Before I get to Sunday night's numbers, I have this which I found on another site. I can't prove it's true (even for the years I have done this) without doing a lot of work. I don't think it is. I did not post the ratings with three digits beyond the decimal, which is what the sites I get the numbers from have, and even if I could figure out which week and which show, is the web page still even up? However, this is pretty close to true. It might be true for a new episode of a scripted series on a broadcast network.

As for a show getting a 0 with 18-49, that has happened a lot.

The numbers for The Olympics are surprisingly low. I would have the thought the Opening Ceremonies would have gotten the highest numbers/

I find it strange Fox wants to show any sports other than baseball during The Olympics. Look at how poorly they did trying to do that. Soccer doesn't attract a lot of viewers in this country.

"Walker" came very close to getting its best number with one digit beyond the decimal in weeks. "Superman" was off slightly but still performed well."Kung Fu" and "The Flash" had their finales. So did "All American" which was up slightly. Other than those, The CW is In the Dark.

"Love Island" mostly did the same or worse but was up slightly once.

Only one NBA game this week and it actually best the Opening Ceremonies.

Even the finale of "Good Girls" couldn't improve their numbers.

The site didn't call it "Crimetime" but it's traditional to call a Saturday CBS rerun of a crime show by that name. Ratings like that, though, are not traditional. I was surprised "Smackdown" didn't really lose any viewers but it is an event, not a ceremony.

I think Nature has quit calling. I'm tempted to say the celebrity renovations are secret, but the numbers still aren't that bad.

I had no final number for Fox's Sunday soccer coverage so I posted the preliminary number. It's just for the first 30 minutes of prime time.

Now it may be true that "Dead Pixels" didn't do as poorly as the headline I linked to said, but I took a sneak peek at next week. As some of you know, these ratings used to be Monday-Sunday but for several weeks there were no numbers for Saturday, preliminary or otherwise. So I now make it a practice to go Sunday-Saturday and you have to wait another week for the previous Sunday.

This week, I do believe "Dead Pixels" has set a record. I don't recall ever posting a 0.1. Maybe I did. On the site it says .112 and that is UP from the preliminary number.

I discovered a major omission from last week. Someone who likes "Legends of Tomorrow" probably noticed it. I had the show listed in the main list but not the CW list. Fixed now.

Back next week. I can already say The Olympics got a 16.9 Sunday night.
