As I'm watching the episode all I can think is how similar the zombie virus is to Alzheimer's disease in that it takes those we love a long time before they actually die.
It's also easy to see that they cut the budget by almost 40%, as was revealed during the ouster of Frank Darbont as showrunner. We see nothing we saw on the scale of the Atlanta scenes so far this year.
Cutting out that element is really significant to me, and changes the story from an epic into your more run of the mill TV, and I'm sorry to see that happen. All I can say is they need to show us the money soon.
On a quieter note (which is likely all we'll get these days) the scene with Carol and Shane at the water well was wonderful.
Wow, Dale has figured out that Shane sacrificed Otis. I usually don't care for Dale most of the time, but every now and then he surprises me.
BTW, it all seems to be setting us up for this spoiler from the comics regarding Shane:
Shane is already dead by this pont in the comics, and knowing that the actor who portrays him is leaving soon leads us only to the inevitable here . .. Shane will die soon.
