Although we don't have many mods here--more of us are Oz-like Admins, we still reside on Mod Island. And this is the beginning of those tales.
It was Ohleesa who first found the papyrus sheet with runic inscriptions on it that gave the location of Mod Island. However, when she lifted it up she found that it was no more than a collection of ModGramps's toenail cuttings. Later PuppyDreams fed them into what she thought was a mulcher, but was actually a GPS-enabled spectrometer, able to decipher the code, and which give us a set of coordinates. The fact that Monster Island was only a stone-crab's throw away alerted us that we were on the right track.
But we still had much work to do. The CW Network had sunk Mod Island into the depths of the ocean.
Coming up next, how we were able to launch Mod Island once again . . . . in Chapter 2.

Mod island sunk into the sunset never to be heard from again.
I for one shall never forgive how the CW Mods treated the long time users of their boards.
We were not all children who needed to be spanked or controlled.

Mod Island = LOST Island???!!!!  Do we get a Hatch of our own? With the map on the back of the blast door? And a polar bear? And a Black Smoke Monster? Who is going to take first watch punching in the numbers? As long as no time jumping back to the 70s is involved, I'm cool with a LOST Mod Island. *thumbs up* |

Hi folks, it's been a busy day over on Mod Island.
Ohleesa's been going though all the seashells on our beach, throwing those that 'don't fit' back into the ocean. PurpleDragon had a huge birthday party that involved lots of cake and mysterious beverages. She was also talked into taking a huge trek up the volcano (affectionately known as 'Old Blowhole) at the center of the island when someone told her there was a dragon in it. And PuppyDreams had a nightmare about a cat.
More coming. I'll eventally get to chapter 2, and how we resurrected the island.
Till then, all I can say about its location is what I said earlier about it being near Monster. We regularly have to send our new slaves, err, I mean recruits, out to pick up Mothra poop.

Miss NiChloe is back and found an old Gutenberg-era printing press hidden in the storage room on Mod Island. Word has it she's threatening to make good on her pledge to start a tabloid called The Mod Island Tattler.
Several mods tried to swim away from the island in fear of this, but were lured back when we showed Starship Troopers on the huge drive-in movie screen on the island, and they thought they were under attack by giant bugs.
