Bridget: Any scoop on Misha Collins' return to Supernatural? I'm counting down the days!
You and us both, sister! We asked Jared Padalecki for the scoop on Collins' return when we sat down with him for some french fries. "He doesn't come back as Castiel per say. When he and the boys see each other, it's not like, 'Oh, Sam and Dean!' 'Oh, Castiel!' It's amnesia of sorts," he teases. "He's still got great powers and we seek him out because we have an inkling that something's going on. I think Castiel, like Bobby (Jim Beaver), they can't come back as the good ol' Castiel and the good ol' Bobby because the audience starts to not take seriously what's going on." Word, Padalecki. Word.

I'm waiting to see what happens. I'm encouraged that he is 'Not Cas'. So far they've handled his appearances well and I'm assuming they will continue. I'm not sure what it means about him having powers but not cas. Leviathan?  |

THE PART ABOUT HIM NOT BEING CAS BUT STILL HAVING 'GREAT POWERS', HAS ME THINKING THAT IT COULD BE GOD OR ANOTHER POWERFUL BEING USING THE GUISE OF CASTIEL. IT WOULD BE FAMILIAR TO THE BOYS, WHICH I'M GUESSING IS WHAT NOTCAS WAS GOING FOR. IN ANOTHER SPOILER, IT WAS SAID THAT NOTCAS WANTS TO HELP THE BOYS BUT DEAN HAS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH TRUSTING THE FORM OF THE PERSON WHO SPED UP THE BREAKING OF HIS BROTHER'S WALL. MAYBE NOTCAS IS MEANT TO GET DEAN TO FINALLY FACE THOSE INNER MOST ISSUES THAT HE'S BEEN DODGING FOR QUITE AWHILE NOW. EVEN GHOST ELLEN MADE MENTION OF DEAN NEEDING TO TELL SOMEBODY HOW BAD "IT" REALLY IS. PERHAPS THE "IT" WASNT REFERING TO DEAN GANKING THE KITSUNE OR HIS TELLING SAM THAT HE'S BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH TRUST SINCE CASTIEL'S BETRAYAL. MAYBE "IT" IS SOMETHING HAVING TO DO WITH THE LEVIATHANS OR DEAN HIMSELF?  |

you know i thought of him being God too..cuz of the last line of this interview that jared gave recently..
How does he like this new version?
J.P.: Fine. Sam never had anything against Castiel, really. He just felt Castiel should do the right thing that he could do, and that’s sort of, unfortunately, Castiel’s demise. Because as a story, if you have a magic button that you can push to solve all of the problems, then the audience gets sick of pushing the magic button, so you have to get rid of the button. So though Jared loves Misha, and the fans and the story love Castiel, you can’t be friends with God!…The situations lose their gravity.
it's the "can't be friends with God!" part...so i don't know
