How dark can this series get? What happened to Alice as a child was sickening to watch. August Cartwright was living in his mother's house when he kidnapped young Beth. He was afraid of his mother and let her torture Beth. He also did something horrible to Beth and Kate's mother. After years of abuse, Alice ended August's mother.
Kate finally convinced Jacob that Beth/Alice was still alive and they tracked her down. But nothing went as planned and it ended on a very dark tone.

I enjoyed the sisters bizarre bonding scenes. Alice insisted Kate help her break into Arkham to rescue Mouse. There were some exciting fight scenes, but I was shocked at the result.
Kate and her father had a good exchange that ended with a warm embrace.

I am glad Kate’s friends have helped her overcome anxiety about killing that man. Batwoman is back in action and displaying her awesome fighting skills. She and the SSR agent worked together to get the journal written by Luke’s father. They succeeded but Kate’s one-night stand stole it. The bartender was Magpie’s sister. Magpie gave the journal to Alice. I laughed at Alice’s disappointment when she viewed the content of the journal.
It is a wee bit scary what Alice and Mouse accomplished in Arkham. And Alice promised her daddy some unthinkable punishment.
