Some interesting snippets from Nash con (spoilers)

few things from tweets and watching the videos from the con panels:

From the breakfast panel:
Jensen says Baby is coming back. They took her away and have spent $20 to $30,000 doing her up. New suspension, everything. They had a look at her but haven't driven her in the show yet. But Jensen said definitely soon. They are in mid 7.17 so maybe ep 18?

In the current ep they are filming (17) Dean gets thrown around a lot by a woman; through French doors, through a table, into a wall. They told a funny story about how the stunt double (who has been Jensen's stunt double for over 10 years since Dark Angel) had to smash through a table so he threw himself down on it, but it didn't break. Then he did it again. Still didn't break. Then he threw himself twice as high and managed to do it, but he was pretty beat up.

Jared was unshaven at the con. He said he had to do it because in the ep Sam is falling apart and hasn't shaven.

They thanked us for the PCAs. Someone shouted "Maybe next year you'll actually get invited" Jensen said (sarcastically). "That'd be a novel idea."

They said it was refreshing to have Misha back as he is one of the family.

They said they had made a really big push this year to get a s8 - with the PCAs and TCA press junket and everything - trying to make sure the show had a high profile because lots of shows disappear in their 7th season and they really don't want that. They want to keep going. It was great to hear that enthusiasm.

Jensen thinks that when Cas healed him in SS he also healed the hand print.

The current run of eps; 16 to 18ish are Sam centric so that they can have some Dean centric eps later to give Jared time when the baby comes.

They have loved being friends for 7 years after joking that they 'hate working together'

Both Js favourite ep is Death's Door. Jared said he cried when he read the script. He rang Sera to tell her.

Jared and Jensen agreed that Sam's and Dean's treatment of Cas at the end of s6 was justified because they warned him. But they think redemption is possible.

They think Bobby could come back.

They were asked (something like) if the brothers relationship is based on the Js relationship. Jensen says yes, and feels the writers and staff take ideas from watching Jared and Jensen and incorporate it into show. Producers catch a lot on the outtake reels and work that into future episodes.

Out of 200 crew members only about 30 have changed during the 7 seasons.

Someone asked Jensen about Destiel . Jensen says Dean & Cas have an odd, strange friendship. Dean sees him as a reliable source.

Jensen said there was a ballerina ep coming up

So much negative thoughts about what went down in this convention, but I already shared them at one thread, better not bring negativity every where I go, so I will say the thing I enjoyed the most was at the meet and greet of Jensen's. He spoke about an idea that he shared with jared about how he would like the show to end, and for the firest time in 7 years he want to pitch the idea to the writers. I have more faith in Jensen than I do the writers and the moment, I just wished he told spilled what the idea was lol

as for what went down, all i can say is this:

HOLY CRAP ON A STICK,PEOPLE

while i do still like the character of castiel, i completely agree with what JARED said. cas DID deserve the treatment he got. the boys warned him, and pleaded with him to stop. he didnt listen, and ended up hurting a whole lot of innocent people (the boys included).

as for what that girl asked, she deserved the backlash for asking such a stupid question. while i have no prob with the boys possibly exploring their sexuality with others, the angel/human and brother on brother pairings need to stay strictly in the realm of fanfiction. it has no place in actual canon. nor does it have any place being asked to the actors who portray the characters. i mean, hello, we got their reaction to that type of stuff in 'tmateotb', when the boys discovered wincest

Seriously, Jared can't catch a break with some of the fandom. They went out of their way to get to this convention and parts of the fandom have to be so negative about how someone answers a question? I mean, they answered the Destiel questions and both of them were positive about Dean and Castiel's friendship. They talked about getting other actors back. They support the fans and the writers decisions. It's not like they're going to stand up and say that sucked. (I think Jensen learned that lesson last season when his comments at one convention were twisted and taken out of context. So, now, they're going to be even more careful.) They talked about sex scenes despite the fact that both of them have said on multiple occasions that they're uncomfortable with them.

Conventions are suppose to be fun and the answers half the time are not that serious to keep the mood light and the crowd laughing. They joke around a lot. Fans shouldn't take so much stock in what is say on the spot on stage at a convention. But they're fans and with the cookie comes the nuts or at least that's what my friend says

Anyway, the girl who received the backlash was that from the non-Destiel fans about trying to ask such a question or from the Destiel fans for not going all the way through with it and get Jensen to profess Dean's epic love for his angel ? (I like Castiel, but parts of his fandom club are wearing me out.)

I like Jensen's Q&A. (I haven't seen any posts about Jared. Did he not do one?) I love that he said that Dean would have shot Emma despite that he was still processing it. I didn't agree with Jensen's take on Amy's death, so I'm glad to agree with this one.

But this was my favorite part:

Ackles: No. He would’ve made all the deals. He wouldn’t have tried to live a life of normalcy with Ben and Lisa though. I think he’d wish to take that back, in hindsight knowing he was never really out of the game and that attempt was never really going to go through.

I love that Jensen agrees that Dean would do everything else the same, but leaving hunting. I do think Dean regrets going to Lisa. He ended up making his life a lot harder and hurting the people around him.

Dean's soul, it's not like it hasn't been through enough it needs an imprint?! But you shouldn't poke at the extremist agendas or put convention speakers in awkward positions, so it's hard to feel too sorry for her. People should really think through their questions. Still, it has got to suck getting heat from different sides of the fandom.

Interesting that when that scene was bought up and talked about we weren't howling and whistling or anything about finally seeing this boys bod...it was about the handprint.

It was bizarre. Even Jared started the objectifying lol and still it was about stupid scar, that heels or disappears or whatever.

Here is the low down of what happened, all I have to say is I admire Jared so much for putting up with a lot!!! This was a Jensen/Jared panel, and it's like fans were trying to push Jared to the side. I watched one video that was almost 30 minutes long, and he was silent for the majority of that video because most of the questions were for Jensen. But Jared braved through it and smiled and laughed. Seriously, he is a sweetheart to everybody there, yet he probably doesn't know that most of them go home and write awful stuff about him

So basically Jensen and Jared were asked if it right the way Cas was treated at the end of season 6, Jared responded that he felt it was justified because they did warn him. Jensen agreed. But Jared got the shit for it.

Than the other one was a girl asked Jensen about what he felt about the "Pairing" of Cas and Dean, the audience groaned at the question, but Jensen switched it to "You mean friendship" She didn't mean friendship, but she went along with it.

The war between fandom went on mostly at tumbler, where people disagreed with Jared and gave him shit for what he said, and than some others defending him. Same with the girl, some didn't see the big deal in asking (though IMO it was a big deal) while others said there should be a line drawn in what gets asked.

Usually conventions are supposed to be fun and exciting and you get a joy reading reports and such, this time the energy was different, i didn't like it.

Yes I don't know. I just feel that they were all gung ho about Sam and Dean being back on the road, fighting and fighting demons and getting back to just the two of them. NOW its all changed and we're inviting everyone thats ever been at a convention.

I think the guys are having a problem with the forced drama crap like Amy and Emma. They like having the brothers together, but not to the amount of depression that the show has gotten to. They want Sam and Dean fighting demons, not each other over whether you should kill the monster. Or the endless amount of Dean depression. I think they want some lighter kicking-ass material. I do think that Jensen isn't fully impressed with Dean's depression and questioning hunting. He has said on multiple occasions that he likes badass hunter Dean, not "why should I do this" Dean.

I'm thinking that if they can't get the material they like, then they might as well have their friends around to get through it. I think they're tired like the fandom is with everyone dying or everything being depressing and angst. "They can't do anymore sad songs."

I think they want Sam and Dean together, but they don't keep having drama forced into that relationship. I think a supporting cast would help to correct that and get Sam and Dean united. Kind of like last season against Samuel, Crowley, and Castiel. That's what they were gung-ho about earlier this season when it was looking like Sam and Dean together kicking demons and monsters around. But instead they got Amy, debating about to hunt or not to hunt, mope about Castiel, New Moon grieving, and question hunting with a side of suicide wondering. That's really bleak way of looking at this season. But they don't want "I can't even look at you right now!"

I guess when you go into this season thinking you're going to get demon hunting and instead you get five episodes about the ethics of lying and killing monsters, then you might want a few co-stars back. I would be making demands too.

The thing is Jared is voicing what the most SPN fans are thinking regarding Cas' crime. The breaking of Sam's wall was the LAST unforgivable act that people could tolerate up until that point.

“those extreme Cas lovers/enablers pretty much got me hating Cas the character, which is the opposite of their intention. They know deep down that Cas is indefensible but are desperately trying to give a pass to a cold-blooded torturer, fratricide, liar, self-proclaimed god who stole millions of souls and destroyed Sam's wall by somehow blaming it all on Dean. Cas never took accountability or responsibility since season 4 so I guess his fans thinks that's okay.”
