It's that time again.

Saturday is looking better for The CW than it was last week. Not good, but better. Don't know what happened on Friday. A "Penn & Teller" rerun does better, and a new "Whose Line" does worse.

Haven't seen the first night of the NFL Draft yet. Numbers look low for the second night. And you can't say ESPN did better. The number is about the same for them.

Two "Grand Crew" episodes average the number for one. "Dateline" must have been a special one.

I seem to recall another "Fast and Furious" movie is about to be released. That's the only possible explanation, because the number of viewers is pathetic.

Okay, there's more to the NFL Draft than I thought. ESPN2 had just over half the viewers that ESPN had, and NFL Network also added some. So the total number of viewers on the second night was around 8 million.

For the first night, ESPN had 5.6 million more viewers and NFL Network 1.6. So that's over 11 million.

It looks like the number one show for the week will be Carol Burnett's 90th birthday celebration, unless "60 Minutes" or one of the CBS crime shows does better than last week. And as one would expect, the number of seniors watching was HUUUGE. Or to quote the commentary, "far and away the highest-rated show of the night in the 50+ demo", a big deal considering the commentary is almost always just about the 18-49.

The CW shows expected to do well were gone for too long. Worse yet, "100 Days to Indy" started out with a 1 as the first digit in the total number of viewers. That is BAD. That's not all. "Riverdale" did worse than that.

I had to fix last week's, but surely no one thought a Fox episode on its normal night would be getting CW numbers.

I read something unbelievable. "9-1-1" is the most popular show in total viewers on Fox and it was cancelled. Another network picked it up, but this can't be happening. What does a series have to do not to be cancelled? "Magnum, PI" was one of the top CBS shows and now it's doing mediocre numbers on NBC when not preceded by another crime show. Oh, wait. "Dateline" is about real crime.

"Lopez v. Lopez" was moved and is doing worse than it was, and worse than what it replaced. Meanwhile, "Night Court" continues its slide.

Look who is on top this week for The CW! Okay, it's tied and wins for being alphabetically first. With all three digits beyond the decimal, the football player with no super powers is beaten by Superman.

I have no idea what's going on with NASCAR. The race itself had 4.6 million viewers starting at 3:22. No explanation for what happened at 7:01, and then a big drop three minutes later. I assume both of those were post-race shows. The show that was joined in progress did better with a lead-in. Speaking of which, "AFV" got a benefit from the NBA game which had 7.5 million viewers but still didn't beat Carol Burnett for top show of the week (not counting the NFL Draft which got its numbers from four different networks). But the game didn't count since it was over before prime time. The number of men watching was WAAAAAY more than the number of seniors watching Carol. I don't know what any of those numbers mean. This past Sunday's game did get more viewers than Carol, but not in prime time either and my lists run from Sunday through Saturday, not Monday through Sunday. Carol got a second airing so add that to the first one and that's more viewers than the game.

The LPGA ran over and "Dateline" had way fewer viewers than normal after a late start. One would never known "Magnum" had its finale, and that was not mentioned in the commentary and the episode wasn't labelled accordingly.
