Just as a precaution, I've been saving early. I didn't remember to include the CBS Friday numbers yet.

I can already make some observations and give explanations. This site didn't bother this week to give any numbers for any of NBC's Sunday pre-game shows, and does anyone really care? I could go look for preliminary numbers but they wouldn't mean much, seeing as how they're listed for each hour or sometimes each half-hour, and NBC traditionally doesn't show the numbers divided up that way.

Also, for some odd reason CBS and Fox both had late games. The site shows the number for the entire game, not the last few minutes that happened after 7:00. "60 Minutes" still seems to benefit even though the lead-in got a lower number.

And once again, ABC's competition shows start out high but go "Lower! Lower!" Much lower in the last hour, and this time there's no tribute to a competition show host.

I saved it a second time and six people had already looked at it. I guess they know my routine.

Because of the holiday, I'll be earlier next week.

I went ahead and included the preliminary numbers for NBC's pre-game shows. Also, a reminder that Fox has two pre-game shows on Thursday but the first one isn't in prime time, except for the last seven minutes.

"Shark Tank" is back to normal in its normal slot.

"Next" will be what Fox is looking for to fill that slot.

"Country Strong" looks weak to me. It has been my experience that whatever they are giving awards for, even though it got high numbers, it ain't country.

The CW continues to struggle and even its reliable Monday schedule doesn't quite measure up.

I know NBC is happy Chicago Wednesdays are back.
