One black cat crossed the street and I saw either that cat chasing the other, or the other chasing that cat.
And I think once since I was here last, Britney showed up on my back porch and meowed.

Britney stayed in her yard today. I did close the door while getting out the trunk for my decorations, though not while putting it away.

This morning, I almost didn't get the door closed when I got out my rake. But I realized this in time, and then Britney dashed over from next door. She didn't got up to the door, though. I saw a dozen cats yesterday! The first one may have been one of the last three. The convenience store/gas station has regular gas for $2.82, so that tells you something right there. When I passed the place on the way home, three cats and a woman were sitting there. I passed a fourth time because fire trucks and cops were blocking the road and I had to take a very curvy detour. I considered asking the woman if she was just going to hang out there with the cats, would she please tell people not to take that road. I didn't see Banjo, but there was a tuxedo cat in Banjo's yard who didn't seem pleased about being told how pretty it was. I saw four other cats on that same street, and two on the next street. Plus one more, really thin, just before I finished my walk. Edit: Now that was a big mistake. Yesterday I saw a huge gray and white cat, bigger than some dogs, at Banjo's house. I can't remember now what Banjo looked like. It's in the CW cat thread, which of course no longer exists. And no one was outside to tell me if that was Banjo. I saw a tuxedo cat next door. And two more cats at the same house on the same street. And another cat at the former gas station/convenience store that is still for sale and still shows gas at $2.80. Edit: I have mentioned these cats before.

I've mentioned him many times, but hadn't gotten a picture of him. He's a little camera shy. But caught him today trying to catch some rays -- Sambo:

As I raked, Britney hopped the fence and ran into my yard. As I walked outside to get my exercise, there was Britney meowing. As I passed the house across the street, there was Mommy, also meowing.

Now I can't remember whether it was today or yesterday, but I saw a cat I've never seen before.

Britney was right at my back door when I went out this morning after breakfast. I saw her coming over as I put away my rake.

I was getting the paper Sunday. A squirrel crossed the street. Britney came along behind. She acted like she was about to pounce. The squirrel didn't care. Walked right past her. She did nothing.
The black and white cat is all grown up and I saw it in the doorway.

I had a visit from Britney today, but nothing significant.
Because the ramp was icy, I did have a hard time getting my rake and wheelbarrow out, and it was cold enough I needed the gloves for which I say, "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit." They did fit better today for some reason. They are not the style I bought at a dollar store which has closed, since I had to go to another dollar store to get them.
Actually, none of that has nayhting to do with closing the door to keep Britney out.

That cat in the snow is cute. He probably wondered what type of creature the snow is.

The woman next door just has to bundle up to go out and smoke even today. I think I saw Britney once today. No kitties at Kitty City. I didn't walk south so I didn't see the other kitty.

I wish my cat would shut up in the morning. He hasn't not been fed..........ever. Can't I just sleep in for a little bit?

I saw Britney for the first time in a month, but she didn't see me. I wonder if she missed me?

Britney saw me this morning, but she didn't seem to like me. She was in my back yard near the porch, where I dump paper towels and stuff. She appeared to have snacked on what I dumped.
I also saw the woman smoking this morning. That's for the first time in a month.
Oh, and Britney hopped the fence even though one of the dogs was barking right where she landed, and she headed for the back porch because if the woman is smoking that means FOOD.

I'm leaving now, but I just heard a sound I normally only hear at night. There are a bunch of cats in my front yard.
Okay, I got up to look and only saw one. A pretty white and tan cat washing itself.

Those were some cute kitties. It was super funny when the toddler tried to toss the cat into the pool and fell in himself. Served him right. The final tiny little kitty was so precious and silly.

I still haven't figured out how the cat managed to stay out of the pool while the kid fell in!?! Cats can be amazing acrobats. Or acrocats...

Nothing to report from my neighbors.
I've been meaning to say the neighbors who let me borrow a camera, which I have never used for Britney because she never stays around long enough to be photogrpahed, have one of these pickup trucks with tires so big that if the tires were removed, the part of the pickup that would be left would be the same height as the tires.

I had a little visitor Saturday morning as I unloaded groceries.
One day this week I heard "Mow! Mow! Mow!" for the longest time outside my front door. I never did go look.
This morning I saw a big dark gray cat when I walked.

This morning I raked leaves for the first time since the incident. I didn't see much point in it and I didn't want to do too much, but the front yard would look better.
I wasn't sure the door needed closing. But Britney hopped the fence and looked like she was excited to come over. Then she lost her enthusiasm but I found her on the ladder when I got through.
She was also on the back porch later.
And I had a little visitor as I unloaded groceries Saturday.

I forgot to mention that on Monday when I opened the door and took out the rake for the first time since I fell, there were still leaves in the wheelbarrow.
The front yard's looking better. I don't think anyone will really care about the back. I start mowing soon, though others have started. I don't think it needs doing yet in my yard but someone needs to do the annual maintenance. I hope I can start it given my situation.
As usual, Britney showed up outside the door, which I made sure to close.

I raked this morning and of course, Britney showed up sniffing at the door.
The kitty next door is all grown up but rarely outside. I would call the coloring calico except I think there has to be some brown or orange.
