I almost forgot that me and Emily go to Florida on Thursday for her last cheer competition! I wasn't paying attention to the calendar and kept thinking I had another week. I've got 3 days to get ready to go, which is plenty of time. I just won't have time for a lot of work because I've gotten behind on laundry and house cleaning etc that needs to get caught up on. The weather is going to be about 70 and rainy while we are there, which isn't great.

How long are you going to be gone? Where in Florida? Hopefully, you can get some nice weather. It stinks when it's nicer where you live than where you go on a trip.
I watched "Thunder Force" over the weekend. I don't know, but maybe Melissa McCarthy needs to stop making movies her husband writes and directs. I love her and Octavia Spencer and they deserve better.
We have a new chipmunk. Did I already mention that? We're calling him Dale, but he may be renamed to Piglet. He's a tiny little guy. When Rocky the squirrel is eating, he sits by the bowl and eats one nut at a time. The chipmunk fills his cheeks with nuts, runs away and then comes back and refills his cheeks. He does this until all of the nuts are gone. Little piglet.

We leave Thursday AM and get home Monday PM. The actual competition is Saturday/Sunday but we need to be there Friday afternoon and I didn't want to cut it close so we are getting in Thursday. I'm not sure how much time we'll have to do "fun" stuff anyway. The coach wants everyone there to cheer on all the other teams, which makes each day a full day at cheer. But that will be fine if the weather isn't great.
I want to see Thunder Force, but it didn't look great.
You didn't mention the new chipmunk. I'm glad you named him Dale, but he does sound like a little piglet. It's too early in the year to be saving nuts for winter isn't it? haha

I watched a movie over the weekend where one of the main characters was a Mormon girl named Ashley. Actually, she went by 'Shley. It was about three "mean girls" who were the most popular at their school, and the latest trend was to have a "Gay Best Friend" or "G.B.F." (that's actually the movie's name). The two Mormons in the movie weren't all that moral even though they went around pointing out everyone else's sins. 'Shley was always perky and seemed nice, though. Her boyfriend wanted to experiment (see what it was like being gay) before he went on him mission and got married.

Dale is certainly going to be renamed Piglet. He ran off with all of the peanuts this morning, the last we had. I filled the bowl with almonds, in case Rocky showed up. I just walked by the door and Piglet was out there stuffing his cheeks with almonds. Almonds being bigger than peanuts, well, this was a sight.
Is it safe to sit through all of the competitions? Will you be spread out? The virus is going nuts again here in MI.
Kyle, you certainly don't sound like the demographic for that movie. Did you like it?

Kyle definitely doesn't sound like the demographic for that movie. haha I've never heard of it and it doesn't sound like it's any good. I need you to send me pictures of Piglet stuffing his face! It looks like they are doing what the most recent competitions are doing...you can go in and watch JUST the one team you are there to see. They are supposed to have a huge screen outside somewhere to watch the other performances if you'd like. This isn't going to work well if it rains a bunch like the weather is saying it will. I'm crossing my fingers that the weather will magically change! The coach would like everyone to stick around and come watch all the teams perform when it's their turn, but I'm not sure how that works out with the times being hours apart and there not being anywhere to gather and hang out. With the weather not being nice, it won't be worth going to the beach either, so who knows what we are going to end up doing.

It sounds exhausting. Hurry up and wait. I want to sign up for either Acorn TV or Britbox, but not both. I want it for the mysteries, so either would suffice. I don't know. I need to focus better today. My mind is all over the place. None of which is work related. I ordered a pair of shoes. Orange.

Dale is certainly going to be renamed Piglet. LOVE Piglet!!!! Yes, it is officially his new name. He is one little Piglet. As you can see, the wildlife keeps me entertained, and I can't leave out the hours Alex spends watching them. It's going to be a busy day of meetings today.

I bought my first pair of shoes that aren't Converse or a cheap knockoff (it was cheap and didn't last) in thirty years. My first Reeboks, which look a lot like the first Converse shoes I got to wear in the rain. Those wore out on the bottom and I'm hopign these won't. My second converses that are able to be worn in the rain also wore out on the bottom.

I ordered a half size larger, because I swear my feet grew, but they feel a little big. They are not rounded at the toe, so that may make them look big. I have small feet, or smallish feet (6), so realistically they aren't big. I like them though. They are quite bright!!

I got back around 8:30 last night. Our plane landed at 7 and then we had to get luggage and drive an hour home. The competition went great. The team had the best 2 performances of the entire season and ended up winning their division, so that was a lot of fun. The weather while we were there wasn't great though, so we didn't get to spend any time at the beach. It was 63 ish and rainy every day but Sunday. But Sunday we were at the competition from 1:00 pm until after 6:00 pm. Emily was regretting not having her brothers come because she got bored with it just being me and her. She did really enjoy getting to eat so much crab while we were there. That is what she ordered at every seafood restaurant we went to.
I'm really bad at taking pictures so I don't have many, but I'll try to add a few more to facebook soon.
I want to see your orange shoes when you get them tanmi!

Emily and I think alike. I love crab, never liked lobster, because of texture, but love crab. Crab is sweet.
The competition sounds like it was fun and they did really well. That makes everything more fun. Congratulations!!
I am going into the office today for a bit. I did a password change on the laptop and it crashed. They weren't able to repair it remotely, so I am going in to hook up to system. IT is going to meet me there.
I signed up for Acorn TV, not because I wanted it over BritBox, but because it was easier to get. I figure once I run through what they have, I can always cancel and then get BritBox.
We woke up to snow. We're having that April cold spell that is to be expected. Roads look dry, which is all I worry myself over.

Be safe to and from the office. I don't like lobster either, texture and taste. It was some of the best crab we've ever had too! I'll have to look into Acorn TV and see what they have. I did a trial of Discovery Plus to see if they had everything that I wanted cause if they did I could cancel our slingTV and switch to that for only $4.99 a month, but they don't have the newest season of Married at First Sight. No streaming service does...they are all a few seasons behind. Today will be spend working, working, working trying to get caught up. I did a little yesterday but it was mostly a day of "house" stuff...grocery shopping, unpacking, cleaning etc.

I am attempting to wrap my head around the fact that you watch Married at First Sight!!!
That's the problem with work and time off, when you go back to work, it's as if you never had time off.
We had to run an errand this morning, so we stopped at McDonalds on the way home. I barely pay attention to what I eat anymore. I used to be more careful and eat better foods. Now, it's whatever sounds good to me.
I started yoga finally. I've done it six days in a row now. It has helped my back a lot. I never had back issues, but sitting in this chair all day has started to fatigue my back. I think my posture, not holding abs in like I usually would, have affected it. The yoga stretches me out.
Well, something weird happened yesterday. I was in the driver's seat of the vehicle, an SUV, and decided I need a hand wipe. The hand wipes are in the passenger door. I am 5'1". So I am stretching as much as I can, across the center console, which was digging into my ribs. I heard a pop and felt a stabbing pain. Guess what? Broken rib. How ridiculous is that?

I know! I shouldn't like it and it's the only reality show I watch but I just can't stop watching! I should switch to discovery+ after this season is over. I'm paying too much a month just to watch this dumb show. Were you early enough for breakfast? I love McDonald's breakfast! I'm glad you the yoga is helping. When I remember to do the stretches my chiro told me to do I feel so much better. I can't believe you broke a rib!! And there isn't anything to do for it is there? I hope it heals quickly. I felt lousy most of yesterday so I didn't get as much done as I'd hoped. I still feel a little weird this morning, but hopefully I'll start feeling better. Not sure if it's a migraine or a stomach bug...I just feel weird.

My sister and her husband are in town for just a few days to pick their daughter up from college and move her back home. She did 4 years, but didn't actually end up with a degree. She's moving home and going to 2 more years of dental hygiene school. We're going to miss having her around.

Hi Maze!! I don't know how strong I am, but I do appreciate the positive re-enforcement!! Merr, I had a cousin who went to University of Tennessee for six years. She never got a diploma. She is a nurses assistant. We are now up to three squirrels that pop by. We know which one is Rocky, because he has a divot on his back. The other two are Bullwinkle and Natasha. This is a crazy week, I have appointments every day.

Emily still thinks she wants to be a dentist, but we'll see if she has the drive to actually make it happen. I'd love for her to be one, I just don't know that she'll be able to get through that much school without giving up. Because it isn't really something she's excited to do...she is just related to a few dentists and wants to make good money like they do. If she was passionate about it, then she would have no problem doing it.
Can you tell Bullwinkle and Natasha apart?
Nothing really exciting happening for me this week. Kevin is leaving Friday to help pit crew for a race in Nevada over the weekend. I'm looking forward to being home for the weekend and not having anything to do!

But unlike the other awards shows they didn't do enough clips to make me want to watch those movies, which I knew I wanted to do when watching the other shows. I got Reeboks, the first shoes other than Converse (or a cheap knockoff of Converse which didn't hold up well) in more than 30 years. The Converse shoes that I can wear in the rain wear out on the bottom and don't help when it's raining. So far, I haven't worn my newest Converses that I can wear in the rain enough for them to wear out. But the oldest ones are shot.

I had no desire to watch the Oscars this year. I want to watch them less and less every year. I do like to go online though and see the dresses that were worn. I'm sure you've probably told us Kyle, but how many pairs of Converse do you own? I LOVE the breakfast sandwich bagels from McDonalds, but they don't have them where I live anymore. I always make sure to get them when I go to Nebraska to visit though.

No, no Oscars. I couldn't muster up a second of interest. I used to like to watch to see who won and then I would change the channel during speeches.
Between Bullwinkle and Natasha, one squirrel is quite a bit smaller than the other, so that's Natasha. Since that squirrel will be bigger in no time flat, it will be either/or.
I have never had the bagel sandwiches at McDonalds. Do the eggs slide out when you bite into it?
I think I may have to take a moratorium on news again. I have a difficult time resisting, but I just can't take it. The negativity is soul crushing.

Nah, the eggs don't slide out... they're that "square, folded" egg that sits on the bagel. And the grilled onion and meat hold it down too! LOLOLOL I agree Tanmi... News has become engineered to be outrageous, shocking and....addicting.
