I love that new song of Lionel Ritchie's "You are", I just got his new CD and it's really good That was from 1983. Are you saying he did a new country version?

the jokes were tasteless and dident come off right Isn't that the truth. I finally had time to watch it. There were some signal problems at the beginning. I taped it on a TV which only has an antenna, and I live far enough from the stations that there can be problems, but I've known some of the stations to go for weeks without anything happening. "Save Water, Drink Beer" may have been the best song. It sounded country enough, except for a guitar solo which was at least rockabilly rather than rock, followed by what I call Brad Paisley style guitar. Brad himself sounded like he was accompanied by Kiss (what were THEY doing there? ) and I fast-forwarded through him. I made it through "Banjo" by Rascal Flatts because of Steve Martin, and I have to admit parts of it sounded good. But their singing never sounds good. Zac Brown Band sounds country and I did watch their song, but why can't they clean up the language? A commercial for one of the country radio stations had the lyrics "Toes in the sand" rather than what usually gets played, but I don't imagine what is really in the song would be allowed on a commercial. I'm not sure Scotty McCreery is country enough. He has the hick voice but a lot of these people performing what sounds like rock have that too. I liked what I heard of "You and Tequila" when it kept getting nominated.
