Have you seen the latest thing the CW is trying to do? Go to their 'new' home page that replaced the CW Lounge: www.cwtv.com/thecw/socialIf you click on the 'Fans' link you get a page that asks permission for them to: Access my basic information Includes name, profile picture, gender, networks, user ID, list of friends, and any other information I've made public.Access my profile information Likes, Music, TV, Movies, Books, Quotes, Interests and Events.Access information people share with me Likes, Music, TV, Movies, Books, Quotes and Interests.Send me email fans.tv may email me directly. Post to Facebook as me fans.tv may post status messages, notes, photos, and videos on my behalf..Access my data any time fans.tv may access my data when I'm not using the application..Manage my events fans.tv may RSVP to events on my behalf. Unbelievable! Are folks actually signing up for this?

They're doing it for Twitter as well:
This application will be able to:
•Read Tweets from your timeline. •See who you follow, and follow new people. •Update your profile. •Post Tweets for you.
And that's what they post as the positive reasons for signing up!

I never give any of those sites permission to post as me. I don't understand exactly why they use that wording, but I don't trust them.
Naive people might think its harmless and give them permission.

You know, sadly, that's what I see on Twitter a lot myself.
We use Twitter here on The Evicted to get out information about what we have going on, and more importantly to try to reconnect with the folks from the orginal days of the WB and the CW Lounge, but unfortunately, like you've seen, there is an awful lot of drama there.
As part of of our rules for mods and admins we do not get involved with that

Plus two of my friends are in a local Band out on Long Island so they send me event invites for their gigs and me, my mom, and my Aunt go dance to the music they sing which is mostly older things like Kc and the Sunshine Band, Donna Summer ECT.Sometimes my cousins and uncle will come and its a nice evening out, especially summer when the weather is nice, they play outside at beach places ECt,
We went to see them a couple of time when we first met them and now since we see them so much we have become friendly with them Fan wise.

Back in the day, when I used to write a live music segment in our local paper, I and the two girls I lived with would sometimes have the bands over for dinner. They always appreciated a home-cooked meal. And we made friendships that lasted a lifetime.

One of the girls (my GF) was brunette, the other was a long-legged blonde. Come to think about it I DID look a little like Jack Tripper back in those days. And when we all three went out together we used to get the most amazing reactions from people.

(I had always pictured and wished that Jack Tripper would go out with Janet, the brunette).

Actually I do. My grandmother got me started when I was a little boy. I've had a few jobs involving food. At one time I baked pastries that were sold in a local coffee shop, and I also did a cooking show on radio in in Mississippi, then later on in Louisiana .

Then I deleted my account, then I signed back up sometime later, mainly to follow the cyclist. John Cabrera got me into Twitter. It was Myspace where I had first sent him a message years ago and he added me as a friend after the message. He is a pretty nice guy. He has a decent blog too. I think he was on FB too, but I might have deleted him from my friends list when I was cleaning house. I tend to do that once in a while. Anyway, I don't use the twitter much anymore, but I look at it once in a while.
