I know certain grocery stores are, banks are, fast food places but only with drive-thru/carryout , gas stations, the post office, certain auto shops and drugstores like CVS.

Because of the county restrictions still.

Okay is there any restrictions easing up there? I thought the stay-at-home order ended three weeks ago but it was just last week. Though the order wasn't enforced. What happened three weeks ago was more businesses were allowed to open. I hadn't thought about this but it was because of Gov. Cooper that we were cooped up.

Gotcha, well my county is beginning phase 1 hopefully on Monday. I do have to go out to do our primary election voting on Tuesday since they didn't mail me my ballot, crazy they mailed my mom's but I never got mine.
I will definitely leave the apartment early so I can hopefully be in and out within a decent amount of time.

Probably around 6:30 a.m. The polls open at 7 and it takes about 15-20 minutes in walking there.

What do you consider late?

Regarding 7 AM time for opening polls, I always voted before going to work and a lot of other people did also. That way, if we needed to work overtime, we would not miss our opportunity. Plus, the lines were shorter in the morning.

What do you consider late? Any time after noon, that's when it gets hotter and more crowded.

Plus, the lines were shorter in the morning. That is very true, certain elections I have worked we have quite the morning rush but then it dies down a bit then picks up again around lunch then picks up again towards the end of the day. One election we literally had over 50 people waiting before we officially opened the polls but it doesn't take too long to start once you get the polls opened.

If I followed your suggestion, I would commute to work, commute back to the polling place, then commute back to work, and then commute back home. By voting before I go to work, I would not have to do that.

It depends on the polling site, most are equipped with air conditioning and other things to make it more comfortable but I don't consider to suck. I just don't want to be out that long since it is a long walk there to the place and back. I also don't know how the restrictions will be so that's why I am getting there early so I can get in and out relatively easily.

Plus, the lines were shorter in the morning. You could vote during the day your boss has to allow you to vote. It depends on the employer though and it depends on where the nearest polling site is for people to vote. If someone who is registered to vote in the state of Maryland works in DC/Virginia they cannot commute easily back to their polling sites so it makes sense to do it early in the day or late in the evening after work or even do early voting. We had a neighbor who always did early voting and it was probably due to work scheduling the reasons why she did it. Also at one time a Maryland voter could only vote at their polling sites, they have since changed that policy where they can vote in any Maryland polling site as long as they are registered to vote for Maryland. Another thing they are starting to allow same-day registration so if someone wanted to vote and they weren't registered earlier they could do so on the day of elections, they used to not do that. So it makes it a lot easier for the voters and those working the polls.

Tomorrow is election day and since I didn't get a mail-in ballot I have to go vote in person tomorrow.
