You know the drill. If there are rankings for only some of the shows, I'm not finished and I was having computer problems that made me worry I would lose all my work.

At this point I can already make some observations.

I never saw The CW cancel a show after only two episodes, but apparently it is possible. That show was doing so poorly something had to be done. Except other shows are just as bad and they're still around.

The Big Four must be so glad football is back. What I don't understand is how rating can go UP when a "Last Man Standing" rerun follows another episode, of that show or something else. Football even helped reruns of the Fox shows.

I don't know why shows went up on Thursday. You'd think football would take viewers away from whatever other shows aired, especially reruns.

Further observations: While I'm not going to try to fix the rankings of the CW shows, this is the first week in a while that they have been the last-place shows.

I was always taught to alphabetize titles as if the words "A", "An" and "The" aren't there. But here's a question: What do I do when the usual practice by USA Today is to precede the name of a movie with "Movie"? I haven't used USA Today in a while but I'm still doing things their way, like using only one digit beyond the decimal.

Speaking of which, all the shows tied at 33 had 3.3 million viewers.

The five top shows, and seven of the top 10, were football-related. As far as I know, the site I use now doesn't have final numbers for Saturday. It's interesting that Fox and ABC both have Saturday night college football but one does much better than the other.

I read that despite the numbers, "Love Island" is being renewed. Seriously?

One more! "Masters of Illusion" swapped their two Sunday episodes. How DID they do it?
