It's that time again.

The CW improved slightly on Saturday. I guess people tried "Would I Lie to You?" and then they decided they didn't like it, while before they weren't even trying it. But what are they thinking on Fridays? They had it figured out and then they bring back shows that weren't performing at all.

ABC decided a marathon of a show that's not doing well was a good idea. It wasn't.

Things are pretty bad when a weather delay gets more viewers than almost everything else. I would say NBC is glad to have the NFL back, but these aren't great numbers. Also, the real games are a month away and only those get the big numbers. Actually, LOTS of men watched, and the game was number one for the night even with women. "Big Brother" was the top show for the night other than the game and related programming (tied for second with women, which is strange) except with seniors who like game shows.

On a sports-related note, only one baseball broadcast was shown for Fox on Saturday.

"Big Brother" got more normal numbers on Wednesday, way in front except with seniors who for some odd reason like "country" music. Isn't it true what "CMA Fest" offers isn't really country? And don't seniors like country?

I have a theory about "Chicago PD" but it doesn't really work because it doesn't happen every week. Fewer people watched that show because after two hours of Chicago, some people are tired of it. But finally, maybe more of those who didn't watch the first time around watched the rerun.

Last week's numbers had one show out of order alphabetically. Fixed now.

New mystery to be decoded: Who stole our viewers? And since that show also seems to be about the paranormal, the phenomenon has affected the other show. No, the first one wasn't a rerun. "The Flash" also hit a new low.

I haven't seen Sunday yet but so far this is the worst week for The CW I can ever remember. So many reruns. But the finale of "Tom Swift" was not a rerun and the second-worst performance when you see all three digits beyond the decimal was a new "Wellington Paranormal".

My FBI theory didn't work this week.

As usual, "The Bachelorette" was way out in front for the night except with men (though still number one with them) and seniors who watch CBS. With women you can't even see second place from here.

I was wrong. The CW's numbers could actually get worse. For a new episode of "Riverdale", when you see all three digits, there were fewer viewers than the new "Wellington" but at least there were more than for the "Wellington" rerun. These are seriously bad numbers. At least it was the season finale.

Great strategy for ABC on Sunday. "Pyramid" is way up after swapping places with the show that appears to be nearing its "Final Straw".

With no racing lead in, such as it was, Fox was down for all of Sunday night.

CBS got back its "NCIS: LA" viewers by changing the lead-in.

And in case some of you are wondering why these Sunday numbers are a week old, it may have been last summer when I wasn't getting new information from the site I use now (which I was using for a long time until that happened) and none of the other sites were providing Saturday numbers. I decided Sunday-Friday made more sense than Monday-Friday and the next Sunday. I can't switch to the old way of doing it now. I just checked, though, and reruns of funny animal videos do much better than new "Riverdale", though the magic didn't work for Penn & Teller. And "Family Game Fight" on NBC got off to a really bad start.
