Now this was more like it!
I was premature to remove this show from my top ten list. Though if Roger leaves and the show continues, it wouldn't stay there.
One thing wrong with the episode: if next week's is considered to be happening after the events of this week, hockey doesn't have playoffs this time of year.
I was hoping Natalie and Cole would get back together, but not like this. That was very nice of Cole to handle the situation the way he did.
Very enjoyable car chase, and I especially liked Cole's relationship with the district attorney.
The man who worked in the restaurant was fun.
I liked the music at the beginning. Girls' night was also fun but kind of unpleasant for Roger.

I thought it was almost as good as the last episode. There are flashbacks to Christmas when Cole was a child being bullied in Europe and then having to leave for Indonesia and leave his friends because of his mother's job.
Roger had a huge party and then RJ missed his flight.
Cole and Maya were left homeless because of the chaos he causes, but the owner of the motel was convinced to let them come back.
The suspect in a burglary was Cole's friend, who had a son who was Maya's friend. Roger refused to listen to Cole because the evidence, including the man's past, made it clear the man had done it.
The person who actually did it looked like Santa Claus, which was crucial to a wild and hilarious scene that was quite shocking to bystanders. The man had to do less preparation than his partner for the big job.
I wasn't aware Avery was gay, or maybe I knew and forgot, but it appear he has a partner.
Gutierrez was in the episode, which is unfortunate. She likes Scorsese but claims Scorsese likes Bailey.
The events of the last episode were not essential to this one. I mention that because Christmas could not possibly have happened after a pro hockey team made the playoffs. It was stated that Maya could not spend the day with Andrew's family, but not why.

How could this have aired? What if there had been a Game 6? Roger goes to Lucille to get away from the Mertz. Anyone realize that? The look on Trish's face when Roger went against her on the concert. I liked how Cole kept getting on Andrew's nerves. I like Natalie and would be happy if they could get back together, or at least if Natalie wasn't with a man. Once again, Roger and his partner cost the LAPD money. it's more serious because this is great art not capable of being replaced. I wonder how they can still be driving Crown Victorias. Those haven't been made since 2011. On the other hand, you want to wreck older cars and they wreck a lot of them. I watched "Get the Picture". My favorite scenes were Trish giving Roger "the look" when he undermined her authority and the drama on the boats. Avery finally got one over on Roger when Roger presented the expenses to the mayor and the mayor did not recognize the Captain's name. "get away from the Mertz" - Nope, I do not get that.

I watched "Panama" and I am now watching "What the Puck".
I enjoyed learning about Cole's history with the CIA and his previous relationship with Natalie.
I think the Gute will add snarky humor to the show.
Kyle, I do not watch the sit-coms you reference in your analogies.

"What the Puck" was entertaining. The car chase was hilarious. The restaurant guy was a great concierge. He had a lot of interesting contacts and knew his way around. He also had quick reflexes when he saw the suspicious package attached to his car.
I hoped Cole and Natalie would get together, but it will be even more interesting if Cole and the A.D.A. flirt. Cole's joke about her catching a lot of little fish was funny.

Roger goes to Lucille to get away from the Mertz. Anyone realize that? "get away from the Mertz" - Nope, I do not get that. I've forgotten now what Mertz even meant, but Lucille Ball's "I Love Lucy" character and her husband were best friends with the Mertzes.

Before I comment, after one episode of "Happy Together" the next episode was previewed by asking how many men named Damon Wayans would be in it.
I really liked the episode. It was kind of a disappointment that the wedding wasn't real. But we did get to see Natalie again and she looked hot. It's a shame things didn't work out for her and Cole but I guess things have turned out all right.
On the other hand, Cole's continued troubles with the A.D.A. were very entertaining. I felt bad for her because of all the damage.
Leo really needed Trish's help but this was an important case. When the judge was about to tell them it was over, Trish should have quietly told him Leo is incompetent.
Harper is older than I was expecting but I guess the series has been on that long.
Roger is right to be concerned but that is the nature of Trish's job.
I have long felt Trish and Leo needed to be partners.

Finally, a happy ending for Cole.
Murtaugh was in the right place at an opportune time to thwart an assassination. Good thing he is persistent.
I was touched by the child's courage when he wrote "help" on the window.
I think Mrs. Murtaugh really wants to wear revealing outfits, but those are popular at resorts.
Roger Jr. amuses me with his choices for a career. He could probably make a lot of money, but I am not sure he is old enough for that business.

Haven't seen it yet, and you can blame Trump. It hadn't started when I turned the TV on but I had seen online that Trump was addressing the nation. So when I got finished watching a couple of other shows (one of which I had checked, to see if it was getting delayed) I checked to see if two of the shows I was watching were getting delayed. At least "This is us" wasn't on but that would have been easier. I watched "Black-ish", including what was recorded when "Splitting Up Together" was supposed to be on. I don't like that second one but this one was good. After watching "America's Funniest Home Videos" show several patients who were sedated at the dentist--all of which they had done before, I think, though the $100,000 winner was one of them so that one was on when it won $10,000--Lena was sedated at the dentist. Before she even got in the chair. It was great.

This was another good episode. Cole in another car chase and more antics with the assistant DA. And calling the senator a hooker.
It was great how it started with Roger being interrogated and getting on the other cop's nerves. And then Cole became a part of it.
Roger sure got better fast, going to that room to find evidence. Of course, one of the bad guys fixed his back. I was worried he might have made things worse.
it got exciting when Roger and Cole couldn't do what they had planned and had to save the day another way.

Why are you doing this to me? Well, now we're even. I have to try to remember the episode. Roger needs to retire. Damon Wayans doesn't have to quit the show if he just teaches, and I think that's a good idea. What worries me is they might pair Gutierrez and Cole. We need to see Trish either win or lose this election. I don't think she's ready to be a DA in a city the size of Los Angeles, but it's good that she wants to do something important. Roger had some amazing moves, or thinks he did. He did a pretty good job later. Maya is learning the wrong things from being around Cole. But he's really trying to be a good father. Meanwhile, he and the ADA are serious and it's time to explain that to her. No Natalie in this episode but she was mentioned. Today my favorite radio station played one of those duets between Nat and Natalie which was put together from separate recordings. I seem to recall a mixed martial arts fighter who was really cruel.

I did not expect Rog to ever successfully do "the Roger", but he did good when it counted.
I really like Trish and enjoyed it when she worked on legal cases. I do not enjoy another show that is involved in politics though. I would prefer Trish and Goetz work cases together.

I do not enjoy another show that is involved in politics though. I would prefer Trish and Goetz work cases together. I can't imagine what would happen if Wayans leaves the show. The idea of her being widowed upsets me too much and I don't want to see a series where she is also running for office after that happened. Ideally, Roger would retire or be captain who just sits at a desk, which would solve Wayans' biggest problem.

Cole is indestructible. What happened to him reminded me of that movie starring Arnold as a man who was a hero in movies entered the real world and discovered pain for the first time. Eddie on "The Kids Are Alright", which aired at the same time, fell off the roof but didn't land in a nice soft bush. He hit his head on the brick steps. His father complained about him breaking the steps, but since the boy's vision was blurry, didn't insist the boy fix them himself. Otherwise, he seemed fine.
I wasn't surprised cell phones didn't work way out in the desert, but I do wonder how the helicopter pilot knew where to go.
The woman doing the background checks was the second in command to the captain who went crazy on "Gotham", on another show. I recognized her name in the credits.
After all this time, Roger still has secrets we don't know about?
I liked the scenes with Cole and his mother and how Cole and Maya could appreciate her work. I do wonder how it just happened there was a museum that had them. Even Cole figured out how to take photos!

I enjoyed the scenes where the vetting revealed information. The lady was very calm and supportive. I wondered if the kids overheard the conversation about the first husband; otherwise, why would they bring it up when they did.
It was exciting to see the officers running for their lives and winding up at the same location. I assumed the Captain tracked Roger's vehicle and they were running distance from that point. Plus, it seemed there was only one cabin in that area. When Avery was standing in front of the helicopter, he looked very young. I checked his bio, and Kevin Rahm has an impressive resume.
Being an alpha male, Cole's instinct was to protect women and children. That is why I think he was upset with his mother constantly putting herself in danger and he resented her for doing that. I do not think he was ever fearful for himself. I am pretty sure the segment explaining how the pictures wound up in a museum Cole could visit was left on the floor of the editing room.

Article that Kyle has asked me to share in here:
Q: Is the African-American woman who plays Roger Murtaugh’s wife on the “Lethal Weapon” TV series the same woman who plays the interim director on “NCIS: Los Angeles,” the one who replaced Hetty? I say she’s the same actress, but my wife says no. If not, she looks like she could be her identical twin. --Ed. S., New York
A: It’s hard to believe that “Lethal Weapon” already is in its third season on FOX. It’s always a risk when a TV series is based on a well-known hit movie of the same name, but enough time has passed since Mel Gibson and Danny Glover starred in the original film that comparisons don’t have to be made.
As for Murtaugh’s (Damon Wayons) wife, Trish, I have to say your wife is right on this one. She’s played by actress Keesha Sharp, while Nia Long plays Assistant Director Shay Mosley on “NCIS: Los Angeles.” I do agree with you that they look very much alike, but they’re not related. However, they both were born in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Parts of the episode were intense and exciting. I enjoyed seeing Cole work with Tom Barnes of the CIA and they have fun together.
Yes, Cole lied to Murtaugh. But if Murtaugh had not sneaked up the stairs at the embassy, he would not have been in danger. However, Murtaugh blamed Cole for "almost getting him killed". That made no sense to me.
I did not think the issues with the campaign were funny.
The D.A. breaking up with Cole did make sense.

I keep hoping Trish will give up. She's not ready. She needs to do Cole's girlfriend's job for a while.
If Cole and Roger don't make up, maybe that's the way out for Roger. And yet I'm afraid he could die next week.
It was wrong for Cole to deal with Barnes but no one would listen and they had to catch the real killer. I just knew the first time I saw the kid that he'd get accused of something. And he'd be innocent. It would have helped for us to see a flashback.
