has announced that the person Dean trusts and Sam doesn't is Dean's daughter. I just want Sam to be right for once.
Hmmm, didn't think that Jared was referring to an episode filmed that earlier... Can't say I'm thrilled with this... Like you, all I'm hoping is for Sam to be right just once...

I knew it would be Dean's daughter. I don't think Sam will hide his feeling about her from Dean, I think it will play out all in that one episode, which is better than carrying it around for more episodes. Excited but also sad that Dean once again will lose something that he tries to gain trust, love, and understanding from. At least Sam is going to be there for him.

Hard to tell with both boys holding guns. If its a Heart episode, it could bring them closer together.

I hope this is more like Heart and that Dean in some way participates in killing his "daughter" if that is what it comes to. I really don't want to deal with the fallout of "Sam killed the only child Dean will ever have!" Plus don't want to hear how Amy shouldn't have been important to Sam, but what ever her name is was understandably important to Dean. Mostly I don't want to hear Dean telling Sam that Sam can't possibly be right because Sam is a hallucinating psycho and therefore has no right to make decisions on what is bad and what is good.
Oh heck. Whatever Sam does, he will be wrong, even if he is right because Dean will be hurt and fandom will blame him. I should just get over it.

Lol basically this Sam can't do anything without being blamed for it. Half of the blame should be put on the writers though...well half the writers fault and half the fans fault. Usually Sam is not a good guy in many fan's eyes. But he will always be Sammy to me.

Oh great... yet another episode for the show to express how wrong Sam is and for Dean to emo over it. I'm getting quite tired of this. Sorry for my negativity. I have no more faith in this show whatsoever.

This episode has me incredibly nervous because Sam has always been portrayed as the bad guy or as wrong and it just irritates me...

Guys, guys.....calm down.....we won't even see the episode for a month and you've already decided how it will play out. Let's just give it a chance. I like to see both guys learn from their mistakes. I see neither as portrayed as always right or always wrong. But at least let's wait until the episode actually airs before we condemn it, okay?

Certainly THEY could fake a DNA test if Dean is smart enough to take one for the girl. But at least let's wait until the episode actually airs before we condemn it, okay? I want to wait until the episode airs. I'm really trying to, but I have seen this play out too many times before. Even if the writers make Sam look good a large part of fandom will then claim that they are white washing Sam when they wouldn't do it to Dean. Heck reading the comments to the spoiler was painful due to the accusations of storyline stealing by Sam and the desire that Dean walk out on Sam the way Sam did AND find Castiel and have a real friend. Mostly I'm panicking in the hopes that if I come up with the worst case scenario, I will actually be relieved when the episode airs because it will be better than I predicted. I've done it the other way for so long, expecting things to be good and then feeling so sick and let down when Sam apologizes to Dean for doubting him and Dean emos about how lying to Sam made DEAN feel bad but never asks Sam how it made Sam feel or apologizes to Sam for lying, for example. I'm just trying to build up scar tissue in preparation.

Originally a storyline like this was SAM's storyline, not Dean's... So, how does that even make sense? Pretty much you hit the nail on the head, percy. It's exactly how I feel too and I'm doing the same thing you are. I'm trying to build up scar tissues so I can be prepared to be let down as well. Like I said, I just hold out no hope because I've had my hopes up too many times that Sam wouldn't be thrown under the bus in regards to whatever the show is bringing us and he always has been... So yeah. I don't really care if this episode hasn't aired yet or won't air for another month. I'm not willing to take my chances at being let down yet again.

I SAW ALOT OF THROWING THE BABY OUT WITH THE BATH WATER HERE. FOR STARTERS, DEAN IS A SMART GUY. HE'S NOT JUST GOING TO TAKE THE WORD OF A TEENAGER HE'S NEVER MET, THAT SHE'S HIS DAUGHTER. I'M SURE HE'LL RUN A FEW 'TESTS' TO MAKE SURE SHE ISN'T A LEVIATHAN. I'M GUESSING THAT SHE WORKS AT GAINING HIS TRUST AND PLAYING OFF OF ANY PATERNAL FEELINGS DEAN MAY DEVELOP. IF SHE CAN'T BE SAVED AND HAS TO BE GANKED, I'M HOPING THAT IT PLAYS OUT MORE LIKE 'HEART'. I THINK THAT WOULD BE FAR MORE TOLERABLE FOR EVERYONE IN THE FANDOM. I'M SURE BOTH BOYS WILL SUFFER EVEN MORE EMOTIONAL DAMAGE AFTERWARDS. I'M HOPING, FOR THE SANITY OF THE FANDOM, THAT THIS DOESN'T PLAY OUT LIKE 'THE GIRL NEXT DOOR'. THERE WOULD BE COMPARISONS MADE BETWEEN DEAN'S GANKING THE KITSUNE, AND SAM'S GANKING EMMA. NO DOUBT, THERE WOULD BE ARGUEMENTS ABOUT WHICH BROTHER WAS RIGHT, WHICH ONE WAS WRONG AND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EMMA AND THE KITSUNE. PERSONALLY SPEAKING, IF EMMA DOES TURN OUT TO BE A MONSTER (TECHNICALLY, AMAZONS ARE NOT 'SUPERNATURAL' IN LORE, THO WITH SPN THEY LOOK TO HAVE BEEN MADE INTO SOMETHING SUPERNATURAL), THEN SHE'LL UNFORTUNATELY HAVE TO BE DEALT WITH. A MONSTER IS A MONSTER IS A MONSTER. I FELT THE SAME WAY ABOUT THE KITSUNE. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE KITSUNE AND EMMA, IS THAT EMMA IS BLOOD TO THE BOYS, WHERE THE KITSUNE WAS JUST A CHILDHOOD 'FRIEND'. THE EMOTIONAL IMPACT WILL BE MUCH GREATER SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THAT DIFFERENCE. IF SHE'S A MONSTER AND SAM HAS TO GANK HER, HE WOULD BE IN THE RIGHT, JUST AS DEAN WAS IN THE RIGHT TO GANK THE KITSUNE. IT'S HOW SAM GOES ABOUT GANKING HER THAT WILL BE IMPORTANT, IMO. IF HE GOES BEHIND DEAN'S BACK, LIKE DEAN DID WITH HIM, THEN HE WOULD BE AS WRONG AS DEAN WAS. IF HE'S UPFRONT WITH DEAN AND DOESN'T HIDE IT, THEN SAM WOULD HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG. BOTH BOYS DO HAVE A TENDENCY TO HIDE THINGS FROM EACH OTHER, THINKING THEY'RE PROTECTING THE OTHER BROTHER. JUST AS DEAN HID HIS GANKING THE KITSUNE AND SAM IS HIDING ALL THIS PAIN FROM DEAN. USUALLY IT COMES BACK TO BITE THE BOYS IN THE BUTT, NO MATTER HOW GOOD THEIR INTENTIONS WERE. I WOULD REALLY LOVE FOR THEM NOT TO HAVE TO GANK EMMA, BUT I DOUBT THAT WILL BE THE CASE. SO IF SAMMY IS THE ONE TO GANK HER, I'M HOPING THAT HE'S UPFRONT WITH DEAN AND DOESN'T HIDE IT. OTHERWISE, I'M HOPING THE EPI GOES THE WAY OF 'HEART'.

JBP -- I know you said that writing in caps is easier for you, but I've got say it's hell to try to read. Especially since you don't even put in breaks for paragraphs. I want to read your posts, but that is too tough on my eyes. Please try to use less caps and a couple of paragraphs to break it up a little.

Just some advice... NEVER EVER read the comments on any SPN story! They'll only piss you off! I always forget that damn advice and I always regret it... @sammy, yes there already a lot of comments about story stealing... There were also comments that wished for Dean to go away from Sam (just like Sam did) but for good this time... (and some go even further to wish once again for the Dean and Cas show... : I too hope that the episode will end up being like "Heart" where both boys in the end will agree that there was no other choice... No more angst and trust issues between them, for Christ's sake, enough is enough!!!

Admittedly, if Dean just accepts this girl is his, it makes him the poster boy for stupid, especially with DNA cloning Leviathans running around. Certainly THEY could fake a DNA test if Dean is smart enough to take one for the girl. Well I guess it depends on who wrote the episode and whether this particular writer decided to write Dean as "smart enough" to run the appropriate tests to be completely sure this girl is his daughter. There are some writers who like to play up the "uneducated/stupid" Dean angle on the show. I guess we'll just have to see if that plays out here. But maybe the "role reversal" Jared spoke of isn't to compare Dean's actions with Amy, but Dean's actions (or rather non-action) with Amy's son? I think no matter what it will be a very difficult situation, but hopefully both boys can come to a mutual understanding of what has to be done.

I'm finding that any synopsis from the Supernatural producers seems intended to mislead us....at least a bit. I read all fo their comments on upcoming episodes with a very large grain of salt. I know we've all heard them say (in the past) that they like to keep the viewers surprised and their misleading comments on upcoming episodes seems to be in line with that. So while I continue to read them (I can't stop myself....I'm a glutton for punishment!), I have learned not to be surpised when any episodes doesn't quite play out the way we've been lead to belive it's going to. I guess that's a good thing. If we know exactly how an episode or season is going to play out, some of the enjoyment at the surprises the writers have worked so hard on is deflated. So, in a nutshell, I'm not going to pre-judge any episode, based on the snippets we read or the photos we get.
