Do you like Jason Aldean? I love his song "Dirt Road Anthem" and I like Zac Brown Band especially their "Colder Weather" song even though it is sad If you are asking me this, "The Truth" from Jason and "No Hurry" from the Zac Brown Band are my most favorite songs from the two. God bless you and Jason and the ZBB always!!! Holly

Go here to listen to Alison Krauss & Union Station give their take on the theme music to The Simpsons TV show which was played at the beginning of tonight's episode of the show! God bless you and AKUS always!!! Holly (a fan of AKUS since 1994) It wasn't at the beginning. It was after they got run out of town and the opening credits were redone in the middle. It was also done for the closing credits. Sounded good.

Do you like Jason Aldean? Not hardly. Does anyone watch "Smash"? Katharine McPhee sang "Redneck Woman" at a karaoke club when she went home for a baby shower. It was great! Of course, I like the Broadway music they do on that show too.

What happened to real talent? Unfortunately it seems now a days to become a country singer all you need is a guitar and a HALF (And I'm being generous even saying that) decent voice.

I think Reba McEntire is on "Who Do You Think You Are?" tonight. I don't have time to watch, but I might tape what's on at the same time if I think of it.
It's a show where celebrities learn about their family history. 8:00 on NBC. That's Eastern.

^^^ The real name of that song is "Long Way To Go". Go here and here for some rather alarming news concerning Kenny Chesney. God bless you and him always!!! Holly For some reason, this line in the first story seemed funny to me, "She had reportedly been drinking wine and smoking cigarettes."

It's a show where celebrities learn about their family history. 8:00 on NBC. That's Eastern. She's named for her grandmother Reba Brassfield. Her ancestors came from North Carolina, where one owned land in Raleigh as well as 10 slaves. That upset Reba. He even sold a 3-year-old. Then she discovered the first Brassfield from England was an indentured servant whose mother had died. Sending a 9-year-old to America was the best way to help him move up in life, since in England you couldn't just buy land.

We got a new country station in my area this week.
If you don't live close to the tower (and I don't) you can't hear it at night.
But it's the good stuff.

We had a morning DJ around here who tried showing videos. I'm guessing he was the only one who could see them. The TV was there in the studio. That was before the Internet had such capabilities. Or any capabilities unless you were Steve Urkel.

Oh yes i remember Steve Urkel well, I had a classmate who had glasses like he did at that age, he was such a nice kid, people used to tease me and call him my boyfriend but i didn't let it bother me, he was my friend and that's all that mattered

^^^ The guy who played Steve is going to be on Dancing With The Stars this coming Monday! I pray that he does well on the show. No one in country music is going to be dancing this time. I wonder if Sara Evans will ever come back for another round since she had to leave in the middle of the round that she was a part of in late 2006. God bless you and her and Jaleel White (Steve) always!!! Holly

^^^ Thank you for sharing that with me! I didn't know that he was doing anything right now. To me, they couldn't have picked a better person to play Carl on Family Matters! God bless you and him always!!! Holly P.S. He did an awesome job on the season 2 finale episode when Carl mourned for a man that he didn't save from being shot during a hostage situation.

Now to get back on topic.
I finally saw The Grammys on the VHS tape I recorded them on. Taylor Swift's band looked and sounded like a bunch of hicks, which is a good thing. And if she was actually singing, she seemed to be doing better than in the past. But it's really nice to see her doing country music for a change. Normally, if you didn't know she was regarded as country, you wouldn't be able to tell.
Even The Band Perry sounded country. And Glen Campbell has always been about as pop as Taylor Swift, though I guess "Gentle on My Mind" passes for country. And "Southern Nights", which I thought was pop when I first heard it, does have a banjo. But the difference is I always liked Glen Campbell.
