Let’s ditch the pepper spray and keep some dragon’s breath in the purse.
It was cute when Dean charmed the lady in the Post Office and Sam had stink face.
John Wayne Gacy’s killer clown ghost in the mirror scared me, and I was glad Ethan got away. It would have been so cliché to kill the black guy.
The teenagers gave me some chuckles and they handled that supernatural stuff pretty well. I had often wondered if the bunker was near a town and what the residents thought was going on there. I appreciate them letting us see a little of that.
The pearl revealed what Dean really wants – John Winchester and his family together again. Mary was much warmer to John than I expected because she was not that enthusiastic about the boys. But it was nice to see them as a cohesive family unit. I was glad Sam took the opportunity to make peace with his father.
I was excited to see Zachariah and I always thought he played his role of “middle management” very well. It was great to see Bad-Ass Cas again. Seeing Castiel and Zachariah in the store was so exciting. Reminded me of when Dean first met Cas. Also reminded me of when Castiel was furious with Dean. I am glad Sam kept a cool head and saved them. Zachariah did not look like he aged a day. Good for him.
The ending was bittersweet.

Everything you said, Anti. It was a great episode JDM stepped back into John's shoes as if he had necer left the show. Best part for me was John and Mary's reunion. Only sorry the whole family's reunion couldn't have lasted longer.
The ending was mysterious.....Jon in the Impala answering a phone call from Dean.....is he in another AU?

It was what long time fans of the show have wanted to see for a long time, the core Winchesters together, if only for a little while.
I thought the teenager part was a little too long that time could have been better utilized, but I do understand we needed to see some of that and it would have been nice to see how some of the adults see the grown men who live outside of town, we got the tiniest bit of that but not enough.
I loved seeing JDM back on this show, every minute he was on screen was fantastic and he brought John back to life ( no pun intended) Hearing what he said to Sam and Dean was what they needed to hear, he loved them, he was proud of them and he was sorry. I loved the little moment when John heard Mary's voice and got teary up, I almost got teary at that. I did like seeing Mary's reaction to John, I am not a big fan of hers but she actually seemed to care for someone besides herself and I was ok with that.
I thought J2 did an awesome job with this, especially Jared he almost made me cry, he was able to show so much and not really say it, and both he and Jensen at the goodbye scene were great, that little moment when Sam crushed the pearl and when Dean jumped, it broke my heart.
Seeing BA Cas, my how I have missed this Cas who can actually fight and not get taken down with a punch or two. it was a welcome sight to see especially after last's week puppy Cas. I liked seeing Zachariah if only for a minute, and hearing him call Cas- Constantine LOL.
John, in Baby at the end, it almost made me think of maybe that was how the whole thing could have started. Even though we know they grew up hunting it does make you wonder, Baby had the original plates on her so who knows???

Nov, I understand you irritation with Mary, but, try to remember....when she was killed Dean was a little boy of four and Sam was still a baby. To br brought back to life with sons who are now in their late 30's must be quite a trauma. Plus, her beloved husband is dead. It would be incredibly hard to bond with 2 grown men you've never known and to adjust to life without your husband. She's made lots of mistakes but i will cut her some slack. It's not her fault, she's just written that way.

SoCal, I get that it must have been a huge trauma for her. I guess my lack of interest and huge disappointment in her is more the writers fault than anything else. They brought her back and then poof, she needs to leave and have some time. then she hooks up with the BMOL and then kills other hunters ( due to her being controlled) and then she goes to an AU ( not entirely her choice)she meets up with Jack, and the joins the AU hunters and prefers to stay with them until her boys come up with a way to bring everyone back to our world. She comes back and then leaves with Bobby, then when they need time apart she continues to stay away. I mean come on, she couldn't stick around and try and get to know her boys? I think I would have believed it better if she would have stuck around a little longer in S12 before she went off. I would have felt like she actually cared more about these 2 men. if we had better writers then a lot of plot holes we have now wouldn't be so bad, but there is noting I can do about that. Maybe after this last episode she will be a little more caring?
