I just read that Alison Krauss will be singing a duet with Don Williams on his next album named And So It Goes which will be in the stores on June 19th! The name of their song is "I Just Come Here For The Music". God bless you and them always!!! Holly (a fan of Alison since 1994) I heard Don Williams on the radio the other day. I thought the name of the song was "I Believe in Love" but maybe it was "I Believe in You" because that's the name of a song that's listed.

I watched a family movie Saturday on my CW station called "Tommy and the Cool Mule". It has lots of country music in it. Real country, and the teenagers like it! Some of it actually more like bluegrass, and the young people are dancing to it.

Hopefully at least one acknowledgment of him will be made at the ACM awards this Sunday night. Hopefully. He wasn't mentioned on the classic country station I was listening to yesterday. The DJ was likely national, as is the case most of the time with most stations with DJs that I have listened to in recent years. He did say it was Reba's 57th birthday. That's the sort of thing he could record in advance, and some of the national networks have done it that way. It could be that he had already mentioned Earl Scruggs. I wondered if one of my Facebook friends named Scruggs who I went to high school with knew. She didn't say whether she was related, at least while I was still signed in to Facebook, but there was a great big photo of her holding a banjo. And lots of comments about the man.

One song that I can't get out of my head these days is "For the Good Times" That is a good song. Don't know how anyone can call it country, but I've heard that Ray Price did do some songs that actually sounded country.

Country songs Chuck Lorre (that's the man in charge of "Two and a Half Men") would like to write:
The pink and green are making me blue
Last night I dreamed you came back (and I woke up screaming)
Lord, make me the man my dog thinks I am
I love you, I'm stupid
If two of us are the same, one of us is unnecessary
My momma always told me to do what I love (so I joined the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms)
The problem with gettin' older, is I can't remember which lie I told her
Your wife don't love me no more
I came to on you
A good excuse for bad behavior
The tattoo I regret

On "Raising Hope" this week, Jimmy finds out Sabrina wears glasses. They are actually very large, but they remind me of the ones Taylor Swift wore in that one video where she was in the marching band. And those look good on her. I wonder if she actually does need glasses? Sabrina, of course, wears contacts most of the time.

Which song is it that has Romeo and Juliet in it? I heard it the other night and it definitely wasn't country. Is there a pop version of that song or is it really that bad?
A couple on "GCB" are searching for a surrogate to carry their child. the wife just doesn't want to be inconvenienced. They can't find anyone perfect since Taylor Swift is not from Texas. They rejected one girl just for being an Obama supporter.

"Love Story" is the Romeo and Juliet one and the other one with the marching band is "You belong with me" and she really doesn't need glasses, she just did it as part of the role she played in the video

It is Taylor Swift's "Love Story" song and the banjo is the first thing you hear at the beginning of country labeled copy. God bless you and her always!!! Holly P.S. A fiddle plays in the middle of the country labeled copy too. So if there is a country labeled copy that implies there is a pop copy?

She looks good with those glasses. It's "You Belong TO Me" I like, by Jo Staffford and also by The Duprees. On another site I commented how a radio station played The Duprees and Carly Simon right together and the DJ didn't bother to comment on the fact that the computer had decided to play two songs with the same title right together. I don't care for the Carly Simon song. One response I got was that Taylor Swift had a hit song with a similar title.

Taylor Swift's version of Love Story is different from the Andy Williams and Henry Mancini versions I know they're different songs. I just had to say it. I probably like Francis Lai's version. The movie was on one local station--possibly the CW station--not long ago. It was depressing. But what music!

So if there is a country labeled copy that implies there is a pop copy? Yeah. I have heard how a few of her songs sound on the AC stations and the only thing that never changed is her vocal track. God bless you and Taylor always!!! Holly

My usual pop radio station had a subsitute DJ and that usually means I don't get the music I want.
But I was in the town where the new classic country station is, and Waylon and Willie, or possibly just Willie, were doing "Whiskey River".
Now that's the good stuff!

I saw Scotty McCreery on "Hart of Dixie" Monday.
His performance was "real country", though I've heard a lot of vocalists who manage to sound country while their instruments sound like rock (as opposed to rockabilly, which is what Elvis did), which is not a good combination.

Go here to read about the current country controversy concerning Eric Church. God bless you and him always!!! Holly P.S. I agree with what he was trying to say, but to me, he needs to work on how he shares his feelings. In my opinion, the way that you deliver anything is what can make all of the difference.

I heard Suzy Bogguss on "A Prairie Home Companion". I don't listen to that entire show, but I do hear parts of it from time to time.
My Facebook friend and high school classmate who is related to Earl Scruggs went to an Alison Krauss concert.
