To better serve all on the board we've decided to make SPN Fight Club a group. What will that change? Nothing for anyone who wants to be in the group. Everything will be exactly the same. But for those who do not, it means that your posts won't show up in their 'view the 10 most recent posts of this forum' search. In fact, you won't be able to see the board at all unless you want in. Why are we doing this? Some of the folks outside the SPN forum (and some within as well) don't care to be exposed to the good-natured scandalmongering, backbiting, scrapping, riots, blitzkrieging, and general havoc that are Fight Club's stock in trade. ![]() Here's how it works. Anyone who has posted or had a post moved to SPN fight club will automatically be grandfathered in. You're already a member, and it will show up on your profile soon. There are no dorky passwords or anything like that. Anyone who would like to be a member of SPN Fight Club, or who would like to be removed need only send a PM to the mod or admin online at the time and they'll take care of it. Have fun, whether you're in Fight Club or not! ![]() |

We had to do a little more heavy lifting than I realized to limit access to only SPN Fight Club members. Had to create a new category for SPN Fight Club. It's now located just under the General Area, and all of the threads have been moved there from the sub-forum in the SPN board. We'll leave the sub-forum up for a few weeks so everyone can find their way.

Call me befuddled. I don't get the purpose of the move at all. Last night, when I read Mr. Moon's post, I was also befuddled. I reasoned I was tired and it would be more clear today. Yet, I am still befuddled. If a person does not want her posts to be seen in Fight Club, then don't fight!!! Am I missing something here? Edit: I do like it being listed on the General Forum though. I would like it even more if it was "Fight Club" so others would join in.  Maybe Supernatural fans are the only ones who fight  |

So, we thought up a solution to actually make it a general forum with limited access, that way, the people who do not want to see the posts when they search the last ten posts of the forum won't have to look at them. But this does not change anything for anyone wanting access to the fight club. Anyone who wants access to the fight club can have access, all they need to do is PM a mod or admin and you'll be all set. Do you understand what Mr. Moonlight meant now? |

We've had several complaints from folks who aren't members of the Supernatural forum about having to wade through the vehemence they see on the Fight Club thread every day when they try and catch up on what has happened on the board by pressing the 'view the 10 most recent posts of this forum' button. Day before yesterday one of our old gods, a person I had personally worked for months to find, a mentor who had been a member of this group even before I came along over 7 years ago decided to leave because of it. We're still hoping to get that member back someday. That's our fault as mods and admins, for not recognizing the problem sooner. Most folks come to The Evicted for other reasons, the most important of which is to continue the relationships they've enjoyed for many years first on the original WB site, then, in some cases, later, the CW Lounge. We as a group go back a long way. Yes, most of the folks who fight on this board are in the SPN Forum, we realize that, and we've been glad to find a way for you to do it. The Fight Club is a pretty innovative concept, and a great place to let loose with all you have. However, our primary goal has always been to find all of our original members from many different forums and give them a home to come back to. It needs to be hospitable to all. The move to making Fight Club a group simply insures that those who don't want to participate in it don't have to see the posts when trying to catch up on what's happening on the board. Anyone who wants to see those, however, can do so easily, by becoming a member. And that's the reason why we made the move. |

Just to let you know. We'll be taking down the now-unused subforum for SPN Fight Club here sometime soon. Everything has been moved to the Fight Club category located just below the main forum. If you're not seeing it there, just request any mod or admin to make you a member of the Fight Club group. And thanks to everyone who has visited there and helped to make it one of the most popular sites on the board! ![]() |

Chloe and Moon: Thank you for clarification. The reasons are very clear to me now. Apparently fight club posts are not as entertaining to some others as they are to me. I find them delightful and hilarious. Certainly beats being blindsided on a "pro" or "fan" thread.
I believe the admins have been very responsive to complaints and questions. Very quick responses. I hope in the future people will give you at least a reasonable amount of time to resolve issues.
I realized a moment ago that your posts and recent posts of others are not showing up on my phone no matter how I refresh. My apologies for not responding sooner.

This place really is a group effort, serving a unique but widely varied group of people. Some you love, some you hate, some embarass you, and others make you laugh--but what are you gonna do?
