The episode is worth the wait according to reviews on the AMC site. Here are just a couple of the reviews.
"Fans are already buzzing about the Mid-Season Premiere and they’re not alone. The reviews for Sunday’s episode are in and the critics are heaping praise on the episode, which they call “Spectacular,” and “One of the best, most-shocking episodes of The Walking Dead…” What else are the critics saying? Read on and find out just how exciting Sunday promises to be:
• “The first episode back delivers exactly what viewers have wanted to see for months… massive carnage, a lot of near-death experiences, the biggest crowd-pleasing moment of the season, and hands down the best cold open of the series so far.” – Dustin Rowles, UPROXX
• “The Walking Dead has spun its best episode in years with ‘No Way Out.'” – John Saavedra, Den of Geek!"

It has been predicted Negan will commit a devastating act. Who do you think he will smash first with Lucille?
A man?
Abraham (Military background makes him dangerous) Daryl (Maybe he is not untouchable after all) Eugene (Smartest man in the room) Gabriel (Burn in hell) Glenn (Too soon after the reprieve?) Morgan (Pacifist)
A woman?
Carol (The chameleon) Maggie (Carrying the next generation) Michonne (Warrior) Rosita (Fearless) Sasha (Witnessed the scout’s death) Tara (Gentlewoman)

They did more than that I wasn't expecting it to happen in this particular episode, but i'm pleased i've loved rick/michonne for a long time Only thing bad is it now seems Rick is TOO trusting. Like in this episode Daryl was the one to say that they did not need to bring another man into Alexandria. Before this Rick wouldn't have thought twice about bringing that strange guy to Alexandria. He just wouldn't have.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) was on The Late Show this week. Colbert started talking about "The Good Wife" and JDM switched the topic to "The Walking Dead". He said his 6 year old son believes there are real zombies and he is fascinated by them. When his son is on the TWD set, they explain that those are fake zombies. He recognizes the fake zombies but still thinks there are real ones. That all started when he fell asleep on the bed beside JDM when he was 3. JDM was watching the episode where the walkers ate the horse and that is what the 3 year old woke up and saw.

In last night's episode, "Not Tomorrow Yet", a cast of Greg Nicotero’s head was used for the fake head of Gregory.
