Can everyone just calm down? Some people don't like gay storylines, some people consider an angel being sexual in any way to be blasphemous, some people are against the assertion that everyone on the planet is gay, they just don't want to admit it, and others are deeply disturbed by depictions of incestuous relationships. Other people see ships imaginative and harmless. Dean and Castiel are unrelated adults. Nothing is actually shown or described, so people that have a problem with it need to get a grip. Personally, I object to having to read spoilers (which I would otherwise avoid) because grown people on a forum that I work on can't have a rational discussion. Imaginative is one way to describe it. But even though nothing is shown on screen, some fans are hardcore about it to the point where they can't enjoy an episode because it's not going the way the want it to do. Fiction writing is one thing, but you can't base fiction writing to what is actually written in to the show. Some fans even admitted that when watching the show they were disappointed that Cas and Dean weren't together, because in ficton writing they are written that way. That is where I am tyring to go with this. I don't care if Dean is gay, but Dean isn't written that way on the show and never has. He has always been shown as a hetro man. To shift his character to all of a sudden being a gay man for an angel is a complete turnoff because it would be like "Where did that come from" I think most fans should get a grip in realizing Cas is an Angel of God who came to earth to protect Sam and Dean. He has served his purpose, but the writers won't let him go because fans (SOME NOT ALL) keep persisting that they keep him. It's ruining the story of the show IMO

ANYWAY...I think the title is a Bourne Identity reference. It seems to suggest that Cas has amnesia. Or that Sam does. And since he's one of the stars of the show I'd go with Sam. Even Dean, since you know, he's the other star of the show. I agree Benson that the title is probably about Sam, or probably about both Sam and Cas.

I can see that, puppy. Maybe it'll be like unforgiven? How so? My theory is that Sam will be suffering from the many parts of Sam that we saw at the end of season 6. Maybe those parts, the souless Sam, the fragile Sam, etc are presented in episode 17 and Sam will be lost in the mist of these parts of him. Maybe that is part of the reason why he gets put in the Asylum.

going by all the interviews and spoilers i have read, epi 17 is suppose to focus primarily on sam's complete mental breakdown. while 'born again', could be a referance to cas having amnesia, it was mentioned by jared that cas wants to help the boys. to me, this implies that 'castiel' has at least, basic knowledge of what happened prior to his 'death'. it was also mentioned that this 'castiel' is new and different but still with great power. this is what has me thinking that 'castiel' may be god or something created by god, to get dean to overcome his inner most turmoil (which jared said that dean was going to face, with castiel's appearence). i think both boys are being faced with their inner most fears, in order to prep them for the upcoming battle with the leviathan. i think 'castiel' will be just one of many tools utilized to prep the boys. of course, that's just my take on things

I just want both brothers to be at the upfront. I think Cas, being somebody that Dean had besides his brother and other hunters, who understood him on some level, was able to provide Dean with something that not even Sam could. Having that taken away from him was probably hard, and than getting him back will probably change something in Dean because he will see Cas, but it will be a new Cas that I am not sure he would be able to identify with and accept.

Sam got the memories back from when he was Soulless Sam. This is like Jason Bourne coming to and finding out he is an assassin. In the movies, that character suffered nighmares and such for years. On top of that, there are the Hell Sam memories of being tortured in the cage. This is an interesting take, Puppy. Very likely.
