger's career depended on it. Or maybe not. The ADA was corrupt.
Not as fun an episode as the others but Leo was a highlight.

This has been the consensus based on what I read instead of the story the network (and Wayans) tried to shove down our throats. The comment/question on the same page about the comedies - I agree with the responder that "Happy Together" and "The Neighborhood" are not awful shows. The person who wrote in did not say why he thought the shows were awful.

I watched the Goetz episode and enjoyed his part.
After falling from the tall building, Cole asked the first responder if he could do it again. That was funny. Also funny was Cole vandalizing the wrong car. The upside was that led to the angry young man smiling.
I bet a lot of people forget to check the expiration date on their passports. Roger Jr. will eventually find something that works for him. I like him better than I like Riana.
We will probably no longer see Murtaugh do his own stunts later in the season because of "his age and diabetes".
Kyle's denigrating remarks about music are extremely annoying.

Kyle's denigrating remarks about music are extremely annoying. I don't feel I've done anything more than merely annoying. Now if you read what I said on another site where I was asking for help with Christmas music, then yes, that would be as bad as you said. But I would think RJ's parents felt this way. And this isn't "All American" which is far worse.

Get the Picture
SEASON 3, EPISODE 5 • NEW 10/30/18, 9:00 PM ON WBFFDT 45 • TV-PG • STEREO • CC • DVS

How could this have aired? What if there had been a Game 6?
Roger goes to Lucille to get away from the Mertz. Anyone realize that?
The look on Trish's face when Roger went against her on the concert.
I liked how Cole kept getting on Andrew's nerves. I like Natalie and would be happy if they could get back together, or at least if Natalie wasn't with a man.
Once again, Roger and his partner cost the LAPD money. it's more serious because this is great art not capable of being replaced.
I wonder how they can still be driving Crown Victorias. Those haven't been made since 2011. On the other hand, you want to wreck older cars and they wreck a lot of them.

I correctly predicted Damon Sr. would be a guest on Junior's show. I'm hoping he can become a regular once he leaves the other show. However, I've heard very little about the show and don't imagine it will last anyway. At first I didn't think Damon Sr. added much but he was funnier later. Most of the episode was about how he was upset about his ex getting remarried and wouldn't tell his son.

SEASON 3, EPISODE 6 • NEW 11/6/18, 9:00 PM ON WBFFDT 45 • TV-14 • STEREO • CC • DVS
Cole confronts his past when his former mentor, Tom Barnes, delivers alarming news; Cole and Murtaugh investigate a robbery of safe deposit boxes; Murtaugh clashes with Trish's new client and enlists Bailey to help investigate her.

I didn't know Bailey didn't have a partner. This could have been the episode where they focused on her new partner Cole. I don't know that if Riggs was still on the show this would have been a problem, but maybe it would have worked to have them both.
Tom seems so much more mature now. When I see his name I still think of that kid who was in charge on the new version of "WKRP".
Trish was funny and I thought I was going to like how Roger had problems with one of her clients. More on that later. Roger admitted it was her house too. Actually, Roger could never have bought such a house on his own.
If Gutierrez becomes a regular this show becomes WKRR and "The Good Doctor" is WTQR. Well, WTQR in 1988. Another analogy is Secretariat in the 1973 Belmont Stakes.

Post by KyleEl on Nov 16, 2018 17:06:09 GMT -5
And we have the 1973 Belmont Stakes! No, this show is Twice a Prince.
I read yesterday that Getz is the Joe Pesci character from the movies.
Apparently Cole and Natalie didn't get married. That's probably for the best, although she didn't have to take his name. I was thinking Cole was his first name. Then their daughter said her last name was Flynn.
We were cheated. There was an S in the V-chip rating and nothing happened. At the very least this should have meant we got to see how Natalie got pregnant. I was worried Riana and her boyfriend might do something, but Roger happened to be in the car and he put a stop to that.
On the other hand, I liked the flashbacks with Natalie and Cole.
I was hoping Avery's reaction to Gutierrez would have meant she would have to go. This show isn't as funny and now we have this very disagreeable character.
I still don't understand how Roger got to Cole in time. I get that it was because he released that prisoner who looked a lot like the bank guard from last week and the patient in need of a kidney on the show that is now Secretariat. Cole had some lines that would have been good for Riggs, but once again, it was Cole's past that led to the situation and it had to be Cole, not Riggs.
Nice music in the restaurant.
