That's like my favorite show to watch, but I keep forgetting to watch it. You guys, please tell me what happened!!! The last episode I watched is where Henry ends up stuck in the cave. And then I got busy on Sundays. Help? Please? Just a little summary will do!

And then I got busy on Sundays. Help? Please? Just a little summary will do! I had to look it up, but Emma becomes a deputy, and the psychiatrist (Jiminy Cricket) goes down in the cave as well. It's pretty scary but you know it'll all come out all right and it eventually does. Most of the episode is about how Jiminy Cricket became a conscience. His parents went around conning people with tricks like which shell has the ball under it, and he started feeling guilty about doing stuff like this. Eventually, the parents' antics lead to the death of a little boy's parents. He was trying to stop something from happening (I'll go on a less-trusted web site that has more information at a library) and the poison from Rumplelstilskin killed the parents. Rumpelstilskin couldn't bring them back. The Blue Fairy turned him into a cricket and made him a conscience for the little boy, who grew up to be a toymaker named Geppetto.

I meant AFTER that episode, because I had already seen that episode. Sorry if I was unclear.

Gave the show a try for a while. But in the end, the things that annoyed me about it (lack of moral complexity; too much romance; how every one refers to each other in fairytale world: 'Snow,' 'Red') outweighed the things I liked (chief among them, Rumpelstiltskin  )
If I hear of a Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold centric episode, I'll tune back in though.
I also, although to a lesser extent, like the evil queen. So, all in all, I found myself rooting for the bad guys.

That's like my favorite show to watch, but I keep forgetting to watch it. You guys, please tell me what happened!!! The last episode I watched is where Henry ends up stuck in the cave. And then I got busy on Sundays. Help? Please? Just a little summary will do! If you don't mind skimming/reading the ABC recaps are quite thorough. You'd want to start with 'The Shepherd', which comes after the cave ep: The Shepherd recap or the photo recaps, which appear to be slighter shorter: The Shepherd photo recap. If you're in the US, you can also watch the last four episodes on the ABC site (you're currently 5 behind, including this past Sunday's). A few of the major plotpoints: - David woke up from his coma and was introduced to his wife. He finally decided to commit to making his marriage work, but things have been going rocky and he still yearns to be with Mary Margaret. - The Sheriff/Huntsman started remembering the fairytale world, and sort of getting involved with Emma, which led to Regina killing him by squeezing his heart, though the medical examiner ruled it a heart attack (The Queen took the Huntsman's heart after discovering he lied about bringing her Snow White's heart). Regina then fired Emma and tried to appoint the newspaper editor to Sheriff, but Emma made a deal with Mr. Gold for his help, and she ended up dragging forth an old town charter rule to allow for a vote for Sheriff. Mr. Gold's manipulations resulted in Emma publicly going against him, which leads to her winning the vote (what Mr. Gold says he planned all along). - The Prince that Snow White loves is actually sort of an imposter. The Real Prince was given to the King as part of a deal with Rumpelstiltskin (because the King & Queen couldn't have children), then later died trying to slay a dragon. When the King tried to get Rumpelstiltskin to bring back his son, Rumpelstiltskin said it couldn't be done, but told him about the Prince's twin brother. The King eventually convinced the twin to take the Prince's place. - In 'Desperate Souls' we get Rumpelstiltskin's story. Ogre wars were going on in the Fairytale world and children were being subscripted into fighting at the age of 14. R's son was 13, and just before his birthday R attempts to get his son to runaway with him to avoid having to fight, but they get caught. An old beggar advises R to steal a dagger that can control The Dark One (an evil warlock-type that the knights who collect children to fight in the wars use to deal with anyone who tries to resist). R steals the dagger and stabs The Dark One, who is actually the old beggar, and R ends up becoming the new 'Dark One'. R's son ends up scared of what his father has become.

Ok, an Evil Queen centric episode this week, and a Rumpelstiltskin/Gold episode next week....I'm gonna go back to watching this show for at least a little while longer.
Oh, and I thought the twist with the genie's wish was really cute.

Yeah... the romance type things seem a little confusing but I absolutely love everything else! Guys aren't supposed to like mushy stuff. Danny DeVito called himself Rumpelstilskin in the movie "Heist". Now Robert Carlyle does such a perfect job I'm fully expecting an Emmy nomination, but it's too bad Danny is committed to "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", where he's quite good, because he's the right size to play the dwarves.

I'm not going to get bored to the point of not watching. It's always interesting to see how they'll handle various fairy tales. Though I am kind of bored right now.

The dwarfs don't look all that small. Of course, Peter Dinklage is otherwise occupied and I guess there aren't that many actors as short as him. Danny DeVito is in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia".

Mark Povinelli is on "Are You There, Chelsea?" He's really good. I read he is the first ever little person to be a regular on a sitcom. So that's three people short enough to be dwarves who were otherwise occupied.
This show is just getting too weird for me.
Little Red Riding Hood shouldn't be prettier than Snow White. But Ruby is gorgeous. I hate they made her the wolf.

Matthew Moy of "2 Broke Girls" is another actor the right height to play a dwarf, but the show wouldn't be the same without him.

Who saw "Titanic"?
I was really surprised it was only one hour on Sunday. I guess there was no point in not airing all of the first three hours on Saturday.
But it didn't pre-empt "Once Upon a Time", which wasn't going to be new anyway.

I think the show has gotten more interesting with each new episode. The characters they add and the information they bring to the storyline add more twists.
One episode featured Mr. Gold and showed what happened to Rump's son. I had been wondering all along what had become of the son. Can anyone guess whether or not we have seen Rump's son in our world?
The latest episode showed what happened before and after the baby was put in the cupboard. I know they fooled a lot of people with the last two episodes.
The supporting characters do their jobs well and keep the show entertaining.

I watched the Kentucky Derby and as the jockeys walked out to their horses, I couldn't help but think of this show. Snow White with three times as many friends.

The episode "An Apple Red as Blood" brought the Mad Hatter back. He must be really desperate to trust Regina. After he did what she wanted, Regina still did not keep her promise. Poor guy. Snow White and her not-so-merry men are pretty tough fighters. I had to keep reminding myself it is a fairy tale as it stretched credulity. But no criticism from me as the whole point of watching the show is for entertainment. It was nice to see the fairies play a role. Mr. Gold does not want to help Regina get rid of Emma. There is so much mystery surrounding Mr. Gold's end game that it makes him the most interesting character. I don't know what to say about Henry. But this all leads to what is touted to be a heck of a season finale which brings back some of the guest stars. SPOILER for season finale. >>> ABC has released a list of guest stars that includes Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Jamie Dornan as the Huntsman, Kristin Bauer as Maleficent, Sebastian Stan as Jefferson/Mad Hatter and David Anders as Dr. Whale. Plus, the description promises a team-up of ... Emma and Regina.
"Emma and Regina team together in order to find a way to save Henry's life. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Prince Charming attempts to escape from the Evil Queen's clutches in order to reunite with Snow White who, unbeknownst to him, has already taken a bite of the Queen's poison apple." <<<

Sidney/The Mirror was on "Community" last night. He played Gilbert, the man in charge of distributing the estate of Pierce's father. The winner of a video game was supposed to receive everything. Gilbert knew a lot more about how to win and get it all, but the Study Group was smarter.

The finale gave a satisfactory resolution to most of the story lines, and Emma actually did something exciting. I wondered what was left for season 2, and Rumpelstiltskin/Gold did something that makes me look forward to season 2.

I know, at least they gave us something! I guess I'll check it out during season two... but I have to admit I almost quit in the middle of season 1 a couple of times.
