Why the heck are they bumping The Secret Circle? Not that I care but I'm curious.

Woo-hoo! Supernatural is clearly better than anything else in CW's prgramming schedule. They're just coming a little late to the realization - unsurprisingly! They must finally realize the boys bring in more viewers athan any other silly teenage angst vampire shows!

It just seems perfect to have even rebroadcasts on Thursday nights, doesn't it?
It was so good when Smallville and SPN were both on Thursday night.
We all know that Friday nights are a death sentence, for the most part in broadcast TV.
BTW, The Secret Circle is not doing so well in the ratings for the CW. The only real hit they have, and it's modest at best, is Vampire Diaries.

as long as they don't load up the spn truck and move it back to thurdays permanently. i'd have to re-do my work schedule AGAIN, as well as come up with a viable explanation of why i can no longer work thursday evenings.....again

They should never of moved it. SPN never got the respect and tptb never gave the fans any respect either. Interesting news though.

Dammit!!! Puts it right across from "Person of Interest." Love the fact that the network is offering a double dose of SPN each week, royal suck that it is in direct competition with PoI. Why not 9pm Wed, or Monday? It would work so much better for me on either of those two spots...and after all, everything IS all about me. ;D

Just found out that they are going to re-air Repo Man on Thursday March 8th.
Didn't say why they're doing this. Are The Secret Circle ratings that bad? Or are they just bad for a Thursday?
I'm a little surprised that we are having a double dose of SPN.
It seems to me like they are trying to see how SPN would fare if they moved it back to Thursdays. If that's the case, I'm a little surprised they aren't trying The Secret Circle on Fridays during the next couple of weeks when SPN is in re-run.
I hope I made sense.

I invite everyone to come by and check out the main forum from time to time. 3Sheets2thewind posts the network ratings there every week, as she has since the days of the initial WB forum. And at the very end she recaps the CW ratings. What you see are the overall viewership numbers, they're not broken down into demographic shares. Yes, The Secret Circle is performing poorly, with a total viewership of just 1.82 million people last week. The disappointing news is that Supernatural did only slightly better with 1.88 million viewers. The only real 'hit' the network has as of now is The Vampire Diaries, with 3.03 million viewers. Nothing else comes close. On most networks 3.03 million viewers would be few enough to place it on the endangered list. But this is the CW we're talking about. I'm thinking this move by the CW is an attempt to shore up ratings for Supernatural by hopefully exposing it to a wider fan-base. And that's always a good thing.

I sure hope so. S7 has been so good, it's a shame the ratings aren't going up

I don't think it's the show's fault at all. I think that belongs to the network. Smallville got ratings like The Walking Dead (8.1 million) in the second season on the WB.
Since the unification of the UPN and the WB under the corporate sponsorship of CBS, my guess from what I've seen is that CBS controls a lot of interest in the show, and although CBS is a grand old network, and one of my favorites for news, they simply don't know much about younger demographics.
The new CW head, Mark Pedowitz, has made some amazing moves in financial structure for the network, and we'll find out with the midseason debuts if his talents lie in the creative end as well.
However, my guess is that he had something to do with the elmination of the CW Lounge and the move to Twitter and FaceBook, also.
