It turned out to be better than I was expecting. I do wish they didn't have subtitles. I have to deal with that on "Broke" too.
I really believe Noa is sincere and she won't end up hurting Daniel. Daniel is living a fantasy right now.
The manager keeps wanting to pour cold water on Daniel's adventure.
I do wonder what she was doing in a men's room. Although Grace on "Will and Grace", who was pregnant, went in the men's room because there was no line and yes, she did see what she wasn't supposed to. Essentially, she congratulated her gay best friend Will. Who was no longer with the man, but still.
I like how the family cares for each other.
I liked the scenes with the sister and how excited she was about what Daniel was getting to do, and how embarrassed she was around her brother the DJ.
And the mom is crazy.
I wish I had known earlier that Noa was Cristal No. 1 from "Dynasty". Since she was married to Blake, I just assumed when I saw her name in the credits that she was older and the mom. I remember now Fallon didn't like having a stepmother her own age.
I'm an episode behind because I wasn't optimistic.

I like Noa and agree she is sincere about liking Daniel. I also think Lewis, Noa's Assistant, is sincere when he warns Daniel about Noa. He does not mean any harm, but he is afraid a disappointing letdown could turn ugly. His job is to protect Noa from bad press.
I like Daniel's family even though the mother is high strung and a little manipulative.
It was nice of Noa to talk to Natalie on the phone. It made Natalie so happy.
I wonder if fandom will have two camps - one for Noa and one for Vanessa?

Ruin My Life I enjoyed this episode even though several things went wrong. I did not want to see anything go wrong, but there were nice things happening between those events. Daniel attended Noa’s birthday party which she annually turned into a work event. When Noa saw him, her expression brightened and she winked at him. I thought that was sweet and made him feel very welcome. He needed that after the snide reaction from the parking attendant about his ride.
When Daniel was leaving the party, Piper encouraged him to remain and that led to Daniel learning more about Noa’s personal life. To cheer her up, Daniel suggested they leave and so something fun. When they were sneaking out, Lewis intercepted them. I knew he was not a bad guy. He told them to just go!
I wondered why Daniel took a video before leaving the party because that seemed out of character for him. When the family watched the clip, we learned Mateo’s original song was playing.
The broken stove could have turned into a sad moment and I am glad it ended happily.
Daniel needs to buy a car. What does his brother drive?
Random observations:
When Noa and Daniel were at the beach, I thought there must be too many clouds for the stars to be seen because the camera never panned up to the sky. Lol
When Noa and Daniel left the party, they did not show her getting into the food truck. That would have turned some heads.
Natalie probably likes girls instead of boys because every show must have a same-sex friendship.

Get Carried Away
This was a feel-good episode. For each disaster, there was an entertaining solution.
Vanessa seems like a lovely person even though she is very aggressive.

I must have deleted the wrong recording because halfway through I saw something about Coronavirus on the bottom of the screen and was reminded I hadn't seen any of the updates. Either the station quit doing them or they avoid it when there are subtitles. The subtitles get on my nerves and they're on "Broke" too. However I can avoid the updates, I'm happy. Given what happened to the TiVo where I also record this, I'm concerned about the future. I can't even transfer recordings at this point. But I still record all ABC programs from the station I have to pick up with an antenna which, at this point, is the only dependable station with an antenna. I wasn't enjoying the episode at first but things worked out. Daniel was able to be the companion Noa wanted and, after the conversation with her mother, needed. Those other people wouldn't have been there for her in that way. But before that, I was still concerned. Daniel didn't seem to fit in. And then there was the incident with the truck. I was worried about the oven and I just had this terrible feeling as the father was putting everything in there. I wondered why Daniel was filming but now we know. Vanessa doesn't seem as evil. I actually kind of felt sorry for her.

I watched one more episode. This is still entertaining.
The look on Amy's face when she first showed up at the bakery.
I feel bad for Natalie but it looks like this could be interesting. I wonder why it seems to be required these days that every show have a gay character?
I hate that Noa and her secret romance are being filmed. I liked it just fine when they were just friends and enjoying themselves. And that led to the solution for a crisis.
I liked the Spanish language music, and music that sounded like it would have had Spanish lyrics. There was one song I didn't like but I think it was English.
Mateo should have known better than to say he des his own thing and won't be censored. Especially when we're talking about a Bar Mitzvah. Daniel's ex is ending up being much more likeable.

Honeymoon's Over S1, Ep5 11 May 2020 When Daniel and Noa's relationship goes public, tensions mount. Lewis makes Vanessa an intriguing proposition which leads to a conflict between Daniel and Noa. Rafael tries to support Mateo's dreams. *** It was an oversight that I did not post about this very nice episode. Yes, Amy's expression was comical. Natalie has a flight reflex when confronted with awkward situations. I remember laughing when she slid off the bed when her mother almost caught her kissing her friend. I think it was obvious those two liked each other in a special way, but the family was not paying attention. If they show them making out on a bed, I will be fast forwarding through it. I felt sorry for Mateo that he had to lose the $300 he spent for recording studio time because his father made him work. The dispute because of that led to a better understanding and acceptance...and a soundproof room to use as a studio. That was excellent. I thought the shopping trip for Natalie would have a happy ending also, but it was ruined because her mother kept pressing the issue that life would be difficult for Natalie. Opportunities are opening up for Daniel, but it is unfortunate people try to use him to get to Noa. He is not willing to do that. Noa's opportunities are exciting and she wants Daniel to travel with her, but he has obligations to his family business. I hope they can work that out. They did a nice job of settling their first dispute about Lewis' proposition to Vanessa.

Get Carried AwayThis was a feel-good episode. For each disaster, there was an entertaining solution. Vanessa seems like a lovely person even though she is very aggressive. I think this is the episode I saw. The family wanted to meet Noa. Noa was willing to come over. It was all very nice. At first. Noa didn't mean to mess thing sup for Natalie and Amy. The look on Amy's face! And then things went downhill. Amy is such a sweet girl. I really like her. Which means I may have to rethink my three favorite characters. Rafael handled the situation very well. Eventually. He loves Natalie no matter what. I really didn't need to see Lewis' date. But Trevor was nice. Vanessa had a point. It was a long time before she ate with the family. Noa gets treated better. But Daniel didn't feel that way about her. That was a nice story about how Rafael met his wife. If they are from Cuba, were they illegal at some point? I'm sure they're legal now, but … If they are in a Cuban neighborhood, not Cuba, why did I see a '56 Buick? Of course I like seeing a '56 Buick.

Especially when he had a job to do. I was pleased Natalie's mother came to her defense, but her mom is right that it's not going to be easy. I'm glad Daniel is staying true to his values. I was worried when they fought (is that the right episode?) but it turned out fine. Vanessa isn't taking advantage of all her opportunities but she has a good reason.

When the airport scene cut to commercial, I thought the episode had ended. Don't make that mistake. I enjoyed both episodes. Even though there was conflict between various people, that did not bother me. I hoped they would resolve it in a positive manner. Although I think there is too much stress involved in looking at one day as the most important day in one's life, I was happy the party was beautiful for Daniel's sister, Natalie. Her girlfriend, Amy, is a very nice young lady. Natalie's off-the-shoulder dress caused some concern because I thought the dress might slip and show too much cleavage. As far as selling the bakery is concerned, I think the parent should make the decision unless one of the children want to get up at 2 AM to take over the baking. Noa and Daniel are lovely together. I guess his new job would permit him to travel around the world with her if they give him liberty to choose the location for articles. My daughter follow those "best" recipe locations and we have visited some local ones. Always a pleasure. A unique one was "the best grilled cheese sandwich". The line was out the door, but we got in line. The scene in the truck, when Daniel heard Vanessa reveal what happened with Mateo, was funny. Vanessa needs to slow down. Did she sleep with the producer? I like Lewis and hope his new relationship is successful. Sorry, but I had to laugh when I saw the shoes Lewis had to substitute for his good shoes.

Noa and Daniel's worlds are turned upside down when Vanessa ignites a scandal; Noa works overtime to salvage the reputation of her company and ease tensions with her board of directors; Daniel tries to smooth things over with his familyI was sure I made the right decision not to include this show in my top ten after one disaster after another. Things got better the next week. I'm not sure which episode I am referring to here. There were so many great scenes, like Natalie and her mom after she got caught skipping school. Noa managed to save her job with her company. Her story reminds me a little of Fallon on "Dynasty" (Noa was Blake's second wife but was killed off in a season-ending cliffhanger) but Fallon is selfish, narcissistic and just generally hateful and a real pleasure to watch. I liked how things evolved with her father. He wasn't as mean as I first thought. Vanessa wants Mateo to continue his career. I don't know who will run the business, if there is one to run after all this. I did like how they decided to do the work themselves. It reminded me of how a former mall where I live was converted into offices. I was there when prisoners form the local prison got to knock stuff down. I know they appreciated that opportunity. There was no music at the festival Natalie and Amy went to (I enjoyed their scenes, though). There was when Noa's father met with Lewis. I guess Lewis getting sick added something to the episode.

I can't reply to the comment above because there was no "airport scene" and apparently I would have to read a lot about what I haven't seen yet. I only had time for the first hour and, really, it ended so well I hate to see more and end up disappointed. I can just assume Daniel and Noa end up together and the family business is successful.
But what happened in the first half is enough that I can confidently include this show in my top ten.
Rafael's attitude is understandable. People who come from another country and work hard to achieve don't appreciate charity. And Cubans seem to be more conservative politically than Spanish-speaking people from other countries, so someone with that attitude will take even more pride in achieving things on his own. I'm glad he came around on the birthday celebration I'd rather not try to spell.
Naturally, I didn't like most of the music (Natalie is 15, after all) but I did like the music for the video of the parents. I also liked the music when Lewis was on his date.
Vanessa has come a really long way. I thought surely in the first couple of episodes she would end up as a nasty character, but she's so much more than that. And she came through for Mateo, and I think his career will be successful.
Lewis' boyfriend is quite caring. Still, I could have done without most of Lewis' scenes. But it was nice to see Noa as such a caring person.
Plus Noa looked hot.

I read the bad news yesterday. greensboro.com/entertainment/article_ea2631f0-5b43-11eb-88b3-6f5e8f42cfc4.htmlSo I went ahead and watched even though my usual practice has been to wait as long as possible when the episode is the last one and there will never be another. None of those children are going to be around for the baking, but the reason to keep the bakery would be to keep the community as it is and not have just another chain. And all that work that has been done! I wanted to see Noa and Daniel together and that was quite a sequence of events in the airport. I didn't get a good look at Lewis' "new" shoes. I know Vanessa "slept" with the producer but ... considering what they were wearing, I think they did do more than sleep. I was hoping this would be a limited series that wrapped everything up, but we were left with a cliffhanger.
