I have survived all the plot twists and yet, I still root for Reddington. The actor who plays Red was an immature, rebellious womanizing jerk on "Boston Legal" and one of my favorite characters. But I knew he'd be different here so it just wasn't enough incentive to watch. |

But I knew he'd be different here so it just wasn't enough incentive to watch. I understand and I watched "Boston Legal”. The actor (James Spader) is the highlight of the show. He is not a womanizer but he certainly is a scoundrel. |

I did not enjoy the episodes where Liz betrayed Red, but I kept watching and I enjoy everything else. Dembe knows the truth, and Liz begged him to not tell Red that it was her who got him arrested. Dembe has kept the secret, but Red is suspicious he knows something.
I am happy that they have returned to focusing on the Blacklisters. That is what makes the series unique.

In the latest episode, Reddington told Liz the person that the FBI thought was a terrorist who kidnapped high profile people had a different agenda.
A surgeon had been raped around six years ago and it resulted in pregnancy. She wanted to abort the pregnancy, but the politicians, governor and clergy were against it and said it was illegal. They sent her to prison until the baby was born in prison.
She kidnapped the men she held responsible for her ordeal. She and her followers performed two procedures on the men. The first was to insert a womb. The second was to use invitro fertilization so that the men would become pregnant and have to carry the baby until it was born. She said if they truly believed a rape victim should carry the baby, then they should also be willing.

Did anyone who likes this show ever watch a movie called "2 Days in the Valley"? I saw it. Teri Hatcher who was on "Supergirl" was in bed with her ex when he was killed. James Spader was the killer and he was not one bit likable. He was quite nasty. From what I've seen of Red, he's not much better. Now Danny Aiello, as his partner, was a fun villain.

I watched the episode where a man extracted semen from men who died in an accident and used the sperm to impregnate women. He then had the women go to the men's families to extort money. This show has unique cases.
Red knows Liz is lying to him and that she knows he is not who he claimed to be when they talked about her mother. Liz is the only one who gets away with lying to Reddington.

I am impressed by the way The Blacklist team completed the episode without physical contact. I enjoyed it and their method did not detract from the plot.
Reddington was using the FBI pursuit of a blacklister to get information on the location of Liz's mother. Red also needed to know if Liz was loyal to him or loyal to her mother. Liz has been stabbing Red in the back for several seasons and she lied and tricked him again. Lucky for her, she is the only person Red is unwilling to kill.
I am disappointed that so much time was spent on Liz's betrayal of Red and in the final scene, she clearly stated she is on her mother's side. Season 8 is going to suck!
In a previous episode, Liz grandfather was shot by her father and wound up in a coma. Liz has spent time by his bedside. The after credits showed the actor died in real life.
