I am glad the series was extended so we could see Gordon become the Commissioner and see Bruce become Batman. Selina became an adult thief as Catwoman.
I did not expect Penguin and Riddler to spend ten years in prison, but they were entertaining when they were released.
I am not a fan of Jeremiah so I wish they had chosen a different final villain. I am glad Jeremiah was not successful in blowing up the new Wayne Tower that took ten years to build.
Shining the Bat Signal and seeing Batman in costume was nice.

5.12 Legend of the Dark Knight: The Beginning...
4-25-19
Ten years in the future - Bruce returns to Gotham for the opening of the new Wayne Tower; when Bullock is framed for a murder, Gordon begins to piece together a sinister plot targeting the city; a new figure emerges to be the hero Gotham needs. I was hoping it wouldn't be as dark. It started out really positive. I was confused since Jim was with Barbara, but then he was with Lee. And then it was just as bad as the others. I liked how Alfred made the big announcement, and how he talked about what Bruce was doing but didn't make it clear. That mysterious person kept appearing, and we saw sort of what he looked like. It's him! And it really was Batman, and we did see him at the end. Almost like how Clark was Superman when "Smallville" ended. Jeremiah didn't want to be called that. What did he want to be called? "Joker" comes to mind but no one said it. Selina had such a low voice. And she was even tougher. Harvey confessed to a murder he didn't commit. I never understood why but at least he got out of the jam he was in. Penguin and Nygma together again. Ten years later they're still using those old cars.

Shining the Bat Signal and seeing Batman in costume was nice. Very nice, but the Bat Signal wasn't identifiable as such. We knew what it was, but seeing it would have been better.

Nothing ShockingMy favorite scene was when Oswald and Nygma were confronted by Mr. Penn and Scarface. Hugo’s experiments continue to plague citizens of Gotham. He created a changeling who could touch a person and change to look like them. She killed some cops and Harvey was next on her list. Bruce and Alfred took on the task of finding the thing in the sewer that was causing people to disappear. It was dangerous and when the flashlight stopped working… There are four more episodes until the series finale. I was so glad we had comedy in this episode. Not only Nygma and Penguin interacting but Penn and Scarface. I knew that wasn't Harvey that killed that man. This is the type show where that can happen, and I had to learn to expect anyone to not be who we thought once we knew Harvey's former partner was in a wheelchair. Harvey was working a case as a rookie that was 20 years old? He looks so much older. Unless he was a rookie when he was older than most rookie cops. I interpreted "the kid" as being the young daughter, who was somehow also guilty. I am curious how Harvey believed he was all that man had. how could that man have survived after the city was cut off? he even had power! By the way, that was Carla's husband from "Cheers" and its spinoff. I don't see how Barbara and the person pretending to be Barbara could have been on screen at the same time. There are simple ways to do it but that had to be state of the art. Alfred had a good attitude about the destruction of Wayne Manor but it just isn't right.

"I Am Bane" was originally scripted to be the series finale, but two additional episodes were added so Bruce's transition to Batman could be shown. We have to wait four weeks to see the final episodes. A lot of action and information was packed into the episode. It looked as if the reunification was a success when the water from the purification system was approved. Then a truck drove up and people started firing at the group. Jim and Bruce were kidnapped and no one knew why. Eduardo was rescued by (fake) Walker and turned into the villain known as "Bane". Bane hurt Jim at Walker's request and Bruce had to watch. After Jim suffered a violent beating, Bruce guessed correctly that Walker was the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul. She wanted revenge for the death of her father. (Of course, to anyone who paid attention, that did not make sense because Ra's insisted Bruce kill him because he was ready to move on.) Nyssa sent Eduardo to find Barbara so she could also be punished. Barbara went into labor before Eduardo showed up. Barbara's labor was the most exciting labor scene I have enjoyed as she fired weapons while Lee pushed her in a wheelchair. She had a baby girl. Penguin and Nygma worked together to slow Eduardo down, but had to run for their lives as Bane walked through the blast. Selina, Alfred, Harvey and others were also involved in the drama. Final scene showed Gotham being bombed by the military. I'm so glad this wasn't the finale. I was pleased the reunification was finally going to take place and wondered why Penguin and Nygma still felt they had to leave. I don't remember Eduardo being rescued but it was in the previously. Jim is indestructible. Still, it's good that I already saw the finale. Penguin and Nygma were funny and made the episode worth seeing. Lee didn't have anything to help Barbara with her pain. But Barbara deserves to be in pain for all she's done. We knew the baby would be okay. That was the second birth I saw that day, the first one being Spock in a flashback. I actually think it makes perfect sense for the daughter of Ra's (how exactly would we change that to a possessive) to want revenge because she wouldn't want her father to die even if he did want to die.

I can't watch the last episode because then it will be over.
In the mountains, where the cable comes with the room and I don't have to pay extra for all the other channels, I saw "The Lego Batman Movie". Twice. I missed so much detail the first time around and then noticed it was airing again. I don't normally watch anything twice any more but with no way to back up and see it again, I had no choice.
Batman was Patrick Warburton as Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump. Except he was Will Arnett. But that conceited attitude, and not just the way he talked, did remind me of Trump. I have all the good ideas! I can do it myself!

5.11 Legend of the Dark Knight: They Did What? As Bane enacts his final plan for Gotham's destruction, Gordon rallies his former enemies to save the city. Meanwhile, Nyssa al Ghul kidnaps Barbara's newborn daughter with ambitions to raise her as her own. Then, Bruce's decision to leave Gotham points him to his destiny, while devastating Selina. Wow. I am so glad I knew how it was all going to turn out before I saw this one. Everything just looked hopeless. Then Bruce had to destroy his father's building and still that wasn't enough to stop them. Only when they all came through to defend their city, and the soldiers couldn't bear to kill them all, did it work. What a great ending. Meanwhile, Penguin and Nygma made an effort as well, but they ended up nearly getting killed and Penguin has a new problem. I thought Nygma was going to escape but he too did the right thing.
