TN is becoming the new "place to live."
Two of my co-workers have moved their in their mid-20s for the simple reason of "starting over," and my publisher goes to Nashville for the restaurants!!

That is so cool Tanmi, what part of Tennessee? I don't mind sorting through the times per say but I do mind the tediousness of it. East TN. Mountains near Gatlinburg. I still have family to visit. That's not far from where I go. I've never crossed the border.

He came in Friday afternoon and we went straight to the cabin until Sunday afternoon. He had a great time driving the side by side all around the mountains. He's struggling a bit with the high altitude and is napping more than he does at home. (His dad is 74) He also isn't having to take as much of his diabetes medicine as he normally does and thinks that's great! Yesterday Kevin worked until about 2 and his dad spent most of the morning at the Chevrolet dealership because he had a few things he wanted fixed on his Camaro that he noticed after driving it cross county. Today Kevin only worked until about 11 so his dad entertained himself watching youtube videos. haha They are currently in the shop working on a welding project together. This is a great story! Sounds like Kevin and his dad have a great relationship. Can I ask (gulp?) How old is Kevin's dad? And please tell me it's thirty years older than me... His dad is 74. They get along pretty well now, but not so much when Kevin was growing up.

I agree. Nashville seems to be the hot place to move to right now. I wouldn't mind moving to Nashville...seems like a nice place.

Ah gotcha, I am going to be hopefully be moving to Jackson, TN which is about an hour from Nashville if traffic is good.
I took a few pictures while I was at the bus station back in March. It was one of the few places that still had working pay phones!
I do want to check out the museums there when things start easing up a bit more.

We go when we can and usually spend one or two days looking at houses. It’s a retirement idea, If and when, that comes about. It suits us with the music, museums, close, but not too close to family.

How is everyone today?
It’s alternating between dreary and sunny here in NYC. I don’t mind, it’s interesting. There’s thunder right now. It is different to go through a storm in these tall buildings, surrounded by them, as well.
I’m watching Pioneer Woman in Food Network.
I’ve been losing weight, so I ate from Dunkin Donuts menu today!!!

I stayed home. God, I needed the rest. That job is tiring. POOKIE!!!!! Tell me more about the people who rudely ask for organic flax that's been blessed by a shaman!!!! DARLING!!!! 💋 It's not so much the customers...just a few coworkers that deserve to be buried alive. Oh, and having to wear a damn MASK while working. Makes it soooo hard to breathe. Its ridiculous. Bright side...I'm off today!

We got back from Lake Powell yesterday and right back into the crazy of life. The kids have the dentist today. We have another camping trip that we leave for on Thursday evening for a desert race Kevin is competing in on Saturday. I've to to see how much work I can catch up on in the next few days while also cleaning up Lake Powell and packing for another trip. At this point, I'm glad our trip to Hawaii was cancelled. I hate feeling so behind on everything! I do need to make a trip out to Nebraska before school starts back up though. We still don't know what school is going to look like in the fall. There has been no information about their plans. I'd just like it to go back to normal, but I'm not sure that is possible.

No, I prefer Krispy Kreme, as well. Finding it is much more difficult.
Michigan came out with a plan for schools in fall. They will be in classroom, sitting six feet apart. All in masks. Won’t they have to hire teachers?
Going back to MI tomorrow. Look forward to seeing little Alex. I hope he doesn’t think we deserted him!!😕

There were Dunkin Donuts on every corner in Chicago! We have Krispy Kreme here, but I rarely eat them. We have to drive 30 minutes to a store (though they are available at most gas stations.)
I've heard different things...splitting things in half so half the school goes before lunch and the other half after lunch, but that makes no sense. Everyone will only have had a "half" year of school. Or possibly splitting the kids and going every other day, but this also only gets them "half" a school year. There is no possible way to keep everyone 6 ft apart...we don't have enough teachers or classrooms to make the class sizes small enough to accommodate this. I know they have a difficult task, but I wish that we had some idea of what their school year is actually going to look like.
Our cat, Annie, was very chatty when we got home yesterday. She never bothers us when we close our door and go to bed, but last night she meowed at us a bunch right after going to bed. I'm not sure if she just wanted someone to cuddle or if the fireworks were bothering her.

We had NO public fireworks this year—which meant that fools were blowing off "booms" for the entire past week and well past midnight. Cats sleeping, I'm relaxing and it's almost time for bed...... KABOOM!!! Things shake a little bit and the cats are gone!

And I live here! You can't turn your head without seeing a Dunkin' (which it's now officially called, they dropped the DONUTS) or a Walgreens. Donuts are over-rated. I eat half of one and I'm full... like pancakes.

We got to see a few fireworks while we were at Lake Powell even though they technically weren't allowed.
My animals in the past haven't really been bothered by fireworks. Usually we are allowed to do fireworks from July 2-7, but this year only July 4th and 5th, probably because its really dry. We had a few fires started by them already anyway because people weren't following the rules.

We’re heading home. In Chicago for layover. These layovers are silly. They couldn’t just stop us off in Detroit on the way to Chicago??🥴
We’re flying Southwest. They are still doing the empty middle row.

My brother's girlfriend surprised him with a quick trip to Nebraska to see our family for his 30th birthday and they were supposed to fly SLC to Omaha, but the flight got cancelled and they had to go SLC to Minneapolis and then to Omaha.
I'm glad you get to be home and see your kitty.

I just saw the conversation about fireworks. No one follows rules in MI. They will probably do fireworks all summer. Buttheads.
I love your pet names Maze. I like all our pet names. Annie. People names.
I’m looking forward to seeing Alex. Although, he is still a biter. He’ll let us know if he’s unhappy.

Did you leave him home with someone to check on him or did you send him to a babysitter?

Alex is ANGRY!!😾
He has bitten my face and my arms. I am hiding under covers to avoid his stealth attacks. We are having to close him out of bedroom at night, because he has made me nervous.
Is he treating Marc like this? Hell no!! He follows him like a puppy. He rides around the house in Marc’s shoulders. Apparently blame has been placed at my feet.
