I haven't been overly excited with some of the episodes, but I like this one a lot. There were some sweet moments and some that were a little weird, but I liked it.
I didn't think Jack would die so soon in the episode, but he is a honorary Winchester so I knew he would be back. when Sam was sitting by him right before he died, you could see how much pain was in Sam, and honestly I saw more pain and grief in him than anyone else. yea, Dean and Cas were upset but you could see it in Sam, before Jack died and by the car when Cas and Sam found him. I would have liked to see more out of Dean and Cas, who seemed a little too much ok with it, he was odd to me in how he acted.
When the guys sat around drinking and eating candy bars, it was nice to see them do that, but again CAS LAUGHED and smiled, he has smiled before and laughed when he was possessed by Lucifer, but I don't think we have eve seen him laugh. It was very odd. I did love that scene where Cas found Jack and Kelly, it felt like a family moment and it was nice to see that. I loved seeing Jack get a little time with his mom, that was special.
I thought the part with Lily, Sam and Dean was ok, I did love when Sam yelled he's our kid, it was nice to hear that, so often I feel Sam has to take a back seat to Dean and what he wants to do, he is and can be a leader but when Dean is around he often sits back and lets Dean be in charge. I was happy to see Lily help bring Jack back and to see she got to go to heaven and see her daughter. The little moment at the end with all 4 eating around the table was sweet, too bad that won't last.
Cas what have you done? You made a deal and you are keeping it secret, never a good thing to do, but since he always feels like he always making mistakes I felt this is his way of making it right. I hope Jack or Cas breaks their promise so the boys get tipped off before it happens. I almost think the empty being will be waiting a long time for Cas to be happy, cause Cas always has the weight of the world on him, but hey you never know.

Hi novemberschild I feel the same way about the episode. I enjoyed it, but I have to admit that when Jack died, I immediately went to Twitter to rant. Everyone else was also ranting and that made me feel good that people really like Jack. Supernatural was trending for a long time. I never thought Jack would meet Kelly. It was so special to see Jack, Cas and Kelly together. The darkness is vindictive and petty and he messed up a sweet reunion. TFW has so much to worry about. If the brothers knew about Cas' deal, it would be overwhelming because they would try to find a way to thwart it. When I saw the red-eyed creature in the previous episode, I thought it was Lucifer being resurrected, but I guess it was letting us know that the darkness was coming.

So why has the Empty not shown up before now. Haven't angels been killed before Jack?
Stupid deal, Cas. Nuff said.
Wasn't quite sure about Lily, but liked that she came out ok in the end.
What's next?

So why has the Empty not shown up before now. Haven't angels been killed before Jack? What's next? Following the logic on Supernatural often requires me to have a "just go along with it" attitude. There was too much dialogue with the Empty, but I decided it had not faced an issue where the being had a foot in both worlds - angel and human. The empty, being malevolent, decided to make a power grab for Jack. I think he was willing to take Cas' deal was either because he was mad Cas woke him up or because Cas got away from him. They were not clear on that. What's next? Maybe Mary will return Dean's call. The bunker sure was empty. I am not complaining about that. Seeing the guys laugh was nice, but seeing Cas drinking straight from a whiskey bottle was amusing. Dean has been a bad influence.

Hello all! I thought with the red eyes it was Lucifer also
I don't know why the Empty hasn't shown up before, maybe because Cas woke it up, but then why let Cas go and still stay awake?
I like the empty bunker myself, I think I read an article that said it would empty out some, that some people would be stationed other places, I personally wish all the AU hunters would leave.
