I don't know why I bring news here because I am sure you guys already get SPN info from outside this place , but I like to contribute to keeping this place alive. Here is the episode 16 description: DOUBLE TROUBLE — After a ballerina is found dead from dancing herself to death, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) look into the case and discover the ballet slippers she wore were cursed. When Dean accidentally touches the shoes the power of the curse starts to take hold of him. John Showalter directed the episode written by Robert Singer & Jenny Klein.I don't know why they make a synpoisys of an episode to air 3 weeks from now and make it sound so boring. I mean they left the last episode in such a suspense you would think they would want to highlight the darker and more important part of the episode, not make the episode to sound more boring and make it seem like it's another filler. I am bitching, but I will still watch it

Hmmmm... I would think with so few episodes left in the season, the writers would concentrate on the more serious aspects of the storyline, namely, the Leviathins and what they are doing here and what they hope to accomplish. Like you, though, I will watch, no matter what!

Did any of you read "The Red Shoes" as a kid? It was a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale. Of all the rather gruesome (original versions) of those sorts of stories, The Red Shoes was the worst for me. From what I remember, essentially the female character puts on these magic red shoes and goes dancing, but the shoes take over and she can't stop. She dances until her feet are bloody, almost dances herself to death...the only way to save herself is to get her feet chopped off, and even after that the shoes keep dancing with her severed feet inside. If SPN is taking its story from this fairy tale, then I know I'm going to be really creeped out: childhood scary coming back to haunt me!

Considering that we're coming off the huge cliffhanger of Sam now having Lucifer running free in his skull, this description is a bit deflating. Would expect that Sam's issues might be of some importance at this point. But then given how it's always gotten short shrift in the past, I don't why why I continue to be surprised at how it gets ignored.
I like the idea of touching on the old fairytales (with the gorey undertones that tend to get whitewashed), but to put an episode like this so late in the season when there is so much to wrap up before the finale doesn't quite work for me.

O for craps sake............PLEASE stop whining about the "lack of Sam's POV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I am so sick of hearing it. Both characters have had their moments in the sun and their time on the sidelines. Can we PLEASE get over the single character worship??? P L E A S E!!!!!!!!!!

Well SoCal, the only advice I can give you is to learn to ignore. Ravanne has a right to be frustrated - hell, plenty of Sam fans are frustrated - and we damn well are entitled to express it. I happen to share her thoughts. Just because you don't like what she (or others) have to say, doesn't mean their opinions aren't valid.
I thought Jared said this episode was supposed to be Sam centric? Hard to imagine that being true if Dean's cursed and in need of rescue again. *le sigh*

Thank you Spoiler! And SoCal, let's look at it from this way. We're up at episode #16 and are only now just getting starting on getting some focus on Sam's part of the storyline. 90% of what we've seen so far this season has been Dean and his emotional turmoil. Now with only 9 episodes left (if I'm counting right) and three of those are going to be dominated by the winged rat's return, there is precious little time to focus on what should have been a major part of this season's story. So yeah, I'm frustrated as all hell about it. I'm waiting for the time when things get to the point where Sam can no longer keep what's happening to him under his hat and Dean is no longer able to comfortably ignore it. Until then...

I am so sick of fans saying to stop whining about the lack of pov and story line for Sam!!! I mean really??? I am a fan of both Sam and Dean. But honestly, I have seen enough of Dean and his angst. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere and the writers keep going in circles with his depression and angst. We were told that after the first 13 episodes it will start to focus on Sam. It might be, because episode descriptions are not much to go on, but if they want to please the other half of fandom that they should reveal a little about what's going on with Sam. They are not.

Well, we know what happens in Episode 17, so maybe this episode Sam really starts to crack and Dean ACTUALLY notices it.
Yes, episode descriptions can be deceiving. Also, maybe they purposefully left Sam out of it because they didn't want to spoil what's going to happen with him and anything said would spoil it.

I appreciate it. I also appeciate your posting it without pretending to have an inside scoop on what it means, as others have done in the past.

Well, sorry, but I will continue to post as I see fit, just as all others are free to do. My posts are neither more nor less important than any others. I've never posted that anyone else didn't have the RIGHT to post as they did, but once they do, it's an open topic to be debated. And debate I will.

Well, I amgoing to wait until I actually SEE episodes 7.16 and 7.17 before I start in bashing them! Haven't we all learned by now that the creators/writers like to mess with us when they give out snippets of info re: upcoming episodes?

I'm looking forward to this episode a lot more now. I know it sounds gory, but from an effects pov, I can't wait to see if they show dancer's the feet all bloody.

HC Andersen was a bit of a loon so no surprise there And people have left out the most important question...does this mean Dean will be doing ballet dancing?

Looking at some of the photos of the episode, it looks like Dean only touches the ballet slippers as he and Sam try to get them off of the girl's feet. Although Dean in tights would be fabulous.
