Dishwasher Pods? That is odd. Cleaning supplies are still hard to come by. We were trying to find Vitamin C. Finally ordered it from Ebay.
It has been snowing all day. It's just on the side of warm enough that the roads are just wet.
Next week I don't work. I will be using vacation to cover it. I was told I could furlough, but then I work again the week after. So, I decided to use vacation.

I wish Irish would show up. Just to let us know she's okay.

I guess with everyone being home more, there are more dishes to be done than usual?
We had hail and snow yesterday, but nothing stuck. After the storm cleared, the streets were all "foggy," I wish I'd gotten a picture or video, very cool.
I'm glad you're still able to work.
It's been a while since she was here. Hopefully she is doing ok.

I'm not working this week. It will be interesting to see how I fill in the time.
I could clean house, but who wants to do that. Besides, that would only fill in a few hours and then what?
I'm still not watching television.

It's going to be warm enough here this week to actually be outside. Is the weather going to be decent in Michigan? Maybe get outside and play in the garden a bit?
I'm terrible at filling my time right now. I spend most of my time when I'm not "working" on social media and even though I know its terrible, I can't stop myself! I have been doing a little bit of reading, mostly fun stuff and health books. I'm trying to plan ALL my meals better so I don't just keep eating junk for breakfast and lunch.
I needed a break this weekend, so Kevin took the family to the cabin and I stayed home alone all weekend. I didn't feel the need to be productive and it was good. I watched the first 2 seasons of New Girl on netflix. I ordered all my meals through door dash (to help local, small restaurants). I did a tiny bit of cleaning and read a little. Mostly I sat in one chair and cuddled with the cat while watching TV. It was great, and now that it's Monday, I feel like getting back into things and getting something accomplished.
Maybe try watching an old TV show that you know you're going to love and don't have to put any energy in to paying attention to.

Merr, that sounds like a great weekend.
I watched Shazam and Aquaman yesterday. Free HBO. Shazam bored me, but I liked Aquaman. I liked the new take on what was always a somewhat flavorless character.
I have become Honey's science experiment. He has convinced me to take high doses of vitamins and supplements. He also bought a juicer and I'm consuming copious amounts of carrot juice. I'm drinking caffeine-free coffee now. We'll see how it goes. I've been doing this for just over a month now. I swear I smell like carrots, but he promises that I don't.
I'm doing yoga once a day. Just a 30 minute version, anything longer and I may not keep doing it. Also, trying my hand at meditation. That isn't going so well. I have a difficult time shutting the brain off, but I'll keep trying.
We're having a rotating weather pattern this morning. It's been snowing, then sunny, very windy throughout.

I loved Shazam! But thought Aquaman was only so-so. It was definitely better than expected for a movie that takes place in the water so much. Is there a purpose to the science experiment? Or just overall feeling better? Have you noticed anything in the last month? It's nice that he's trying to take care of you. I'm starting yoga too! Just this week though, so I've barely done any. I'm super inflexible and my lower back is always messed up. I'm excited to see what I can do with it on a regular basis. I rotate that with some Jillian Michaels workouts. It's sad how out of shape I've let myself get. I think sometime this week I'm going to get the patio furniture all put back out and MAYBE, we can eat on the deck this week. We should be around 60-65 every day and it looks like we might hit 70 in the next 7 days!!

The yoga is helping. I've been having issues with my shoulders/upper arms (pain and tightness). The yoga has helped loosen it up. I'll keep working on the meditation. I'm not good at relaxing by nature, but it would do me good.
The weather is overcast and cool. It snowed/rained overnight. At some point it will warm up. It's rule-of-thumb around here, don't plant until after Mother's Day. I'm looking forward to putting out herbs. I have several started from seed in the windows. Alex keeps getting up chew on the Cilantro. Guess he's in the mood for Mexican flavors.

It's raining here today but the high is still 60. We are going to hit 80 next week! I did get my patio furniture all out and ready to go, but we haven't eaten outside yet. My kids hate it when I make them eat outside. They are all super scared of bees/wasps and they like to come around when there is food.
I feel like I've had a pretty productive week, but it seems like I could have always done more. I'm feeling lazy today because of the rain though. *crosses fingers*
I'm glad the yoga is helping. I might be imagining things, but I feel like it might already be helping me a bit.
Are you home alone or is Marc home now too?

Library story!
This is the most wonderful thing that has happened in a long time.
I accidentally clicked on the wrong thing when reading text of newspapers and found the actual newspaper. I have this for most of the newspapers I look at when at libraries. So now I don't have to worry about catching up when libraries reopen or the oldest newspapers being gone. Regardless of what I am able to look at, whether it's the web site or a resource with the text of most articles, nothing has it all except the real paper. This is a problem, though, since it takes so much longer than looking at real newspapers, and I don't have any way to print photos that I see until I get back to a library with a printer and someone can tell me how.
Even better is the fact I can now see the newspaper I spend so much time looking at when I'm at the beach. I can use the time for other things.

I checked today and two of the smaller newspapers I look at are not available in the form that lets me see the actual newspaper on the computer. There's a third smaller paper I need to check too. In two of the cases I might be able to get the library to let me see them.

Working from home this week. It's supposed to be nearly 70° today.
Feeling antsy, but I guess we all are. Our governor extended the stay-at-home until mid-May. Even then, I'll still work from home. It will be busier though, once our customers start working again. It will be interesting to see how this turns out. I hope people stay sensible.
Kyle, glad to see you pleased.

You survived your week off!!
My sister's husband gets to open back up May 4th, he's a dentist. They are very much looking forward to it, but I'm sure things there will have to be a lot different than before.

LOL. Yes, I did. My Kindle is working overtime.
Everything we do in our lives will be different. This isn't going away, so we'll need to adapt. A vaccine would be great, but who knows if or when that can happen.
It's dreary/rainy today. I LIKE it. I find the rain relaxing.

I hope that this whole thing doesn't kill movie theaters altogether. I can't wait to get to go see a movie in the theater again.
We are warm and sunny all week. I need to get outside and do some work, like spraying weeds and cleaning up sticks/leaves from the fall.
Did you read anything worth recommending?

Hopefully not. It's going to be a slow start, and people will need to be smart, but it can work. It would be a shame to see theaters close.
No, no recommendations. I've been reading British mysteries. I have few books that I need to get to, that came recommended. I did read, "Where the Crawdads sing", a few months ago. This I would highly recommend. I couldn't put it down.

Like Agatha Christie? I haven't read her in a long time. I should add her to my list. Most of what I read are free books from amazon. I get an email every month with about 6 books that are new I think and I can download 1 to my kindle for free. I'm not sure if its a Prime thing or because I do the Kindle Unlimited. I should really figure out how to rent e books from the library.

No, not Agatha Christie, although I did pull out "Death at the Vicarage" and read it.
More modern, or later anyway; Elizabeth George, Martha Grimes, P.D. James, Faith Martin, etc. I like the moodiness of British atmosphere.
I also like the Sue Grafton series, A is for Alibi..., but she recently passed and there will not be a Z.
This all sounds like easy reading.
I'm having coffee and thinking about the day ahead.

So, did a bit of work but felt like doing something else. I made meatballs. They're in the oven right now. Easy fix, and can freeze some for later. Probably make meatball subs for dinner. There feel like I did something. LOL. Wait. I'll do yoga.

I had a meatball sub for lunch today! Ordered in from Portillos, a place down the street. It's been gross and wet for the past three days! Been working from home and will continue to until at least end of May (!!!) I'm very fortunate to have a great employer who really seems to be taking care of us. (hopefully I didn't jinx myself!)

It is rainy here too, how ironic!
Some cool British mystery novels are by M.C. Beaton the Agatha Raisin ones, those are hilariously good!

Do you miss your office Maze or are you someone who is liking working from home? I feel like you need to be around people to be happy. Thanks for the recommendations avp. I'm glad the weather has been nice this week. We had a storm blow in last night so today is cooler than the rest of the week, but still nice enough to be outside and getting fresh air!

Hello Merr and Friends! Happy Friday! Merr, I do miss commuting and going into my office. For the reasons you just explained. I miss my friends on the train and in the office, and I miss the personal contact. Im staying connected through ZOOM and other platforms, but I really miss the actual day-to-day of going into work and seeing people.

Hello Kittens.
How's it going?
I have read the first three books in the Agatha Raisin's series. Agatha is a little bit to take at times. She has no filter on her mouth and basically a jealous personality, however she can be generous.
Was out walking everyday. It's been good. The weather has turned a bit chilly today. Too early for flowers yet. We have frost forecasted nearly all week. I am thinking of reducing significantly the amount of flowers I put out this year. I get more satisfaction out of herbs and vegetables. I find it fun to pick cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.

I might try spinach as I've been eating a lot of it this year. Definitely tomatoes. Store bought ones are just never as good. Friday was the first day that restaurants that wanted to open back up did. They can only be at 50% capacity and they have to make sure the tables are 6 ft apart. We didn't plan on it, but we stopped at 5 guys before heading to the cabin and since we were able to, we ate in the restaurant instead of in the car. I've got to find a face mask this week because I need to go to Costco and they are requiring masks now.
